The aim of The Rat Rehoming Register is to find secure and loving homes for unwanted and neglected pet rats. The register covers the whole of the UK, and hopes to find people who would like to give these rats a new chance at life. Many of the registered rats are well loved family pets whose owner, for whatever reason, can no longer care for them. Unplanned and unwanted litters may also be listed for rehoming, whilst the majority of the rats are adults. Some of these rats have special needs. They may have health problems or behavioral problems, and require experienced owners to give them the best chance at a happy life. The Rat Rehoming Register will do everything it can to ensure that all of these details are revealed to prospective new owners, but cannot be responsible for any untruths or omissions by the parties requesting rehoming. It is imperative that we all be honest. Take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions, which explain all the procedures. The Rats for Rehoming page is updated regularly, and if you do not see any rats for rehoming in your area - please keep checking. A new section has been added for other small rodents, on a trial basis. This includes rabbits.
