Clooney: Kathy, You know my thoughts on all of this. I told you
earlier that several years ago it was impossible to find out about upcoming
performances and venues. You work very diligently to give us as much information
as possible and for that I thank you. Instead of searching for hours trying
to find out news concerning Rosemary, we have one location that gives us
"groupies" as much data as we want! For me, it can never be too much! Nor
do I ever tire of hearing her sing.

Clooney: I have been a fan of Rosie's for 45 years, since I was
15 years young. We have met several times and she is always the same, friendly
and welcoming. We last met Rosie, Dante, Nick and Nina at the Ritz hotel
London. My husband and I look forward to see Rosie and Dante the next time
we are in America xxxx

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: I'm 30 and have been a fan of Rosie since finishing college.
In 1993 I saw her here in Richmond VA, and have been hooked ever since. That
night, the way she sang ballads was enchanting. I remember a collective sigh
from the audience after "More Than You Know"--it was just so warmly and
beautifully sung. Saw her again in 1998 at Rainbow and Stars, and my partner
arranged to get an autographed photo from Rosie, with personalized birthday
greetings. Needless to say, it was a great gift! Have collected most of her
Concord recordings, and about a year ago, began collecting her earlier work
on the Bear Family boxes--love both periods for differsnt reasons. And congrats
on a wonderful site! Long overdue tribute to one of the finest interpreters
of popular song!

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: I have listened to Rosemary,s music ever since I can
remember as my Mom & Dad & Grandmother were avid fans of hers in
the 50's & 60's. They owned many of her records and her music was played
in our house every day. Of course my favorite Rosemary song when I was a
little girl was "THIS OLE HOUSE" and it still is!

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: I have been a fan of Rosemary's since 1978, when she
touched my life, and gave me hope after my Mother passed away from Lung Cancer
at the age of 42. There has not been one thing in my life that I can't get
through, because of Rosemary. If she can overcome all that she has in her
life, than so can anyone who has the faith. This site is a wonderful way
for Rosemary Clooney fans to unite. Kathy, As I have said MANY times before..Your
doing a fantastic job, and I believe, impressed quite a few people. Until
this site was established, it was almost impossible to find anything on Rosemary.
Keep up the good work, and if I can help in anyway, you know how to reach
me.

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: I believe one of Rosemary's sons put it best when he
said, "My Mother is somewhat of a National Treasure." She is that indeed
and more. Rosemary herself stated that she feels her mission now is to "carry
the torch" for all the great singers she knew who have gone before her. She
has shown us all facets of her life, unabashedly and has given us herself
for many decades. She is the greatest of "Girl Singers", then, now and forever
more. She is also gracious, kind, loving and dedicated to share her talent
with us, sing the words to songs like we've never heard them sung before.
Rosemary is there for us and we will always be there for her, because we
love her singing and because we Love Her so very much!

right. I saw her at Drury Lane in March and she was simply fabulous. She
can deliver a lyric like nobody around. Can hardly wait for the new CD and

Clooney: I have loved Rosemary since I was a young girl. My favorite
Christmas movie has always been WHITE CHRISTMAS. I have at least 15 of her
CD's. My favorite now is the new cd SONGS FROM THE GIRL SINGER. I have also
bought and read her new autobiography. It is really wonderful! I have also
read THIS FOR REMEMBERANCE. I have been searching for internet sites about
Rosemary for months and just recently came across this site. It is GREAT!
I would love to go and see Rosemary at one of her concerts, but because of
my work and family this is almost impossible for me. That is why I really
like the concert sites so much! Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Rose

She inspires me to work hard and stick to it when times get tough. Thanks
Ms. Clooney! I'll see you at Ravania! ( If the Brookfield zoo's Children's

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: At 39 years old I have no idea why I've become so hooked
on Rosie, other than to say she brings back all the good memories from my
childhood. My Christmas isn't complete unless I see "White Christmas". All
the songs are my favorite, but the two that take first place for me is "Sisters"
and "Count your Blessings". I am in the process of trying to collect her
music for my personal enjoyment. My local library and I have running joke
when I go down there to get them to request the CD's for me. They hide! I
record them and find out what is next on the list and go back to the library
to bug them a little more. They've left an open screen on their computers
to do a search as to what library has the CD in question!

Clooney: I just finished reading "Girl Singer" and loved hearing
all the ups and downs and lessons from Rosemary Clooney's life. I am 34 years
old but feel like I should have grown up in the 40's and 50's. The music
still stirs me. What a wonderful way for such a gifted women to continue
her career, after tough times what a reward for it all to have the respect
she has now in the year 2000. One never knows where the long road of life
will take us. I hope Rosemary is as happy as she has ever been and is enjoying
her family in every way!! Diane Roberts, Mama23kc@aol.com I would love to

Clooney: Have known about Rosemary Clooney and Betty and Nick
since late 1940's. Not personally, but the way you know people who go to
school across the street or live down the block while growing up. The way
small town people know and love their own, especially when they bring their
first movie home to us instead of to one of the "big" cities. God bless you,

myself and so many others! My grandmother, who is now deceased, was a fan,
as is my precious mother. My mom and I enjoy listening and sharing times
of old while enjoying this timeless music. My most favorite release of her's
is the recent Mothers and Daughters. It warms my heart to hear the heartfelt
selections of love between Ms.Clooney and her favorite girls in her life.
Should she have the chance, please encourage her to do another album of lovesongs
between parents and their children...it's so sincere and original. Thank
You Ms. Clooney!

Clooney: Played cards with 6 other couples tonight, and Rosemary
was one of the topics of conversation. WRMR radio out of Clelveland played
one of her songs, everything stopped and all listened, then we spent the
next 15 min. talking of that era when we were young and listened to Rosemary.
Then we got out the tape of White Christmas and ran it to the end, just to
listen to White Christmas and see the beautiful snow when the doors opened
on the hotel, I think most of us cried. Sincerely, David Zimmerman P.O. Box

Clooney: Rosemary has always been loved by all my family members.
I want to share with you our recend experience, our Mother of 81yrs, just
passed away after a 12 year stuggle with Alzhemiers. When Rosemary made "Mothers
& Daughters" Those songs reminded me soo much of everything my Mom was
made of, it brought ( and continues to bring) lots of joy and memories of
our mother. At the funeral "Always" was played and there wasn't a dry eye
in the house. I and my siblings will be eternally grateful to Rosemary for
such great music. Once again thats for this great site!!! Don Nalette....

Clooney: Last night, after waiting at least twenty years, I saw
Rosemary Clooney IN PERSON. At the Hollywood Bowl. It was, to coin a phrase,
a dream come true. She was simply magnificent, and I feel very lucky to have
been there. A question. She told some funny stories about her grandchildren,
including one about the grandson who learned half of one of her hits, and
then managed to perform it (only half of it) in an impromptu performance
arranged by the kid himself. If anyone knows this story, please tell me,
what was the song? Thanks.

Clooney: I became an instant fan when I saw White Christmas for
the first time. I was 40, but had never been interested in the movie because
as a child I caught the last scene and determined it was boring. (Nothing
like Rudolph and Charlie Brown to a child anticpating Christmas). Anyway,
when the group sang "Snow," I was immediately captured by that velvety sound
coming from the female singing the higher part. I finally realized who she
was, and bought everything (CD's, videos, autobiography, etc.) I could get
my hands on. I am so glad she is still singing, recording and re-releasing.
I am not a fan kind of person, but I'm hooked here. Rosemary Clooney's voice
and presentation are truly a gift from God to everyone who would but listen
-- even it it takes them 40 years!

I realize that you have your own staff to help you, but as a LOCAL person,
I might have specific knowledge of Toronto that might be of use to you. I
can be reached at m_packer_ca@yahoo.com or by telephone at 416-368-7651,

forward to seeing your Toronto show on October 5. Meta

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: I apologize for emailing more-than-once, but I felt that
I wanted to say more - which includes an update.... 1. In case Miss Clooney
wants to know, at least one ticket has been bought for her upcoming Toronto
show on October 5. Yup, I did - yesterday, which was August 25, 2000. I am
so excited and amazed that she is playing Toronto. I cannot wait to see her.
2. I am also curious as to why Toronto. Is it because Miss Clooney just recorded
a duet with a jazz singer who is Canadian? I refer to Diana Krall and their
cut on Miss Clooney's new CD called Brazil. 3. The cut that I refer to in
#2 above I heard played last night - on CBC Radio. The name of the program
is After Hours. It was played between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. local Toronto time.
(No doubt Miss Clooney will receive an airplay statement to this effect in
the near future). 4. In my email the other day, I left my telephone number
in case Miss Clooney might need something when/before she arrives in Toronto.
While I realize that she undoubtedly has very capable, trusted people to
help her, and that I am a nobody, my value is that I am LOCAL. If it would
make Miss Clooney more comfortable to "check me out", she is of course free
to do so. One way might be for her to contact Mrs. Lisa Reedy - who seems
like a very sweet lady - who works for Concord, as Mrs. Reedy and I have
been in email contact since last year. 5. I can also be reached for this
purpose at m_packer_ca@yahoo.com; I also leave my telephone number again:
416-368-7651 x310 any time between 7 a.m. and midnight (local Toronto time),
7 days a week 6. Speaking of Mrs. Reedy, I sent her a copy of a wonderful
newspaper article on Miss Clooney earlier this year which appeared in a Canadian
newspaper called the National Post. 7. And may I also thank you for your
time in reading this!

Clooney: Ms. Clooney, I enjoyed immensely your appearance recently
with the San Francisco Symphony this summer in July. Your arrangements were
great! You sing the classics with much warmth and professionalism. Your presence
on stage is truly dynamic, tremendously entertaining. I loved your story
about the Pope. I am Irish and Italian so I understand exactly how you feel!
I'm a professional violinist and music teacher here in the North Bay area.
I have my own ensemble which I started, The Allegro String Trio. We performed
at San Francisco City Hall in the rotunda last year in June for the City
of Hope. We have a gig virtually every weekend somewhere in the north bay
or east bay area. I am also in two symphony orchestras. On 10/1 & 10/2/00
I will be a soloist with the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, one of four. We are
performing the Concerto Grosso for four violins by Vivaldi. I study privately
at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with William Barbini, a veteran
of the NY Philharmonic. His wife Kuniko won 4th place in The Paganini Competition
thirty years ago. Galamian was one of his teachers. I noticed in your concert
schedule that you are performing at The Flint Center 10/28/00. I called to
reserve a seat. I look forward to your performance with the San Jose Symphony.
Keep up the great work. You are very much appreciated. Linda Kennedy

Clooney: I am teaching my ll yr. old to appreciate the music of
Rosie, Tony Bennett, Doris Day and others of a historical time of music when
my mom and dad were young and enjoying this type of music. I enjoyed this
music when I was a teenager growing up in the 1970's when it wasn't a fashionable
thing to like the music of the big bands. Rosie is an inspiration to me,
for I,too, have been the victim of psychiatric illness and spent 3 weeks
in the hospital as Rosie did long ago.

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: Ms. Clooney is an incredible woman with a tremendous
story to tell with her outstanding voice! I've been a fan all of my life.
At 38, most of my friends laugh when I reply "Rosemary Clooney" when I'm
asked, "Who is your favorite band or singer?". . .most expect to hear someone
current or from the 60s, 70s, or 80s. . .Ms. Clooney was a singer during
that time frame! I admire Ms. Clooney because she never forgot from where
she came. In today's society that's extremely important. We attended the
2nd Annual Rosemary Clooney Music Festival in Maysville, KY on September
30, 2000. It was a wonderful evening and as usual, Ms. Clooney sounded
incredible. . .even though she apparently wasn't feeling well. I certainly
hope Ms. Clooney is feeling much better than she was that evening. Thank
you for providing a place to write comments about your web site or Ms. Clooney.
And thank you, Ms. Clooney for all the wonderful years of song!!!!!!!

Clooney: Hello, I`m 15 years old and my identical twin and I have
been so inspired by your role in "White Christmas." We have always been into
the performing arts since we were little and hope to become professional
singers after high school and college training. You have inspired us so much
to pursue this wonderful field due to your amazing talent. Especially when
it comes to your "sisters" number, which we have acted out in many many talent
shows in the past.It always seems to be such a hit. (it tends to work well
since we`re twins)My sister and I just want to acknowlede your amazing talents.
Thanks for being such a great model. We`ll always savor your "sisters" act

Clooney: I have been a fan of Rosemary Clooney since I was five
years old. It has been fourteen years and with all the new singers and music
she remains my favorite female vocalist. I love to sing myself and as a young
child her style helped me to define my own. Her auto biography is wonderful,
if you get a chance to read it please do. It gives real insight into her
life and why she does what she does.

Clooney: Oh Rosemary, Just saw your scenes in WC and was again
dumbfounded. Like you've heard thousands of times, you are very moving in

screen. Thank you for being there, and for being here now. How often do we
regret not saying something nice to the special ones that surround us? Rosie,

It's great to be able to tune in here and have all this terrific stuff in

Rosie's voice has brought. She has always been my favorite singer. Rosemary
has always had a presence that warms your heart. No wonder she conveys it
so well in her singing. This girl singer was born to sing and she is also
a gifted actress. Every time I go to see her in person I feel like I'm five
and it's Christmas Morning again. And- that husband Dante of hers is something
else too! Matchmaker did a swell job! I hope someday Rosemary comes to visit

Comments/Thoughts about the Palladium or Ms. Rosemary
Clooney: I'm 52 years old, with two daughters, 26 and 27, and
two sons, 12 and 15. My mom, who died in 1985 at age 59, was a big fan of
Rosemary Clooney's, and I was lucky enough to grow up listening to Clooney
and Sinatra and Bennett, among others, rather than the Beatles -- even though
I've come to appreciate their music now, too. I took my older daughter when
she was about 18 or 19 to see Miss Clooney at Westbury Music Fair in Long
Island, NY. The performance was with her daughter-in-law and two of her
grandchildren, who sang "Sisters" on stage. It meant a lot to me to be able
to share what I consider to be a real part of my life, and my mom's life,
with my daughter, and I'll never forget the experience. I'd love the chance
to go and see Rosie again, maybe this time with my other kids, and pass on
the tradition to another generation. I play my "Show Tunes" CD at work, where
I sit in a room with a bunch of 20-somethings, and they love it! Just wanted
to get a chance to say, and hopefully this will get to Miss Clooney, that
"just singing music" can be a huge contribution to people's lives, and memories,
and feelings. You've been a part of my family's life for many years, and
you've touched us all. Thanks!
