Mystic colors blazed
Blinding the world blind.
All the earth was dazed
When the spirits danced.

Wisdom shed her light
On the open soul,
Then She fathomed right
All life's mysteries.

Now comes the Divine
Illumination.
Behold the sacred sign-
Light graced the earth.

She did wield Divine Light
Heaven filled her heart,
Mother of the night
Great Queen of bright day.

Angels gathered round,
Hedged the Holy Child
And fell to the ground
All Satan's fierce darts.

Universal being,
All things great and small,
Are there for the seeing
In the human heart.

Before the Divine,
The Infinite One,
Yes, every mind
Speaks one language.

THEOTOKOS

she is a smouldering fire in an earthern vessel
a blazing flame of liquid heat
a holy virgin of fury and fiercness
bound together by nothing mild and meek

she is the conquering lady of justice
pounding down the heights
pulling down the dams of oppression
with no concern for mercy but for what's right

she is the strongest of human lives
a saint whose vision is further than any man's
a sage whose power has no doubt
her purpose is clear, to be God's Hand

she is just a girl of only a few years,
maybe twice seven
but she is just become the Mother of God,
the Queen of Heaven.

You know what! I'm going to stop resisting being an Oxymoron and start celebrating it.

Am I an Oxymoron? You betcha little booties I am!

I am a doubting believer....a gentle warrior....a laughing mourner....a spiritual body....a "straight" "queer"....a liberal conservative....an adult child....a weeping celebrant....an honored outcast....a human animal....a true fiction....a sincere hypocrite....an unconscious consciousness....a real fantasy....and a Christian Witch!

I am a nothing that is something....who hears sounds in silence....sees mystery in the common....embraces the sacred in the mundane....and finds wisdom in fools.

I follow an Oxymoron who said that the first are last...that the cursed are blessed....that dying is how one finds life....and the greatest of all is the slave of all.

The Oxymoron who called power weakness and riches poverty and glory shameful, and who called weakness power and poverty riches and shame glorious. The Oxymoron who said all the Kingdom of Heaven is smaller than a mustard seed. The Oxymoron who put "sinners" before "saints" and beggars before kings. The Oxymoron whose crown was thorns, whose throne was a cross, and whose greatest victory was the greatest tragedy of all time, the One who wins by losing, the One who fills by emptying, the GOD who is HUMAN. The Oxymoron. The Paradox. The Mystery. The Contradiction. The Dialectic. The Oxymoron.

Yes....call me an Oxymoron...put me in the camp outside the city with all the Sages and all the Shamans and all who have stood between worlds. I am a Christian. I am a Witch. If that doesn't make sense to you....its not supposed to....no more than the sound of one hand clapping makes sense....or that the journey is the destination....or that the question is its own answer....for I am a living koan and I seek only to become who I have always been.

And you will only understand when you cease trying to understand. You will only grasp when you open your hand. And you will only hold on when you let go.

Maiden, Mother, and Crone
By Paul T. Howard

The lone weary traveler
Finds the circle where he rests
There he meets the three ladies
The Maiden, Mother, and Crone

The Maiden greets with kisses
The Mother with tender hugs
The Crone with gentle wisdom
All three with comfort and love

The Maiden removes his clothes
Smiles lusty as she does
The Mother she does wash them
The Crone folds them up with love

The ladies dance about him
They lead him thus to the stream
Together they do bathe him
In waters ere unseen

The Maiden cleans his body
Laughing like gentle rain
Joyfully tends his body
Easing his aches and pains

The Mother with love and care
Tenderly cleanses his soul
Casting away doubt and fear
Making him now fully whole

The Crone wipes webs from his mind
Clears it of half truth and lies
Preparing it for wisdom
Not the ignorance despised

Now do all three lie with him
In all three he doth delight
Their passion, love, and wisdom
Sustain him all through the night

The Maiden shares her body
Teaching passion and of joy
Her touch, her kiss, and soft flesh
Make him eager as a boy

The Mother shares of her love
In a tender, warm embrace
He suckles life from her breast
In her arms he finds his rest

The Crone shares of her wisdom
Of all the things that are true
From her he learns thus to judge
What he should and should not do

The Maiden is his lover
The Mother, she is his wife
The Crone is his wise mother
They are with him all his life

For now he is The Horned One
The lover, husband, and son
The favored chosen consort
Of the three who are the one

Oh how he loves The Goddess
He seeks her every day
Lusting, loving, and knowing
In every single way

The sky is a cloudly gray,
yet no rain falls to the ground.
The wheel turns,
but the cloth is still slack.
If you listen to the Wind,
you will hear it;
a baby's first cries.

The clouds get thicker,
a light drizzle begins.
The wheel turns,
The cloth is pulled taught.
If you listen to the Wind,
you will hear it;
a young woman cries.

Clouds obscure the sky,
heavy droplets pelt the ground.
The wheel turns,
the cloth begins to fray.
If you listen to the Wind,
you will hear it;
a new mother cries.

The clouds are an inky black,
thunder and lightning join the rain.
The wheel turns,
the cloth rips in half.
If you listen to the Wind,
you will know it;
and old woman dies.

-Note from Rawna Moon, Web Mistress-

One of the first Christian Witches to post in the Brew was a good friend of mine, SeaZepher, who at the time was in a spiritual journey from Paganism to orthodox Roman Catholicism. Being a Christian Witch was only a stage in this journey, and during that time he posted a Christian Witch creed that reflected his spirituality at that time, which was at this point in the Brew. Now that SeaZepher has found his home in the Catholic Church he no longers considers himself a Christian Witch. So we together decided to remove his post from this page since it no longer reflects his spirituality. He still values and supports all of us and wishes us peace. We do the same for him! Bless you, SeaZepher!

My Sister

From the East, She watches over me,
in the darkness on the streets of Boulder.

From the heights of the Flatirons at midday,
I look up to the West, and She is there.

I dance in Her bright light with my arms outstretched
during the wedding party in the plains.

At the airport, in the mad rush to board my plane,
I look up, She is there. All is well.

I look out the window of the plane and She is there...
Beautiful, Smiling, Shining, Illuminating me
from within and without.

When I was a child, I thought She was following me,
now I know She is. She follows me Home,
and She follows me on my adventures...

Her soft, cool light penetrates my very being,
gently enlightening my inner darkness,
increasing my awareness, informing my knowing.

Her rhythms are my rhythms;
we are infinitely and intimately connected.
She connects me to all my other Sisters,
and all is well.

Remember

Oh woman, remember. Remember who you are.
Maiden woman, Virgin Queen, wide-eyed, open, new.
Initiate, unclaimed potential, untested innocence are you.
Receptive to the world, and receptive to your call,
belonging to yourself alone, you do not give yourself away.
You take the seed and trust it's real, it settles into you.
You enter darkness with the seed; you are one,
awaiting growth and transformation.

Oh woman, remember. Remember who you are.
Mother woman, Black Madonna, fierce, protective Mother Bear.
Pregnancy is such a long wait, what will you birth this time?
Birthing Divine from Divine, nourished in your womb-tomb.
From death to life and back again is your song, ascending, descending.
And new life is so painful, the labor's long and hard
transition feels like death until the new life emerges.
You protect it with your life, you become the Spiritual Warrior.

Oh woman, remember. Remember who you are.
Ancient Woman, Wise One, Woman of Courage, She Who Dwells Within.
You are Kali, dancing ecstatically on the body of your dead lover.
Ancient Wisdom, knowing, living once again unto your Self.
Risk taker, grounded in Self-love, pouring forth
experience and wisdom from your cauldron of love.
From your cauldron, you feed the world.
From your wisdom, you call others to the journey.

Oh woman, remember. Remember who you are.

Based on a lecture by a Dominican theologian, there are several concepts relevant to "witchcraft" and Christianity -- relevant indeed to cosmology.

There are three very real dimensions: natural, preternatural, and supernatural--

The "natural" dimension is the one in which we exist on a daily basis.

The "supernatural" dimension is the one that is above the natural, it is the transcending dimension of the Father. Biblical warnings to limit ourselves to a natural-supernatural relationship, one wherein we deal directly with the Holy Trinity.

The third dimension, the "preternatural" one, is besides reality. It is in this realm that spirits, demons, powers both good and bad, exist. The nowadays rarely voiced truth is that spirits and demons, and various powers do exist; that many of the forces, of the gods (lower case), worshipped by so-called ancients or pagans do exist; that the First Commandment is to not make the error of worshipping lesser gods or powers, but to worship He who made all things. In the Credo we acknowledge the creation of the visible and the invisible, and in catechism classes the invisible is interpreted as the angels; but there is in truth far more than just angels in the "invisible".

The danger of the preternatural is that when we access it we open a door, and doors are two way streets. The uninitiated, the undereducated, those willing to take undue risks, can open the door and let in forces that will take them over, or permit evil forces into the world. Only the initiated, using proper controls and techniques from time immemorial, should open that door, and then only carefully. But especially because the preternatural world houses both good and evil, there are times when much knowledge or wisdom may be gained through access to the preternatural. The sorcerer's apprectice may indeed cause many problems.

*******************

Another concept which is rarely discussed nowadays: good versus evil, black or gothic witchcraft vs. white whitchcraft. It is unfortunate that both use the word "witchcraft", when one serves the good, the Almighty God, while the other serves evil, or Satan. The biblical injunction is against black witchcraft.

The highest white witchcraft ceremony was the ancient High Mass, properly chanted (the harnessing of universal harmonics). For that reason, the Black Mass involves the desecration of every part of the White Mass; the two masses are the antithesis one of the other. Transubstantiation involves the ultimate ritual in the service of good or of God.

There are, of course, forms of esoteric magick, or witchcraft, which substantially predate Christianity.

Greetings:

I was delighted to find this site as many months ago I led a debate about the possibility of Christian Witches on the Wiccan Pagan Bulletin Boards of Prodigy in the Religion Two section. Not only were many Christians horrified, but also many orthodox Pagans were as well, denying the possibility of Christian Witches. While I am not a Christian Witch, I am a Christian Ceremonial Magician and certainly applaud all the information shared on this website. Over the years I have found my path which is one that practices ceremonial magick, christian magick, angel magick, use of the psalms, sacramentals such as holy water and incense, and the creation of talismans and much more. For me the key essence and credo of being a Christian practitioner go to 1John4:7-8 God is Love, and Judge Not Matthew 7.

Many mainline orthodox Christians seem to have lost touch with early Christianity and the concept of angels, and saints, and for them the Magi are only a myth celebrated on Christmas. I am a college psychology professor, minister , pastoral counselor and knight of the Healing, Teaching, and Chivalric Order of St. Raphael, an international order based in England. My path as a healer through pastoral counseling, as one who teaches through being a professor, and as knight is facilitated by this special spirituality which includes magic.

There is a history of Christian magical practitioners ranging from many of the Catholic Clergy who practiced angel magic before it's ban in the 1300s by Pope John XXII, with Pope Sylvester II and Gregory VII being reputed practitioners. There is a long list of Christian practitioners if one only takes the time to study history. We have a long history and I commend all those who take this path, and as it says somewhere in scripture and here I paraphrase: It is better the true seeker than the hypocrite.

I would like to invite all practitioners to join me in an occult forum that welcomes not only witches, ceremonial magicians, druids, astrologers, psychics, etc, but is also friendly to those of us on a path where we are many times bashed by both Pagans and Christians. You may reach me or look at the forum at The Phoenix Rising Occult Forum Email List.(http://members.xoom.com/Aphrattos/index.html) I am listed there under founding listowners. I look forward to hearing from all you courageous people. Many blessings on the path you must travel. Cordially: Dr. A. Fox D.D., K.S.R.

Cold and ice on the wind.

Moon,

I look upon
Thee and submit myself to
Thee.

Moon,

Let my mind join Thee and

Queen of Light,

The following is my way of calling on the Elementals before doing a ritual. They are not gods or goddess, but in a very real sense, my brothers and sisters. I, like they, were created by the Will and Design of God. Thus do I hold them up in honour.

East: Sister Air, blow upon me with your breath and purity, for such was given from God to Adam.

South: Brother Fire, you who burn and give light and warmth, help purify me for the work.

West: Sister Water, you sustain life and cause it to flourish through your Maker. Lend your strength to me.

North: Mother Earth, from you I was taken and to you will I return again. It pleased God to use your dust to create the first man and the body of the Second Adam. Within you was buried the body of our Blessed Lord, and from you He was raised. Give me of your strength and stability during this work.

The Fifth Element: To the Spirit I give thanks, to God who created all things, and to the Only Son, through which we are redeemed, both those who believe and all of nature which groans until the Day of His appearing.

To all: Grant that my work may be done for the benefit of others, and directed to a successful end. So let it be.

"The fairy story may be made a vehicle of Mystery. That at least is what George MacDonald attempted, achieving stories of power and beauty when he succeeded" J R R Tolkien.

Even though he lived in the previous century, I own George MacDonald as my spiritual mentor. His writing helped me to shake off the fear which many a mis-guided fundamentalist preacher had inculcated. And his stories opened up a bright world where magic was afoot. My Creed

I believe in the One, the great universal divine which is both immanent, because it is a part of not only ourselves, but of all things, and transcendent, because the greater whole of it forms an outer gestalt, of which we can view but glimpses.

I believe that the One is understood in many different ways by different people and groups. By the Abrahamic faiths as God, by Wicca as the Goddess and the God, and so forth. No one view is superior to any other, though different views can and do offer different insights into the divine.

I believe in both the historic Jesus, the great Jewish Rabbi who¹s message of love and peace still speaks to us through the ages, and the mythic Christ, God made manifest in the flesh, born of a human mother, fully human and fully divine, who¹s death and resurrection redeems humanity and metaphorically illustrates the full extent of divine love and compassion.

I believe in the power of both magick and prayer as tools by which we both evoke the divine energy within ourselves, and invoke the power of the outer divine as well. I believe that both magick and ritual are important tools in examining and exploring both the inner and the outer divine.

I believe that magick is a tool as any other. It can be used to construct or destroy, to harm or to heal. How this tool is applied is subject to our will, just as how we choose to accept the consequences of our choices and decisions is also a matter of choice.

I believe that just as it is possible to strengthen and heal ourselves metaphorically, if not literally, and just as it is possible move closer towards the One, so too is it possible to weaken and harm ourselves. As we are all connected, that which we do unto others so do we also unto ourselves. Acting in a negative manner towards ourselves or others ultimately serves to separate us from the universal divine. This is the nature of sin; that which harms ourselves, harms others, and separates us from the divine. Hell, therefore, is a state of utter separation from the divine.

I believe that as we are ultimately one, therefore are we collectively stronger when we exist and work in a state of accord and harmony with one another. To this end, that which we do which serves or aids others ultimately serves and aids ourselves, and moves us into greater harmony with the One. Heaven, therefore, is a state of utter interconnectedness with the divine to the point where we are fully aware of ourselves as part of the greater whole, and perceive no barriers whatsoever between us.

These things I believe.

For admittedly selfish reasons,
I chose a God who ate in the home of a tax collector and chose a tax collector as a disciple,
who was born of an unwed Gallilean teenager (Mary was technically unwed until she had sex with her husband),
who worked miracles for the soldiers of the army that occupied his homeland,
who shared water with a Samaritan woman with five husbands.
I chose a God who prayed feverishly for his own body at Gesthemene and yet stayed the hands of those who would have defended him against arrest.
I chose a God who forgave his executioners as he hung dying from one of the nastiest forms of capital punishment invented by humanity.
I chose him on the faint ray of hope that if he could forgive these people, he could forgive me.

I believe in God, the Father. I believe in his son. I belive in the Holy Spirit. I believe that God is benevolent and wants all of his creatures to be happy. I believe that God is the creator of good and evil, that both the light and dark of the world is of him. I believe that God and all other deities of the world are one and the same. He comes to us in many forms. I worship him through prayer and action. I seek to use his energy for only good. I wish to use use magic and the energy of the world for healing of the mind, body, and soul, and for Protection. I believe in the Redde, "Do as thou will, yet harm none" Blessed Be in God's Name

"The Warrior's Cause"

The Cause is the Light.
The Conqueror is the Creator.
The Adversary is the Darkness.
The War is the Eternities.
The Battle is the World.
The Test is our Lives.
The Victory is the Light.

Will you embrace the Cause?
Will you embrace the Conqueror?
Will you shun the Adversary?
Will you fight the War?
Will you win the Battle?
Will you pass the Test?
Will you be Victorious?

"I will," you once said.
"I will," to all of the questions I asked of you, save one.
One thing you could not do.
The one thing the mission was for.

I planned.
I created.
I prepared.
I sacrificed.
I found you worthy.
I sent you.

You embraced the Cause.
You embraced the Conqueror.
You shunned the Adversary.
You fought the War.
You won the Battle.
You passed the Test.

For this I gave you Victory.
For this will you continue.
For this will others follow.
For this did I die.

I am a cauldron
full of sweetness,
bitterness,
sourness,
and salt
all tasted at once
burning the tongue
and scalding the lips
inside my burning body
it transforms me into
Boiling Fire.
Metamorphosis --
no longer the butterfly,
but the wasp.
Stinging peace
with my lips
I sleep.

I must drink
to wretch again

PentaGRAM

Some of you see
the star in my hand.
And fewer still,
the old man's mask
that I wear.

Some I have
met in dreams.
And fewer still
outside
the tightly woven seams.

So this is my telegram-
Where ever you may be.
We need not hide anymore.
At hand,
VICTORY!

There is among us,
He,
who will lead us to
our destiny!

And so the whisper
sweeps,
clear over land
Thy silence keep!
Victory is at hand.

Remember,
everyone will hear,
we need not interfere!
The whisper will speak up
to those who can not hear!

In this is
we are sure.
There is nothing to fear!

Boxes

I want to jump into the debate about people being in boxes catergorized by beliefs and that the faith system of Wicca and the faith system of Christianity are logically incompatible so someone couldn't be in both boxes at the same time. I tried to write this once before and just before my very long, beautiful, simply a pearl of wisdom post was posted my aol crashed and I lost it all.

>enormous sign<

I would like to go just ahead and concede that the two faith systems are logically incompatible and see where that leads. (I don't believe they necessarily are, I'm just conceding this for argument's sake.)

Let's concede that the root beliefs of Wicca are logically incompatible with the root beliefs of Christianity. Let's concede that these two core elements are as inconsistent as "A" and "Not A". Let's concede that according to every bit of logic we've gotten from good old Aristotle that to assert both "A" and "Not A" is just nonsense, idiocy, totally illogical and completely irrational. That for anyone to affirm both "A" and "Not A" at the same time is schizoid and means the person affirming both suffers from a serious case of cognitive dissonance.

Guess what? Lots of people's religious faith systems on this planet are irrational! It's a very Greek way of thinking to think all thinking must be rational. In Eastern Asia this concern for religion being logical like this just doesn't exist. So what if religious Confucianism is a completely this worldly, earth affirming, human structures elevating, Gods and ancestors are real beings needing to be considered type of religion totally incompatible, from a Western logical perspective, with Buddhism that is a completely unworldly, earth denying, human structures disdaining, Gods and ancestors are part of the great illusion and deception to be escaped from type of religion? Billions of Chinese are and have been both faiths at once. Instead of seeing the logical incompatibilities as evidence that one must pick one of the other, they saw that as a good reason one probably embrace them both.

I just don't find it that strange that somebody might exist in both the boxes of Wicca and Christianity at the same time, completely sincerely affirming both sets of core beliefs and elements, even if some of the rest of us rationally conclude those core beliefs are incompatible and one couldn't REALLY believe both.

What do you say to someone who says with a shrug of shoulders, "But I *do*!?

What do we say? "How can you? They don't fit together? How can you believe "A" and "NOT A" at the same time, it doesn't make sense. You can't really do that."

Another shrug of shoulders, "I don't know. I just know I do."

"But it just doesn't make sense. You have to be one of the other. Either its 'A' or it's 'Not A', it can't be both 'A' and 'Not A' at the same time. That's absurd."

The shrug won't go away, "I don't know what to say. I can't explain it to you. It just is for me. They are both true for me and I can't explain to you why it seems that way to me because whatever I say about it is nonsense for you."

Shaking head in disbelief and disgust, "So 'A' is 'Not A'?"

Meekly and chagrined, "Yes, for me."

SPELL FOR BEING ABLE TO FORGIVE

This was concocted this evening as part of a process of trying to make mediation therapy with my ex into a religious exercise, since it wasn't going well any other way. In that light:

Take a large challice or small cauldron and fill with salt water. Sea salt is ideal. Add one drop of blood and stir well. If you have a tough time stabbing yourself, meditate on the crucifixion. The crown of thorns is what got me and now that I think about it, the symbolism makes sense. Set this in the center of your altar and light one candle.

On slips of paper in a water-soluble ink, write down anything you can think of that you know you should forgive but can't. Make them big sins and small; doesn't matter. Write down the truly heinous stuff that still fries your tail every time you think about it. With the slips in your hand, recite either the Lord's Prayer or the BCP's Confession three times. Drop each slip into the water, reciting or paraphrasing what you have written. Then go to Luke 6:27-38 and recite this thirteen times. (Actually, I set a timer for 15 minutes just before I started the Confession, which saved me the distraction of counting.) When you finish say:

God, help me remember that justice is yours
And yours alone.
Help me remember that you are father and mother to those who injured me,
Just as you are father and mother to me,
And that only you know the full measure of their souls.
Help me see them as you see them:
Through the eyes of a mother who nurses them at her breast,
Through the eyes of a father who lays them on his breast to sleep.
Help me forgive them
As you forgive them
As you forgive me.

Release me from my pride
My hurts
My fears
My (add weakness of your choice here)
And help me recieve all the love and blessings you have for me.

Let my eyes see only your face
My ears hear only your voice
And my tongue speak only your words.

Or words to that effect.

Repeat as necessary.

I fully expect to be running this one indefinitly.

Ritual of Protection
[...]
And suddenly Earth herself gave me this ritual.
A sort of quickspell, to use in case of emergency with no ritual objects.

Mother,

Earth, be on my legs and on my muscles
(I saw my legs made of earth&rock, like bricks)
    Fire, protect my body
     (a shield of fire)
    Air, refresh my energies
     (a wave of wind)
    Water, purify my tought,
     (the sound of the sea)
    Spirit, over all
     (The Spirit above my body)
Then I saw a 5 point star inside a circle
     2 on my legs
     1 on my forehead
     1 on my chest
So I traced the stars.

This is my Christian Creed.

I believe in God the father, almighty maker of heaven, and maker of earth, and in Jesus Christ his only begotten son, our Lord. He was Concieved by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, he was Crucified and dead and buried. I believe that he who suffered was crucified buried, and dead. He descened into hell and on the third day rose again. He ascended into heaven where he sits at God's mighty Right hand. And I believe that he's returning to Judge the dead and the sons of man. I believe in the Holy spirit, one Holy Church, and the communion of saints, and the forgiveness of sins, I believe in the resurrection, I believe in a life that never ends, And I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am, I did not make it, no it is making me, it is the very truth of God, not the invention of any man.

I noticed an interesting trend here. Most of the Christian Witches (Although, that DOES sound a bit Vulgar, how about Logocentric Mages? Logocentric meaning "word centered" with the WORD being Christ as in John 1:1, SO Christ centered MAgicians.) are from a Roman Catholic, or Derived Roman Catholic background. But anyhow, I am not really what you would call a Christian witch. I believe all of the above. If spells are really just "prayers with props" Then I would say, I believe in spellwork. I do things such as Writing down all the things I hate, all my sins I detest on a piece of paper then ask GOd to remove them as far as the east is from the west, and then burn the paper and scatter the ashes to the wind. If THAT is spellwork, I am a Logocentric Magician. So, what do you all think? Am I or am I not a "Christian Witch?" I do not want to open any doors here for demonic influence. ALl I know is this. Satan Corrupts, he does not think of anything new. IF witchcraft (satanic and paganistic witchcraft)is a "polluted art" does this not imply that something pure came before? It is this former purity which I am in search of for the further Glory of God. I do not know if it is this or not, it is too controversial. But I am giving it thought. Incidentally, I am a non-denomination, Traditional, "dogmatic wicked fundamentalistic" Christian. :) Luther if you prefer. Anyway, thanks for putting up with this ranting.

HONEST QUESTIONS.

I have an honest question. I am NOT gonna condemn ANYONE of anything. I don't believe I have. If I have, please forgive me. But I have this question: GOD is the one who decides WHEN we recieve his power. Can he really be open for access WHENEVER WE WANT? Doesn't that seem to cheapen WHO HE IS?

Take up your cross and follow me
wherever I may lead
Your back will ache, your feet grow tired,
and yes your heart will bleed.
But we shall walk together,
And I share your lot,
For I am always with you
And I will forget you not.

Take up your cross and follow me
And I will fill your days
With joy that only I can give
In many precious ways
So learn to know me better
For there are many miles to go
And rest your head upon my heart...
For I have loved you so

The light grows dim, the dust descends,
The sunlight turns to shade,
I give my angels charge of you,
so do not be afraid
But trust in me and do not grieve
For what has come and gone
I will provide for all your needs
...For you are my own

My yoke is sweet, my burden light
No matter where you roam
Remember earth will pass away
but heaven is your home
How brief a time a man walks
Upon this earthly sod
So love me as I first loved you
...ANd know that I am God.

At first you feel inside,
That all you can do is hide,
Run away from it all,
The price to pay is small,

You feel so alone,
Even in your home,
With family and friends about,
Always wanting a way out,

You're Christian yet you see,
That inside there's more to be,
You have a longing so deep,
But you know it's one you can't keep,

You want to be good,
And you know you're understood,
But you want more than this,
A magic that strikes bliss,

Now you've found your way,
It doesn't matter what other's say,
You're being good to God,
And getting what you want.

I fear potential night.

Dear God, I do not know what to make of this.

I love the benefiets that go to your service, yet fear the potential misuse. Please, fill me with your Holy Spirit, the one who guides us and comforts us. Show me the truth, I only wish to serve you. IF this be truth, let it resound and let me rejoice. If it is not truth, keep me far from it. Dear Jesus, please reveal to me the right path to walk. In you is found all hope, All Joy, all, peace, all strength, all reassurance, All hope. I praise you Lord. I know ultimately everything will work out for your glory in the end.

Amen. ?†? (from everlasting, to everlasting, Christ IS.)

Goddess Luna

Goddess Luna, shining so bright,
Shining down on us tonight.

What stories do you have to tell?
Your light's entrancing, like a spell.

Goddess Luna, ever so bright,
Your beauty is more than just a sight.

For ages you've been neglected,
No longer are you to be rejected.

Goddess Luna, shining so bright,
There are those of us, who welcome your light.

War and hate can no longer prevail,
As long as we believe your love and light will never fail.

Thought for the day:

Religion is a lot like sex. If you're doing it, (At least if you're doing it right.) it's a deeply moving, spiritual, and ecstatic experience. However, to anyone just watching, you most likely look, act, and sound like a complete idiot.

I notice something interesting. The Christian witches here have ALOT more wiccan leanings than Christian. Why is that? There is more wiccan influence than Christian, if you claim to be both, shouldn't you have Both influence you equally? Just wondering.

"Ariadne"

My life is but a weaving
My Goddess' tapestry.
I let Her choose the colours.
She worketh steadily.
Oftimes She worketh sorrow
And I, within my heart,
Forget She sees the pattern
While I see only part.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As threads of gold and silver
In the pattern She has planned.
Not til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall She unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

With thoughtless and impatient hands
We tangle up the plans
That She has wrought
And when we cry in pain She says,
"Be quiet, child, while I
untie the knot."

Is not the Trinity an intimate, ecstatic, and permanent union between two persons which generates a third person? Is not therefore married love an excellent metaphor and indeed a reflection of the most inner and personal activity of the deity?

JESUS WAS TIGHT WITH THE GODESS

Merry Meet and God/ess Bless! Well finally I have found a site that I can go to! I am A Christian Witch( or Witchy Christian) and worship the God and Godess. I see the God through Jesus, his death and rebirth and his love for all. I see the Godess through Mary Magdaline, who in her time was not a prostitute but a pristess who ran a temple to the Godess. Magdaline was her title, similar to High Pristess, and taught the girls of rich famillies how to live without a man influence and help. The Jewish Prist did not like this and so blackmailed her for adultry as an excuse to kill her for worshiping the Godess. But then Jesus steps in and saved her life and Mary then began to hang out with Jesus. So I take that Jesus was tight with the fact Mary worshiped the Godess and never condemmed her about it. So this is why I became a Christian Witch ( Witchy Christian, take your pick!)because Jesus seemed all right with Goddess Worship. All this is true. Teen Witch and To Ride a Silver Broomstick( written by Silver Ravenwolf) has given me this info and now I know I am not going to Hell( Take that you Fundamentalist Christians!) and that the J.C. was tight with the Goddess!!!

Merry Part and God/ess Bless!!

-Note from Rawna Moon, Web Mistress-

The following addition to the Brew is from a long post by a woman who tells us she is not a Christian Witch. The original addition was more appropriate to a guestbook or message board than to this Brew of thoughts of Christian Witches. It included large amounts of criticism of the paths of Pagans and of Christian Witches. Since she did not leave a mailing address I had to make a decision as the Web Mistress about what to do without being able to consult with her. It bothers me to limit the free expression of anyone, but I am committed to this not being a place where anyone's path is criticized.

I decided, therefore, to edit it heavily but keep the original post in my records. Anyone interested in reading the original post may email me at RawnaMoon@aol.com for a copy of it.

Bright Blessings in Christ

I'm amazed as I read this site.

First, I'm not a pagan, I'm not Wiccan, I'm not a witch, I'm not wittan, or any other term that may be used to describe such belief system. I'm Christian through and through. *However*--- big *however*, LOL--- I'm a Christian who has had many, many "psychic" experiences and has a deep connection to nature and the beauty of this earth. I ***worship*** God, The Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ... and I do believe, with all my heart, that Christianity is *the only salvation.* But that doesn't mean I think the rest of the world is going to hell in a handbasket, as the old saying goes.

I have believed many of the things that I'm reading here on this website for quite a long time. Not everything, but a lot of it. And as I read, what astounds me--- and frankly, has moved me to tears--- is the fact that there are so many truly genuine, truly committed followers of Jesus Christ here who are actually ***SAYING***---- and saying ***with pride***---- that they believe in Jesus and accept him as their Savior, and that this is a priority in their lives.

[editing out of criticism of Paganism & ex-Catholics]

Coming here to this site, what has impressed me is that the people at this site (unless I'm totally missing the point) have NOT rejected God... you have not rejected your Christian faith; you simply have added elements from wiccanism.

It makes me happy to see that, because even though I personally don't understand why you'd *need* to do the wiccan thing in order to feel spiritually connected and fulfilled, I do have respect for the fact that you have not abandoned your faith because of simple human desire to experience something like paganism. I respect the fact that you are standing up and saying, "Yes, I do these things, but I'm a Christian and I believe these things fully." Perhaps others will see that there *is* a way to be a Christian, even if your family of origin taught you that God was condemning and cruel, and even if you experienced loneliness in a church that didn't embrace you or fill your spiritual needs as a Christian celebrant.

[editing out of criticism of Witchcraft & the Occult]

I respect the people here at this website SO MUCH because you're doing something that I haven't seen in any other pagan websites. You're not just leaning on the teachings of mankind. You're looking into your souls, and seeing the holy spirit given to you by God. Yes, you're finding something within wicca that attracts you... but my instinct tells me that you're Christians who love nature and ceremony rather than Wiccans who love Christ. Then again, I could be totally wrong. All I know is that as long as you are around, wiccans and other seekers will be able to discover that when you're searching for the fulfillment of the soul, you don't have to reject God to do it. In fact, God wants to help us on the path. We just have to listen, and learn how to separate and distinguish between the voice of God as heard in our prayers and the voice of our own questioning.

May all your travels lead you toward the joy and fulfillment that you desire, and may God bless your search.

The Necklace

I knew a woman who worked in a store.
She was always getting headaches.
I healed her with my hands once.
I gave her a special necklace to wear.
I stopped in the store one day.
She said the necklace fell apart.
I said I would fix it and bring it back.
It was done with great love within.
A month later it happened again.
I found out the reason why.
She was volunteering for her Catholic church.
They used and abused her in every way.
The necklace could not take their negativity.
They tried to take total control over her life.
They told her what she could and could not do.
They made her quit the store
So she could spend more time with them.

If that is spirituality or love.
It would not be for me.
I would not treat an enemy that way.
A woman with a good heart,
Wanting to help her church,
But destroyed by the ones she loved.

I would say that is pretty sad.
I heard many of the same stories.

"Circle of Life"

I woke up to the sound of Reality
beating on my door
I felt my whole soul shake
I fell to the floor
I looked up and asked the heavens
Why must life end?
Shouldn't love last forever?
Doesn't every heart mend?
I heard the answer, distant
Rolling thunder 'cross the sky
I felt my whole soul shake
I had no right to ask why
I looked up as replied the Heavens
Cool rain kissed my face
I felt the circle was the answer
I knew that living was by Grace
And as the Heavens opened up
In my heart it was raining
So I might learn to love the sun
When the clouds are dissipating
I remember younger parts of life
When I was lonely, when I was poor
I felt my whole soul shake
Heard every teardrop hit the floor
I looked up, bitterly accused the Heavens
Of not giving me a fair fight
Jutted a perfect chin into the air
Drank fiercely throught the night
Woke up in a dirty bed
Heard fighting throught the door
Picked myself up, held my throbbing head
Shuffled blindly across the floor
Looked up and saw filthy babes in rags
Reflected in a fortune-teller's ball
I felt my whole soul shake
Thought I had seen it all
So again I asked the Heavens
Why must people suffer pain?
Isn't Love always the answer?
Don't we all deserve the same?
The answer came so quickly
With the fury of Winter's Wind
Tore open my cold heart
Burned my lips, froze my skin
'Till I ran for the warmth of the fire
That burns pure from the light within
And I returned to the Love that is
the hope of this world
The Beginning, the Now, and the End

Oh what tangled webs we weave and strange stews we cook to know the true road we're supposed to be on! Then again,if we don't know what sour milk smells like, when will we know the milk needs to be thrown away?

All glory laud and honor be to THEE Jesus Christ, Son of the Great I Am, for waving a jug around to see if I'd want to have something to drink only to have me smell the sour milk so I could throw it away. And to think it took Silver Ravenwolf's Teen Witch Kit to draw me closer to you, O GREAT I AM!

As I stir my mighty cauldron, I remember the prophets of old. Most thought that they weren't right for the job. However, they did your bidding and you handsomely rewarded them for it.

Lord Jesus, You shook me and took me on a "reminder" of Your most wonderful works. I smelled your cloak. I felt my head on Your shoulder. The very hands you used to shake me awake you used to stroke my back and dry my tear-stained cheeks assuring me You'd NEVER leave me.

They who see you and are talked to are usually appointed as prophets. I gladly accept this only as I know that this extra duty comes from THE GREAT I AM HIMSELF. Guide Rawna, Uncle Wolf, and Kilrpoodle into making sure that what they teach me is what you'd be wanting them to teach me.

Blessings,

Joie

Credo For A Christian Witch

I believe in the great I AM, Creator of heaven and earth, protector of humankind, and the final say-so as to who lives with Him in heaven or is cast down into hell! God is neither man nor woman, God is an eternally loving Spirit who's slow to anger and judgement. Though the pronoun used may be "He", it's a rememberance of universality.

I believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God and the advocate to the people. No weapons are pointed into the bodies of the nonbelievers to get them to believe. The belief comes from within and it's a decision made by us. Once it's made, however, we must remember that this was a decision we chose to make on our own free will. No one made us declare Jesus Son of God and God as the One we worship.

I believe in the Holy Spirit. The eternal reminder that Jesus is forever with us though He may not be here in mortal flesh. It's a reminder that God's everlasting love will forever be near us and His arrival to help us will be swift, immediate, and longlasting!

All honor and glory be to Thee, Yahweh!
So it is written
So mote it be done

NEW DREAMS

I was just sittin'
readin'
When Coyote comes up to me
this scrawny, dust-covered
tiny excuse for a wolf
who wears a grin the size of California
and whose eyes contain the galaxy

Coyote says to me
"Girl, get off yo' behin'!
We got work to do!"

What?

"C'mon! You, me,
Miss Sophia an' her friend
Merry Mary Magdalene
Got to go, you know, do stuff!"

Stuff. Jesus Chri--
"Him too, Him 'n'his Mom
and whole holy family
gonna be there-- course, they're here too--
waitin' for you
so come on!"

What stuff, and why me?
But Coyote only grins.
"Quit acting like you don't know me
and you know darn well why you
why everyone."

This can't be happening.
"And why not? Why can't ole Coyote
come to a nice lil Catholic gal like yerself?
Prefer one o' them angels, huh?
I know yer tight with them, but
time you broadened yer horizons. Dig?"

Coyote talking to me in slang. What next?

"I know about that whole priesthood thing, sweetheart.
I know. But it's time for a new dream,
a thing for which the old dream was only introduction.
The whole world needs a new dream.
Time for you to take your place.
See, we're both singers, you and I.
And the children of creation need new songs.
They need many teachers of new songs.
Come, let's go find the New Dream
Where Yahweh and Sophia dance
Jesus and the Marys play
and all is reunited into One
the One that is all-encompassing.
C'mon, girl,
we got work to do."

I'm scared. I feel alone.

"S'okay, sweetie. There's others.
You'll find them. Don't worry."

I don't think Coyote has ever been wrong. . .

Exorcism for Friday the 13th LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, God of Abraham;Isaac;and Jacob
I ask of THEE to intervene on this day, Friday the 13th!
May Your unconditional love, forgiveness, and preserverance
"cleanse away the curse" that will eventually arrive this way
Let this day be NOT "a day of curses and bad luck!" but a day of humility.
Another chance to remember to reflect of the day's rights and wrongs; Another chance to renew New Year's resolutions

Let us function in peace and harmony on not only THIS Friday the 13th but ALL of them within the protection and guidance of Thee,Great Yahweh!
Help us end the curse surrounding this day once and for all and let it be looked upon NOT AS A CURSE, but as a "test of faith"
Let it remind us to forgive they we didn't or forgot to forgive,
apologize to and for to they we forgot to apologize to and for
If we forgot to accept an apology in the past or most recent present,
Let us accept it now on this day and let days like this to be loving, supportive, encouraging, willing to apologize and forgive, and to accept the apology and to unconditionally forgive.
These things we ask in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ
AMEN

Hello, My name is Kingslee. I am a Christian-Witch who is going through a lot of changes, being that I am learning about the craft. This change was not an easy one and it is still something that I have to get used to.

When I made the choice to become a Christian-Witch, I was glad I did it, because I was getting bored with the traditional ways of the church. I felt like I was an outsider, that I wasn't "Christian" enough because I didn't "change" when I received the Holy Ghost or when I was baptized. I felt good but I was still the same person, like a renewal of myself.

Now that I am a Christian-Witch, I realize that none of us will ever be "Christian" enough, no matter how hard we try. We are all one in God's eyes.

When I first decided to become a Christian-Witch, I wanted to do it for the right reasons, not the wrong ones. So after learning about the Wiccan culture and really researching it for myself with my best friend, who comes from a family of Witches, I found out that I didn't have to give up my pervious belief system I had learned as a child, that I could still honor and praise the Lord Jesus. I felt like "Yes!" but in the back of my mind I felt like I was serving two Gods instead of just one and that really bothered me a lot. That is something I really didn't want to do.

It was then that I came across this site and it has helped me so much you cannot believe. It answered a lot of hard questions for me. I have now realized that I'm not tearing down my spiritual house, but adding on to it instead. My relationship with God has grown so much and I feel so close to him. Thank you so much for creating this page; it has helped me to say "I am a Christian-Witch with pride."

Love Always,

"Business, law, medicine, these are noble persuits and necessary to sustain life, but poetry, BEAUTY,LOVE,ROMANCE, these are the things we stay alive for."

I was more than inspired when I first heard Robin Williams speak this in "The Dead Poets Society". I think everyone should think about this the next time they get angry at someone, or are tempted to do something wrong, or put material things over there own life. This is what is important, in my opinion anyway.

I look in the mirror
And what do I see.
Tears in my eyes
I can't decide,
Which way to turn.
The left or the right.
To the evil or to the light?
I question this every day.
Tell me God, What should I do.
I beg & plead 4 an answer.
But all I hear is my cries.
An empty hollow sound in the emptiness that is my soul.
Please God what should I do?

My thoughts on being a Mage of the Christian faith:

Brief:
I believe that such "powers" as those that the wicca practice come from our Lord, the creator. For he created all things being. I am proud of being a Chri-Mage (dumb name I know), oh Lord of Lords for in my eyes, you have blessed us with such gifts.

Blessed Be
:) let thou not be hypocritical.

Once Within the Woods

Once within the woods, I saw

The winds flow within my heart and soul
and tears they ran from all my places
like a fountains awaiting to errupt...

and I Saw Her
Her bountiful Earth
and I saw Him
Embraced within the Skies, and Seas
in every rock, in every tree.... Together
Together - Joyfully

and I laid my head down upon her Belly on that green green hill that day, and I found
All that I wanted ever to say
Was found in Her, and His Embrace
The smile still lingers on my face

The world changed the day
a small patch of sunshine
was torn from the sky.
As a result...
a flower withered
someone had to turn on a light
to see their way
a cat lost it's favorite napping spot
a child playing outside shivered and searched for warmth
an old man got out of his rocker and went inside by the fire
an artist had to stop his work because the light was wrong.
The world became a little different because that light was gone.
And yet...
In Heaven a new light danced off of the golden streets and jeweled walls.
A flower bloomed in colors unimaginable
a Man with scarred hands dried tears and healed a world-torn heart
Angels danced and sang rejoicing songs unto their Creator
Saints knelt before the King and gave thanks for the light
The Artist of Creation added a new brushstroke to the canvas of His Kingdom
And Heaven became an ever more joyous place
because that little patch of sunshine, a light dimmed on earth,
is now shining in Heaven.

PRAYER FROM THE UNIVERSAL SOUL

Mother and Father God, hear my prayer........
Send to me your tender love and your powerful care........

enlighten my soul by your universal command,
mould it with unconditional love by your very hands...............

Send to me a Guardian angel pure and strong,
So that I have guidance to endure my whole path long...........

Grant to me inner light which shines from me round about,
Allow my life to become an example for those who live in spiritual doubt....................

Send to me universal power when my arura and I become weak,
Allow me to understand when I encounter those not yet awake...............

You have shown me your grace and shared everything with me,
Even when I am busy and forget to speak your truth freely..............

Oh Mother and Father God, I do give to you my vows,
Without you in my life I know I would be unenlightened and proud...............

I will help those who come, and let your teachings become a new light each day,
So those who are on the wrong path can see the gift of love to me that you gave..........

I will keep each vow as best I can, and enlighten each soul with love, not demand,
For I know through my soul this is what you would have.................

I will remember the innocent blood, and the martyrs, who preservered,
And how the Blood of many brought enlightenment through the tears......................

I will remember unconditional love as you have remembered me,
Oh Mother and Father God, I offer my life as the precious gift you seek................

I will be tolerent with the zealots, and other religions too, no matter how
wrong they believe I am, they will know my soul belongs to you...............

Thank You Mother And Father God And So Mote It Be!

This Prayer Is Done For Now, And Blessed Be!

Spiritual Quest

I was thinking of the many groups, the many doors that I have knocked upon, on my quest for truth and pure worship of God. I have learned from every "place" various Life Lessons, but each season ended (some more abruptly rhan others!) with frustration and a sense of spiritual growth being stunted.

I believe that if a soul keeps pressing on, somehow they will come into being WHO AND WHAT THEY TRULY, ALREADY ARE rather than seeking in frustration to come into being by modes, places, and circumstances. "You Are". It is from this point that true worship flows freely...freely...from a heart tried and pure, come to the end of Self; and freed of religious pretense.

"Perfect love casts out all fear".

"Oh god, You are the potter, and we are but the work of Your hands".

Long ago, and far away.
We worked by night, and hid by day.
We could not in, the open go,
because the church did fear us so.
They feared us for our power is true,
because our magic they could not do.
And so they cried with evil smirks,
lets burn them all, tis devils work.
So burned they did, and torture too,
but still we managed to pull through.
Now we work just as of old,
but in the open free and bold.
We did not change nor go away, We tell the world,
WE ARE HERE TO STAY!

I have been serching for you for years now and I cant believe I've found you. A few years ago my friends started introducing me to Wiccanism. I felt strangly commpelled to it and started studying it. I even came up with a name for myself. Geo-Christian. I figured, I am a christian who worships Jesus Christ through the old religion traditon of the earth, so the name seemed to fit nicely. However I felt some what alone. Constantly serching for people like myself, and I began serching for any sort of web page with people who share my beliefs. Today, like a sign from God, I read an article that mentioned the name Christan Witchery and immediatly tried a serch for it, and 'poof' her I am. I am so happy to finally find a group of people I can call my own.

For I am a Christian Witch

Children of God,
Jesus loves them,
No fear or sorrow,
The Bible says it all

Children of the Goddess,
Witching boys and and girls,
Love in their heart,
Their souls are pure

Where do I fit? My heart goes to both,
I read the Bible and practice spells,
For I am a Christian Witch

Hi. I am SunLion. I am 11 years old. I love both Christianity and Witchcraft. I have found my nitch here. It all started in 2nd grade. My friends and I came up with a "reality" that we were witches. You know, the kind that aren't real. We had "wands" and "flying horses" and more. Of course, when Harry Potter came out, we were in heaven. Well, when my mom found out, she introduced real Witchcraft and told me all about it. That was in 4th grade. I decided to do that and the stuff my friends and I did. Well, my dad's mother, coming from a strictly Christian backround, taught me about Christianity. Meanwhile, one of my friends decided to "grow up" and stop being apart of our witchcraft. Finally, I put two and two together and figured out that Wicca and Christianity were not compatible. I became a Wiccan in November of 2000. Then, I decided to switch on September 13, 2001. When I discovered this site, I was happy. Thanks to you all, I am now a Christian Witch. Thank you all!!!!!

Hey, I would just like to say a little statement. I am not sure what it is, but I like it.

~Love is like an art. Some have it naturally, and some must work on it.~

That was said by M. B. Welch, aka SunLion. Thanks for everyone who listened. I am not really in love or anything like that, I just came up with it. After all, I'm only 11. I must say one more thing.

My thoughts that you might wanna hear:

I am quite comfortable here. I just found this site yesterday and I already feel like I'm family. I'm used to having people that are like family though. I like being in lots of plays down at my community theatre, and everyone in the plays feel like family. But this family... I mean, never so quickly have I felt so comfortable. I love you guys, I really do. THANK YOU!!!! ~SunLion~

"No matter how deep my sleep
I will hear you
And no power of death
Can keep my spirit
From wagging a great full tail"

This was a part of a poem from, umm, I'm really not sure. But, I lost my dog not too long ago. I know my dog is in heaven and I just can't forget that God exists. He's given me too much great joy. So I am studying to be a christian witch.

I'm not sure how to start. I know things, like visions, I guess you can call it that, yet I see them in dreams and I get awfully nervous when I know something is wrong, and I'm usually right. I guess I'll have to do some more reasearch.

Blessed Be! I just found this page and I think that it's way cool that there are christian witches out there. The issue of having to give up Christ and Mary are what have made me hesitant to embrace the Craft, but now that I know you guys are here, I think I'll go for it.

Dear Brothers and sisters,

It is wonderful to have found this concept of Christian Witchery.

I have been interested in Wicca for a long, long time, and now having found a Christian Witchery movement, I would like to pass on a quote from St. John Maximovitch of San Francisco (a great saint for intercession in finding one's path!): (Note, this was written in regards to aspirants to monastic life, but it could well stand for any spiritual path/endeavor:
"If young women who wish give their lives to Christ can
call him their Bridegroom, then why cannot young men of
a similar state of mind call Her their Bride?"

It was this quote that opened up a whole new spiritual world to me, as I was Russian Orthodox for many years. I was convinced that I had to see everything the way the rest of the Church did or end up going to Hell. St. John's statement showed me that there are many ways to be Christian and that that path can include Christian Witchery(it also led to my ordination as anOld Catholic priest in 1994).

I thought that this little quote would be of interest to Orthodox and Non-Orthodox Christian Witches alike.

Brightest Blessings,
Nitestar

The Holy Bible, New International Version - 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 (NIV)
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin£ for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Therefore, I commend all who visit this web site to the Glory which is yours in Christ Jesus.

Hi I was brought up in a christian family that would go to church on sunday mornings and nights and wednesday nights. I felt verry close to God. I felt that he was my leader and my savior. So I decided to get baptised. I had got baptized only a couple years before I was so niterested in witchcraft. I thought it was the thing that was meant for me. But I thought since it said in the bible that you couldn't do it I wouldn't be able to. But now since I've found you I know that I can use it in the name of the lord. Thanx so much. You can E-Mail me if you want at, Colin884u@yahoo.com I'll be back thanx. Bye :)

Hi my name is Colin. I am both a christian and a witch. I have wrote to all of you before and I just wanted to let all the people out there that are looking for advice on christian witchery than here it is. I'm thirteen years old and I have been in Christian wicca for along time and alot of times I get made fun of my relion. And people think that I'm combining the devil with the lord and wich I'm not. But it really hurts. And I'm certainly not about to change my religion because my friends are ignorant and they don't want to find out the truth about my religion so if you want to be a Christian witch you be one because you want to not because your friends want you to because you want to and you might get made fun of or loose a couple friends. but I would give that up any day to harness the power of witchcraft. so you do what you want to. I'll write again.
merry meet
blessed be
be safe and God be with you.

The Rose
By Jordan
I.
for there is one reason,
i need stand before thee,
one force that even God,
himself cannot break,
for one love does my heart ache,
and longs to see,
and only one woman,
who's heart I wish to take.

II.
if my love's heart,
to break into a thousand chips,
or my loves finger,
be pricked by the black rose,
i shall be the red rose
to rest upon my lover's lips,
and it shall be my scent,
to fill my lovers nose.

III.
for I shall grow,
in a crystal vase of water,
the redder i grow,
and bloom in the sun,
i'll put the shine of the stars,
in the eyes of my love,
like the rose and the water,
we shall become one.

OPEN YOUR HEART

Open your heart
And see what can happen
When you feel the touch
Of an intimate friend;
Open your eyes,
A clear sky is waiting,
Come soar with the wind
To the Spirit's home.

See the green valleys,
The pure, running waters,
Behind are the shadows,
I'll follow the sun;
Sorrow and tears
Are only a memory;
This is the day
That I will be free.

Open your heart,
A treasure is waiting,
But far too precious
For money to buy;
Open your heart
And find what you're seeking;
You'll find the way
To make dreams come true.

I am glad that I found this page. I have always connected with spiritual rituals, with the idea of magick. (which in it's simplest form is prayer with props.)

Even though I am just beginning on this journey, I prefer to call myself a christian mystic. I think it encompasses who I want to be. I don't use the term witch because there are about 17 different meanings of the word. Things may change, I don't know.

Anyway...I hear people say a lot about how you might as well just be wiccan...what they are not understanding is wiccan is a completely different worldview than christianity. If you choose christianity, you choose it for a reason, however, by the same token, many of us, in this hectic world don't find time to really connect with God. In the small amount of time we have, we don't really "feel" his spirit because we are not completely focused on him.

To me, all the rituals and magick help to focus us. Someone said something about how magick and spells were against God because you are trying to use God's power on your own accord. (remember when you were considered a new ager if you practiced yoga?)

Jesus performed miracles and said that we should do that also. If the words Magick and spells upset you (they are only words afterall), then perhaps you should go back to what was said earlier that magick is Prayer with props.

You are praying and believing and connecting with God in a way that a more fundamentalist approach does not allow. It is up to God whether you get what you pray for, however, I think a majority of prayers go unanswered because of a lack of relationship and connection with God...If you are doing no harm, and you are following God's commandments and the bible...symbols and rituals will do no harm.

Afterall there are symbols and rituals already in church: singing hymns, water baptism, communion, altars, altar calls, etc. etc. Creating your own symbols between you and God, writing your own poetry between you and God...to me, these are things that deepen your bond with God in a way that a more traditional form of worship cannot do. You are connecting your spiritual world with your physical world and starting on a journey that will bring you more awareness of God's awesome presense.

Also on the topic of God/dess. Some people are comfortable with this concept I am not. While I believe that God has no gender and agree with the views about feminine and masculine properties stated here, I have to say that to say: "Goddess" would feel as if I were praying to someone else.

Perhaps it is patriarchal society, but I feel more comfortable with the word God, or heavenly father, but that is just me.

I just wanted to share those thoughts with you guys...if anyone wants to email me feel free.

April =)

This is a note of gratitude. For a while now I have read about wicca and haven't felt comfortable with it. I mean it has it's good points but i don't feel right about the concept of the God and the Goddess and a few days ago I read something that made my blood boil some narrow minded wiccan( no offense to wiccans in general)said witch craft and christianty didn't mix. Right then and there i told myself that I would find a way and then i found this web site and i'm relieved beyond measure that there are people out there who feel the same the i do. Thanks to all who believe.

I just wanted to add one more thought here.

Some people say that you are trying to wrest power away from God when you do magick. However, there are universal laws out there which make psychic power and what we think of as supernatural power possible. (although you couldn't convince a skeptic of it.)

The point is this: We trust God to provide our daily needs: food, clothing, shelter, etc. However, very few people actually sit around and wait for these things to fall out of the sky. People work. They make a living, they buy food, clothes, and secure shelter.

Does this mean they are trying to wrest power away from God because they are taking initiative to provide for their needs?

No!

If you sat around all day and prayed and prayed and prayed...I doubt seriously that food, clothing and shelter would fall out of the sky for you. Because if we don't learn to do anything on our own, we are not growing as individuals.

The fact that God gives us free will, the ability to reason and some measure of intelligence shows that while he wants us to trust in him and rely on him, he also wants us to learn to do some things for ourselves.

Scientists say we only use a tenth of our brain power...I would venture to say that those who use magick use a little bit more.

If it's something within your power to do...then it really isn't supernatural but is only regarded as such because not everyone has the knowledge that is hidden in plain sight.

Therefore...I don't believe that magick is wresting power away from God anymore than I believe that getting a job and going to work to earn money to provide for your daily needs is wresting power away from God.

Just a thought. Hopefully it was of some help to you all.

Blessings.

I am so thrilled to have found this site. I can barely explain it in words! My uncle and I have been self-proclaimed "Chris-witches" for several years now and it can be somewhat confusing...wondering..."Am i doing the right thing?" "Does Jesus understand?" It is so comforting to find others out there who feel the same way we do! Thank you! Blessed Be in God's name!

Full Moon

Sad yet ever so awake, I began to gaze, tranfixed by her glory.
Dark suffocating clouds raced between us, one after another,
intertwined, choking and relentless, -
desperate to keep us seperate.
Yet in defiance she shone true, after each choking shroud, in the brief
intermittent spaces between them, ever stronger she shone through to me.
Sadness evaporated, and I was attentative as she imparted her wisdom;
I was doing the right thing; whatever pain and fear may veil my desire to
live by the truth, it will forever shine through, for she is always
in my heart.

What a wonderful concept! I am a Christian who found myself extremely attracted to Witchcraft and the Wiccan way a few years ago, but could not give up the God of my childhood, and so just tried to forget about Wicca. Since then a lot has changed for me.. most of all the opening up of my gifts, with the help of an aunt of mine.. I still feel drawn to Wicca, and this site has shown me that it is possible to incorporate elements of it in my Christianity!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

That said, here is a prayer I thought y'all might like... It's from the book, "Prayer and the Five Stages of Healing" by Ron Roth, PHD. Incidentally, the book is a good source of meditations and prayers that could easily be incorporated into spellwork and rituals.

The prayer is the "Canticle of Brother Sun" by St. Francis of Assisi, its on pages 110-111 of the book:

Most high, all-powerful, all good, O Lord!
All praise is yours, all glory, all honor
And all blessing.
To you alone, Most High, do they belong.
No mortal lips are worthy
To pronounce your name.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through all that you have made.
And first my Lord Brother Sun,
Who brings the day; and light you give to us through him.
How beautiful is he, how radiant in all his splendor!
Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Moon and Stars;
In the heavens you have made them, bright
And precious and fair.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air,
And fair and stormy, all the weather's moods,
By which you cherish all that you have made.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Water,
So useful, lowly, precious, and pure.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Brother Fire,
Through whom you brighten up the night.
How beautiful is he, how gay! Full of power and strength.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Earth, our mother.
Who feeds us in her sovereignty and produces
Various fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through those who grant pardon
For love of you; through those who endure
Sickness and trial.
Happy those who endure in peace,
By you, Most High, they will be crowned.
All praise be yours, my Lord, through Sister Death,
From whose embrace no mortal can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin!
Happy those She finds doing your will!
The second death can do no harm to them.
Praise and bless my Lord, and give him thanks,
And serve him with great humility.

Thanks again... God/dess Bless and Love and Light to yall!

Temporary Possession of the Sea

I found myself alone along the shore
The dark of night surrounded me
Felt as though I'd been there before

There was silence

Knowing that I'd never touched this sand
I walked with only moonlight guiding me
by the hand
Her stillness called to me
Her sadness said my name
Release her from this death
Awake her from the pain

I could feel it

I looked to the cloudy sky
I beckoned to the full moon
I then wondered why
the sea was kept from singing
her magestic tune

My hands felt heavy
I brought my eyes back down to see
the moon was in my arms
The rest was up to me

I closed my eyes

Lifting her up, I turned her around
not to anger her nor to please
To turn her world upside down
had brought me to my knees
for I found
that as I played this game
the moon in the sky would do the same
As I stirred her up, she called upon the ocean
who responded quickly with uninhibited emotion
and she sang...

Thunder bellowed as the clouds above danced by
The waves crashed to the shore
and whispered a soft goodbye
to the calm
of the night
and she sang...

and as she sang I found myself alone no more
She had called upon other souls to walk upon her lonely shore

and we danced in the ocean
to her song of mixed emotion.

My son is not yet two years old, but he loves the moon. Whenever we go outside he looks for it in the sky. We try to catch it in our hand.

On January 29th, 2002, my son and I watched the full moon rise in the east. He stood on the couch, looking outside, as the majestic orb rose slowly into the sky. Soon it was time for him to go to bed. I left his curtain open so he could look outside and see the moon as it climbed higher into the sky. Eventually he fell asleep.

I will always cherish this memory.

For myself, I have enjoyed watching a full moon rise for many years - ever since I was a young child and became interested in astronomy. I don't know if my interest in the moon is connected at all to witchery or paganism. Some of my friends are pagans and they are wonderful people.

I have wondered if it was possible to be a witch and a christian at the same time, and today I think I have an answer.

Thank-you for your web site.

Cheers,
ChrisH

I was so grateful to find a Christian Witch page. I was raised a Catholic but in high school found myself fascinated and excited by Wicca. Then a few years ago I was going through a very emotionally difficult time in my life and found myself entering a Catholic Church and began to attend regularly. However, recently I began to feel emotionally distant from my faith. I said my prayers but I didn't feel anything. Then I began to think about my involvement in Wicca and how spiritual I had felt during that involvement. I began to wonder if there was a way to combine the two faiths into one. So I began looking online and was amazed to find several Christian Wicca resources. It was a relief to know that there were more like me.

Since making the decision to combine my Christianity and Wicca I ]have noticed a huge change in my spirituality. I now feel more emotionally involved. When I pray I can feel it now. It has made me a happier person and each day I notice my life getting better. I can only hope that my life will continue to get better.

Standing under the oak tree,
Spinning round and round,
I close my eyes,
I wonder why,
I'm no longer on the ground.
As I spin I lift into mid air,
I feel the wind massage my face,
All alone,
On my own,
In my magical place.
As I feel all I feel,
Is the sun's warmth upon my skin,
I know it's real,
I can feel,
Flower petals touch my fingertips.
This what you do to me,
And you've done it since we met,
But now I'm alone,
Your on your own,
But I still feel you now and then.

The Blessed Trinity is an ending coil of mystery. For so long I had dealt with people arguing with me about the Pagan elements of Christianity, and had felt obliged to explain them away.

Now my Lord has brought me to a fresh and beautiful revelation. All the archetypes in these different Pagan myths are simply reflections of the profound truth of the gospel. Are we not all made in the image of the Unknowable One in Three who chooses to reveal the nature of Himself? Then surely it makes perfect sense that the spark of divine knowledge is within all.. How I love the recurrence and timeless truth of a dying and rising king, a Holy and perfectly balanced queen of heaven.

I have chosen to follow the path of a Druid, but salute all those whose path is Wicca... be blessed and know that you are in the deep caress of the Almighty.

For all the witches out there- if you don't really know what to do for a spell or anything, try sitting in a dark room and having an open window with a chime in front of it. Listen to your breathing or the beat of your heart and every time the chime chimes, listen with your heart and follow your heart. Try pretending to be the acual chime and breath in when it chimes (not only when it chimes, though), then listen to your heart. Note: You MUST be in a very deep state of meditation to do this.

Pine and Oak,
earth and stream,
stars and moon
from sunlight's beam.
Realm of angels
limitless and great
take me through
to heaven's gate.
Pull me along
with your gossamer light
through the darkness
of this night.
Wolf's cry shivers
down my spine,
mingling with the beat of my heart,
hear my voice just like her own,
a spirit crying out
to be known.
Realm of God
limitless and bright,
take me through
my darkest night,
on the breath
of faeries sweet,
to my maker
let me meet.
Pine and oak,
elder and rose,
let me find
complete repose.

I have been a Catholic all my life and yet I've always been interested in other people's spiritual journeys. During the last year I've taken an avid interest in certain aspects of nature mysticism, candle magick, angel magick and psychic ritual. This web page has helped me sort out alot of my concerns. Being a Christian or Catholic witch is another step in a journey for me. God,the Son and the Holy Spirit is the center of my faith, my Creator, while angels, spirits and the natural world are part of His creation. To view aspects of nature as my brothers and sisters, along with all humankind, helps me to form a stronger feeling of belonging and inner peace. God has given me tools to strengthen my own faith and to find a way to heal inside. To me, it's not about straying from God, it's about enrichment and everyone finds different ways to enrich their spiritual lives. Does God alone suffice? Of course, and God has shown me a way to enrich my life. I continue to pray for peace in the world, for inner peace and healing. Blessings

Daily worship ritual of the God and Goddess,

Light both candles and place the offering in the bowl.

Say these words:

Holy Sophia, giver of wisdom and mother of Spirit,
El Elyon, master of the universe and all things,
Accept this offering I (we) place here in your honor.
Grant me (us) the wisdom to lift the veil, and see your presence,
O Heavenly Parents!

Sit or stand in contemplation of the the godhead for a few minutes. Then quench the flames, do not blow them out it is an affront to Debariel the erekodeshoi (watcher) associated with fire. Use your fingers or knife blade, etc... .

At first I thought it wasn't possible to mix my Christian beliefs with Wicca. At first I was a straight Christian, but I was into magick, spells and all of that but I thought it was just wrong for me to do all of that magical stuff, and after awhile I stopped believing in magick and spells. But then one day I found this site about Wicca, that gave a lot of infomation on the religion after awhile I found myself getting more into Wicca and I wanted to follow the Wicca path, since so many people said it wasn't possible to mix chistian beliefs with Wicca, so I almost gave up my Christian faith completely until I found two sites about Christian Wicca. The two sites gave thoughtful infomation about the bible and how it doesn't condemn us to use magick, or spells, matter of fact, I found this site that said this "We can use magick that came from God, as long as it is used in service to God." When I read that, and some more information on the bible I realized that it is possible to become both Wicca and Christian. I'm here to tell people that despite what other people think, you believe in what YOU want to believe in, if YOU want to mix Christianity with Wicca then go ahead and do so, this is no one right religion or faith, because ALL religions was a man's idea. Just think about that.
