| Mr. Goldsmith was involved in the project acquisition and development management of the Dixie Valley Geothermal Project in 1985 and 1986. The project includes a 60 MW dual-flash geothermal power plant located in north-central Nevada and a 220-mile 230 kV transmission line to deliver power to Southern California Edison Company. Mr. Goldsmith managed Dixie Valley' s permitting process, including the filing of applications for the power plant and geothermal field permits and obtaining approvals for the project's transmission line. He also established the project office, recruited initial staff, and managed public relations during the development phase. Additional involvement on behalf of the project owner included acquisition due diligence review, conceptual engineering specification, financial modeling, project scheduling, lease unitization, and the negotiation of amendments to Power Purchase Agreements. Total project cost was approximately US$ 130 million. Project operations commenced in June 1988. |
