Elizabeth Kleopfer (1857-1943)


Elizabeth (Kleopfer) Clever was born in 1857 in California. When three years old, she and her parents moved to Indiana. She was married to Jacob Lincoln Clever. They had no children. Elizabeth died February 25, 1943 at the are of 86. She is buried at the Sharon Hill cemetery.

Her obituary reads:

Mrs. Clever Dead - Funeral Services Will be held Sunday at Sharon Hill Church

Mrs. Elizabeth Clever, 86, widow, of Lincoln Clever, died at 8:15 o'clock last night at her home, Lexington, route 3. She had been ill for a year. Her home was near Pleasant Point school and she had been a resident of that community for 60 years. She was a member of Sharon Hill Presbyterian church. Surviving are four brothers, Charles, William, Jacob and Louis Kleopfer, all of this county; a sister Mrs. Margaret Schulte of Cincinnati, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m. at Sharon Hill church in charge of Rev. C. C. Filer . Friends may call at the Taff funeral home in Hanover until Saturday at 5:00 p. m. when she will be taken home.
