North Lake College Support Courses For Chiropractic Science
North Lake College, a campus of the Dallas County Community College District, offers support courses in Biology, Physics and Chemistry for a degree in Chiropratic Science. The Chemistry support courses, which I am involved most closely with, offer as an alternative to a regular course scheduling, a special unique fast trak or accelerated program in which a student may take two semesters of General or Organic Chemistry in one normal 16 week semester. The first semester of the course is condensed to 8 weeks where students attend lab for two 3 hour sessions per week and have two 3 hour lectures per week. The second 8 weeks of the semester covers the second semester of the course with the same schedule as the first. Students may satisfy their Chemistry requirement for entering a College of Chiropractry within one year instead of the regular 2 year sequence for General and Organic Chemistry. We do have a regular traditionally scheduled Chemistry course which those that find the accelerated section a bit too fast may move into without altering their registration. Those who are interested in such a course offering may contact this instructor at
rhl7460@dcccd.edu for further information. For further information concerning the entire curriculum for Chiropractic Science contact
