This site is to help you find methods of recovery from addiction
to drugs and alcohol which are best suited to your needs. It contains links to
12-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and to "alternative" programs like
Rational Recovery. Recovery Net is also helpful in finding discussion groups,
therapists, and treatment facilities.
It is our philosophy that any and all recovery programs that help you to recover from
addiction are legitimate. In fact, modern research (e.g. PROJECT MATCH ) has found that no form
of addiction treatment is superior to any other. In this spirit, Recovery Net
intends to take an eclectic approach to the treatment of chemical dependency. Good
luck in your quest to enjoy the benefits, freedoms, and comforts of a life in recovery.

Upon starting in recovery a physician should be consulted as withdrawal can be life
threatening. See the page on treatment for links to sites which may be helpful in
finding a physician or treatment center.
