I have been researching my father's family for awhile now.  Over the last couple of years I have been in contact with others who are researching the same families.  Sometimes I lose contact with people so I decided why not try to find a place for these people to gather and share information.  So if you are one of those people come join us.

My gggg-grandparents were Henry FRANKLIN, Jr and Mary Ann HIGGINBOTHAM b. in Amherst CO, VA.  My ggg-grandparents were Reuben FRANKLIN and Matilda Caroline HARRISON.  Reuben was in Barren CO, KY later in life.  My gg-grandparents were Henry Tarleton FRANKLIN and Sarah Sally BRIDGES.  My g-grandparents Henry Reeves FRANKLIN and  Josephine BRIDGES moved to Hickory CO, MO in the 1870's.

Carol Sikes is my Assistant Manager for the VA Franklin Researchers.  Carol has been researching many branches of her family since 1993.  She and her husband have had the pleasure of visiting many of her ancestors' home towns.  She has done research in Glasgow, Barren CO, KY, and other southern states and enjoyed meeting lots of relatives.  Also did research in  Washington, D.C. at the Archives, DAR Library and at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA 

Carol is a member of DAR, Daughters of the War of 1812, Daughters of the Confederacy and Colonial Dames

 Carol's ggg-grandfather was John FRANKLIN, Sr m. Margaret (Pamelia) Dawson of VA, her gg-grandfather was John FRANKLIN, Jr m. Mary (Polly) BIRD, her g-grandfather was John N. FRANKLIN of Dekalb CO, AL, her grandmother was Martha Lewis FRANKLIN.  She married Oliver Perry BUSH and their son Thomas Perry BUSH was Carol's father.
