Relocation

Prince of Peace Lutheran sold the property on Mastin Lake Road in April 1998 to New Shiloh Progressive Primitive Baptist Church.

We have purchased property on Highway 72 east - near Fuel City.

We are currently worshiping at the Holy Cross/ St Christopher Episcopal Church at 3740  Meridiain Street. (Just south of Alabama A&M)  Worship Service is at 10:30 a.m.  We alternate between Lutheran and Episcopal Services.

Community Involvement

Food Pantry

Provide food to the needy through Helpline's Food Pantry program here in Huntsville.

Provide sandwiches to the Salvation Amry once a month.

IMS - Interfaith Mission Service

Support the Interfaith Mission Service in Huntsville.

Prayer Chain

Pray for those who are sick, troubled, or in need of prayer for any reason.

Visits to the sick, distressed, and elderly

Pastor and members of the congregation visit the sick, the shut-ins, and those in need.

Youth Outreach

Community Outreach in Akron, Alabama

In June '98 our youth went to Akron, Alabama is assist in putting together playground equipment. This is the beginnings of a park for disadvantaged children in Akron.

One of our members has painted hundreds of goards and sold them as a fundraiser for the Akron playground.

We continue to support additions and upgrades to the playground.

The combined Lutheran & Episcopal Youth are raising $2000 this year to provide a house for a family in the Caribbean.

Special Events

Some of our upcoming events:

February 3
Souper Bowl Sunday
There will be a soup luncheon after church.
We will collect cans of soup for the local food panty
and any monitary donations will  go to the  Lutheran/Episcopal Disaster Relief Fund for the state of Alabama.

We are about to begin celebrating  Lent.

February 13
Ash Wednesday

March 17
St Patrick's Day
We will have an Irish Lunch after the service.
