About the Model kit
These model kits were produced by Mojo Resin. Each figure is cast in solid resin.

I made the bases for these kits myself using Balsa Foam and the Monster Customizing kits.
I also used the big machine from the Aurora Robin model kit for the Frankenberry base and the tree from the Aurora Batman for the Fruit Brute base.
The boxes were made with a photo printer and a heavy stock paper.   Although I love these kits, they are still incomplete.
It would be great if Mojo Resin did the Yummy Mummy figure to go along with the other Monster Cereal Characters but unfortunately I don't think that the Yummy Mummy character is memorable enough for them to create a model of him.
However, I've seen less memorable characters that have been cast in resin so I've learned to say, "Never Say Never" in the resin world.

About the Cereal
Count Chocula was the guy that started it all! The first in the Monster Cereal line and (according to most opinions) the best.
Count Chocula first hit store shelves in 1971 and is the easiest of the Monster Cereals to find today.
Frankenberry followed soon after Count Chocula in 1971 and that's when the trouble began. The two were always arguing over who had the better tasting cereal.
The first time that I had ever seen or heard of Monster Cereals was in 1971 when I was 4 years old.
I was visiting with my Grandparents and I have an Uncle who was only 10 years old at the time.
He was eating breakfast (before school) and I heard him say "Wow, I didn't know that Count Chocula had little Chocolate marshmallows in it."
My head did a double take and I asked for a bowl and I've been hooked ever since.
Being a HUGE fan of Monsters, this cereal was like a dream come true for me.
I had another Uncle who once asked, "Do you really like this cereal or do you just buy it because they have Monsters on the box?"
well, I'm now in my 30s and I can honestly answer that question by saying YES, I do like the taste of the cereals BUT the Monsters on the box are indeed an added plus.
Could I pick a favorite among these cereals? No, not really because sometimes I'm in the mood for Chocolate sweetened cereal with Chocolate flavored marshmallows and sometimes I'm in the mood for Strawberry sweetened cereal with Strawberry flavored marshmallows.
There was once a Monster magazine that was more like a newspaper than a magazine called "The Monster Times."
In 1971 (soon after the release of Frankenberry and Count Chocula) the Monster Times ran an article about the two cereals. I have this issue someplace (I'll have to look for it) the only thing that I can remember was that they said something along the lines of...
"We live in a day and age where kids eat Monsters, rather than the other way around."
