T-STAT: YANK DOWN 1ST TWO SNAPS ON LOWER RAD. SPLASH GUARD ON DRIVER'S
SIDE, WEDGE A SMALL FUNNEL IN FOR DRAIN TUBE TO GO TO, DRAIN RAD. 1/2 WAY.
USE 13MM SHORT SOCKET W/ SWIVEL & 6" EXT. TO REMOVE TWO BOLTS ON T-STAT
HOUSING, THEN PULL HOUSING UP & OUT W/ RAD. HOSE STILL ATTACHED. REMOVE
T-STAT, STUFF RAG IN HOLE & SCRAPE MTG. SURFACE CLEAN. DO A GOOD JOB AND
IT WON'T LEAK. CUT THE SMALL TAB THAT SAYS "FRONT" OFF THE HOUSING, AS IT
MAKES IT EASIER TO GET BACK IN. PUT IN NEW T-STAT, GASKET, AND HOUSING AND
TIGHTEN IT DOWN. RE-FILL AND CHECK FOR LEAKS.

T/V CABLE ADJUSTMENT: THE T/V(THROTTLE VALVE) CABLE CONTROLS AUTO TRANS
SHIFT FIRMNESS VIA FLUID PRESSURE IN THE VALVE BODY. THE HIGHER THE PRESSURE,
THE FIRMER THE SHIFTS. THIS IS A VERY FINE ADJUSTMENT, AS JUST A BIT TOO MUCH
CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE! IT'S ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE T/B, WITH A WHITE
CLIP HOLDING IT IN PLACE. START BY MARKING THE WIRE WHERE IT EXITS THE CABLE
WITH A SHARPIE FOR REFERENCE, THEN PULL THE WHITE CLIP OFF GENTLY AND PULL
BACK TOWARDS THE FIREWALL ON THE BLACK CABLE JACKET SLIGHTLY. YOU'LL SEE A
GAP WHERE MORE WIRE IS NOW EXPOSED FROM YOUR MARK. THIS SHOULD BE NO
MORE THAN 1/4",FROM MY EXPERIENCE. RE-CONNECT THE WHITE CLIP AND TEST RIDE.
IF YOU PULL IT TOO FAR BACK, YOU'LL GET NECK-SNAPPING SHIFTS, BUT IT'LL NEVER
GET OUT OF 1ST GEAR FROM ONE BLOCK TO THE NEXT! I SET MINE BETWEEN 1/8 &
1/4, AND IT FIRMED UP THE SHIFTS JUST ENOUGH THAT THEY'RE NOT THE FACTORY
MUSHY FEEL ANYMORE. NO NEED TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY ON THIS MOD, AS
IT'S STRICTLY MECHANICAL.
