RADIOPAUL9

Wherever I go, there I tape, and the result is a ton of New York City and vicinity airchecks from the 80s, 90s, and whatever you call this decade. (some 60s some 70s, come on in!).
This page was last updated: 7/8/05 with some updates to the tv show video collection and less recent updates to the WLIR archives section ; other newer items are a slightly updated version of the wnbc listings ; In November 1999 it was a table of modern rock and alternative stations from the 80s and early 90s, as well as updated AM and FM tapables lists.
You'll probably need REAL AUDIO to hear a sample excerpt of one of the WLIR tapes in this list.
other changes: a few baseball caps were added to the T shirt list and a quick link to NYC archives

i trade if you are not in a hurry. If you have nothing to trade or are in a hurry please see this aircheck list instead

Yes, yet another aircheck collector has created a website. RadioPaul9@aol.com
I have started to include some lists of tapes made on roadtrips, as well as a few other unscoped airchecks pulled out of the closet (see "Other Unscoped Tapes" or "NYC tapes" below). But what's here represents about 1/20 of my collection so tell me about other stuff you're looking for.

Here's a list of stations I can tape from my home in New Jersey, as of Fall 1998:

See the AM Tapables List ...... Go to the FM Tapables List go to the 87.9 blog

COLLECTION TAPES: I've got stuff I recorded myself, stuff people sent me that they didn't keep a copy of for themselves (usually when we did a 'current tape of local stations' trade), and stuff people sent from their trips, which I presume they kept a copy of. In the third case, I'll include their initials at the end of the listing, since it means you may be able to get a better copy of the tape from them. (However people who are not in the hobby anymore (can you imagine??) may not be credited.)

Most of what will be listed below (via underlined links) is unscoped, unless the only form I have it in is scoped or half-scoped. Onward:

TRIP TAPES

Here's a brief description of tapes made on a trip to Baltimore and Washington DC in late April, 1997
Here's a brief description of tapes made on a trip from NJ to Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Columbus, Pittsburgh in September 1988

Go to the list of tapes made on Wildwood Trip 7/97
Here's the list of tapes made on Maine trip August 1997

OTHER UNSCOPED TAPES

Go to the list of Miscellaneous tapes, box 1

Note: typically in recording stations and making dubs I use TDK D-90's or Maxell UR-90's (depending on what's on sale), autoreverse, and Dolby B, but will go to hi-bias tape, no problem if you want to and will as well

NYC tapes Okay, after repeated requests from one of america's two most listened to college disk jockeys, I've added some station-specific scoped and unscoped tapes in my collection to the page.

I also have some radio station T-shirts I wanna get rid of, click here for a list Radio station T-shirts and hats for sale
