I

have a new parable for you. Ponder on it and you will understand why the Gospels
contain so much that is claimed to prove fulfillment of the Hebrew Bible prophesies.

Once there was an archer who lived in Europe at the same time as the famous William Tell. Our archer was quite jealous of William's reputation. He thought and he thought until he came up with an idea. At the country fair there was a big barn in which all the prize cows, pigs and horses were displayed. One night after all the crowd had gone home, this archer shot his whole quiver of arrows into the side of the barn. Then, he took some colored paints and a brush and proceeded to paint "bulls-eyes" around each imbedded arrow and then he signed his name to each. The next day, the crowds saw the indisputable evidence of his superb marksmanship. He was acclaimed throughout the land

And so it is with the Gospels. The Old Testament prophesized a virgin birth, resurrection of a messiah after three days, a new hope for mankind named Emmanual., his birth in Bethlehem, a connection with King David, etc., and the New Testament evangelists included all of the above in their writings -- just like the archer. Bull's Eye!

[ Aaron Hiller knew that in the original Hebrew Scripture there is no prophecy of virgin birth. Isa. 7:14. bp ]
