Sixteen-year-old cancer patient Abraham Cherrix and his family have been in the national news this summer in an evolving struggle that pits freedom of medical choice vs. the state. Abraham wants to continue to use the Hoxsey herbal therapy to treat his cancer. The state of Virginia is trying to force him, in the courts, to undergo conventional chemotherapy.
