Pictured below is another LOOK envelope variety bearing the phosphorescent-tagged 3¢ coil, postmarked February 7, 1967. This envelope was used to send an offer to a potential new subscriber. Photographed under shortwave ultraviolet light to show the yellow-green glow of the tagging.

According to extensive research by Ken Lawrence and Wayne Youngblood, six full envelopes mailed by LOOK magazine bearing the 3¢ tagged coil with a Des Moines origination postmark have been reported. The earliest documented use is a full cover postmarked December 29, 1966. The other cancel dates are Jan. 19, 1967, April 21, 1967, and May 8, 1967 (However, the whereabouts of these three are unknown and have not been seen in over 35 years).

Tagged 3¢ coil on LOOK magazine uncanceled return reply cover, franked at the 5¢ /oz. first-class letter rate. These envelopes were placed inside solicitation mailings to encourage a greater return rate. Four examples reported.
