Jack E. Hollenbeck, who owned a well digging business for 30 years, died in Vancouver on Saturday, June 3, 2000. He was 93.
A Vancouver-area resident since 1933, Mr. Hollenbeck was born June 1, 1907, in Glen Rock, Wyo. His wife of 50 years, Elsie, died in 1983, and a grandson, David, died in 1999. Mr. Hollenbeck retired in 1975. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed traveling, singing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Rosalie, at home; one daughter, Katholeen Fletcher of Vancouver; one son, Edward of Brush Prairie; one sister, Virginia Hill of Blaremore, Alberta; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

David died on Wednesday, June 23, 1999, of a heart attack, at the age of 40. He loved the beauty of nature; loved to watch things grow; loved the guitar and writing poems. He was always there to help people when he could. God had a special place in his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A U.S. Navy veteran who enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar, David Vernon Hollenbeck, 40, died of a heart attack Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at his Vancouver home.
Mr. Hollenbeck was born Sept. 6, 1958, in Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Vancouver two years later. He attended Evergreen High School.
Survivors include his mother, Yvonne of Pasco; his father, Edward of Brush Prairie; his grandfather, Jack of Vancouver; two sisters, Cindy and Julie Hollenbeck, both of Vancouver; one brother, John of Vancouver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
