She cried when she was handed to me.
My favorite picture! I was telling her it was going to be OK. She had a family who loved her, sisters who loved her, a daddy who loved her, even a brother who loved her. She would love it. It was going to be OK.
At Dianbai Welfare Institute, the five families with their children, about an hour after we received them.
She slept all night in the bassinet on the plane. Karin didn't know how she would have managed without the bassinet. Our first daughter had slept on her lap, but mostly standing, with her head on Karin's lap. Our second daughter wasn't able to stand, and she was too confined in the front pack. On occasion they walked in the front pack (that is how Karin put her to sleep for the bassinet.)
Big brother picked us up at the San Francisco airport. First meeting with Big Brother (gege, big brother, age 23).
Our first daughter sobbed when she saw me!
Later that night, everyone needed mom.
