I have also found the people of the Northwest to be very open and friendly. I've met some truly interesting people. I moved up here with my best friend Ray. We have managed to crave out a pretty good life here. We met some really great people here. I've dated only a few guys since arriving, and have yet to find that one special person. But I'm pretty hopefully I'll met someone to make a life with here. The gay community here in Portland is pretty big and very active. There are numerous bars, and clubs, including and outdoors club (The Adventure Group), and a very strong bear club (Oregon Bears). For the most part the town of Portland it's self is a liberal town. The state overall is pretty progressive, with eastside being more conservative. The only major drawback here is the economy.
