Fàilte gu Tàrmachan
(Gaelic for Welcome to Ptarmigan)
Your hosts, Angus and Doreen Macphie are pleased to have you stay in the secluded private cottage near to their home in Broadford, Isle of Skye. Situated just 15 metres from the seashore, this idyllic 5 star self-catering cottage has every imaginable mod-con and with an interior to match, beautifully finished by a ship’s carpenter.
Beautiful sunsets, roaring fires and an abundance of wildlife awaits you at Ptarmigan Cottage
At low water the tide falls back some 100 metres and, as the sea rises to stop just 15 metres from the cottage, an abundance of birds feed at the water’s edge. The occasional otter which crosses the shore can be viewed at close quarters from the comfort of the lounge, using the giant binoculars supplied.
Broadford, the biggest village in the South of Skye is a natural choice for a stay on the Island. It enjoys a central location making it an ideal base for touring the Island and the nearby mainland.
