Arc AA
"Regulated" LED Flashlight
Available from & produced by: Arc Flashlight
The Arc "AA" or "double a" comes in Type III Hard Anodized natural
finish and has an SB2 ranked nichia LED
that produces 3 lumens of light for 10+ hours and has a slightly bluish
tint which is standard for nichia LEDs.
The "AA" is the new big brother version of the Arc "AAA". The
main and obvious difference is that the "AA" uses
a single AA alkaline or lithium cell, where as the "AAA" (triple a)
uses a single AAA size alkaline cell.
The Arc "AA" also includes the standard Arc 10 year warranty.

The tail end folding split ring design enables you to stand the light
on it's end for hands-free "candle mode".
It is 3 inches long by 0.7 inches in diameter and weighs as little
as 1.3 ounces with a lithium cell.
The internal circuit boosts the power from the single 1.5 volt AA battery
it uses to a voltage
high enough to power the LED. Like the ARC "AAA", the "AA" also
takes advantage
of a small reflector surrounding the LED and is waterproof to 50 feet.
The Arc "AAA" is dwarfed by its big brother the ARC LS and the "AA".
They all make good keychain lights but the ARC AAA is a little more
convenient to carry.
The "AA" is pretty big and it great for those who want longer run-time
and a more substantial
feel than the Arc "AAA". The "AA" I have is slightly brighter
than the "AAA".
Here are front and back shots of the new Arc packaging for the "AA".
Here is a shot of the Arc "AA" on the left and the "AAA" on the right.
