A Gathering Place for all Dittus Family Lines

Hi. My name is Pam Dittus and am currently living in the upper Mid-West.  I started tracing the Dittus family after my grandparents had both passed on and found hand-written family trees among the papers they had left behind.  I don't think anyone knew that my grandfather had even started doing this sort of thing.  It's such a shame as I have so many questions for him that I'll never be able to ask him.

This page is meant to be a place for anyone interested in the Dittus family name to be able to meet others with a similar interest.
I have heard from a gentleman that lives in Chile, South America, with the last name Dittus, and his family left Germany about the same time as mine and his went straight to Chile.  He is the third generation of Dittuses born in Chile.
Many families came over from Germany in the early 1850's and settled in New York state and in Pennsylvania.  My particular line came over from Baden, Baden in 1850 & 1852, moved on to the state of Illinois shortly after arriving in America and started farming. Another group of Dittuses came over from Russia in the early 1890's and settled in the northern plains.
I have many Dittus lines for the late 1800's for PA, NY & IL that I have gotten from census records.

Other names related to my Dittus line that I am working on:  Dille, Ludington, Longmore, Fogg, Wepprecht, Jannsson ( Johnson), Borgstrom
