Men
Go Bare
by Rodney Brandon
Hair
removal has received increased publicity since the
introduction of the first hair removal laser. It wasn't
until all the laser hype a few years ago that men became
interested in permanent hair removal.
Health conscience men spend several hours per week
exercising in the gym to stay trim and build muscle mass.
Because they are proud of their well-defined lines, they
shave, wax or use depilatories on their bodies. Weight
lifters realize that hairless bodies make them look
bigger. After the first Mr. Universe was crowned in 1950,
weight lifters with hair free bodies became ordinary.
Shaving an entire body several times per week can be a
tiresome routine for a guy with excessive body hair.
Waxing can be very painful and there is a potential of
acne-causing ingrown hairs while unwelcome skin
irritation may follow the use of depilatories. Laser
treatments provided by a highly trained laser technician
is an alternative to these methods for fast relief of
unwanted hair. Laser results last longer, but rarely will
destroy all hair permanently on a treated area.
Almost always, a man seeking professional hair removal
services is interested in treating a large area. Electrolysis
is a permanent solution if
a highly skilled professional can be found in your area.
Laser assisted hair removal will offer long lasting
results and clinical studies indicate some permanent hair
loss on treated areas of ideal candidates(fair skinned,
dark haired). Before seeking professional hair removal
services, a man must first decide what he hopes to
achieve, by when and at what cost.
Back hair is the number one concern for men.
Electrolysis on the back will require an initial clearing
and about 3 - 5 additional clearings. Unfortunately,
depending on the hair density, budget, experience of the
electrologist and time available, the initial clearing
may take several months, then, it is to do again. An
alarming number of well established electrologists do not
have the necessary time available to dedicate to one
client. Usually, a man who wants to have hair removed
from his back will require several years of electrology
treatments. If your goal is to walk down the beach with
your shirt off next summer, then electrolysis is probably
not for you. The temporary results of laser treatments
may be the only logical hair removal choice for men with
extremely heavy hair growth on their backs who desire
quick relief.
Because hair on the penis may decrease sexual pleasure
for some men or their partners, genital hair removal is a
big concern too. Irritation caused by temporary removal
methods can be painful for him and uncomfortable for his
partner. Genital hair can be safely and effectively
removed with only a few electrology treatments when
properly performed. For some this is a necessity while
others simply desire a cleaner or more shapely growth
pattern. Both electrolysis and laser treatments will work
fine to treat the genital area. Electrolysis treatments
are permanent and laser treatments will provide temporary
results for a period of time. However, few electrology
clinics offer treatment on male genitals while most laser
clinics do.
Smooth hairless bodies are considered clean, youthful
and sexy creating a big demand for hair removal experts
that offer their services to men. More men than ever
before are removing their body hair and going bare.
