Who is Brian Miller anyway? (Biography)

Brian MillerI'm a 48 year old man who grew up in the southern rural part of Columbia, Missouri. I'm a hard worker and honest person (always was and always will be). I have Christian beliefs and I live a quiet, peaceful life. I don't consume alcoholic beverages, smoke or do illegal drugs (never have and never will). I repair small engine equipment and fabricate  various garden tractor pulling parts and perform machine work in our shop/garage since 1982.

In 1988, I became interested in garden tractor pulling. We (my dad and I) visited some of the pulls in our area to get acquainted with pulling. In 1989 I built my first garden pulling tractor. It was a model 100 Cub Cadet 30 Cubic Inch (12hp) Super-Stock and I still have it today. A year later I built another tractor, a model 100 Cub Cadet 10hp Super-Stock. But after a few years, the 10hp class died out in this area and I'm now in the process of converting it into a competitive 16hp (37 c.i.) Super-Stock. Hopefully I'll have it completed sometime in the near future.

In 1992, we had a falling out with the garden tractor association we were pulling with (defunct club that was based in California, MO) and decided to start a new garden tractor pulling association. So we built our own garden tractor pulling sled and acquired all the required equipment. Our sled is named Track Master. It's now recognized as one of the top sleds in the nation. Click here for more information about our sled.

I own two garden pulling tractors and a motorized garden tractor pulling sled, to which I built by myself with the tools in my shop. I learned the hard way how to build my tractors so they'll be competitive. I fabricate most of the parts for them myself in my shop. That's why I created my pulling tips web sites. To help other pullers to do the same. Besides, you learn a lot by doing things yourself, and if it performs well, personal pride goes into the things you build.

In 1998, I created my garden tractor pulling tips and tricks web sites to help promote garden tractor pulling around the world and help bring families and/or friends closer together. It's my way to contribute my experience to society, and try to make the world a better place to live. It gives me a good feeling knowing that there's parents working with their kids and vice-versa because I believe that in today's society, family values are the most important thing nowadays. It builds a better family when they function together and share a common interest. And it makes me feel good knowing that I help so many people and families work closer together.
