Mr. Rebelo has dealt with several difficulties over the last year & with the passing of some of his instructors, he was in a state of mourning thier memories.
Now,in 2008, we as a studio and a martial arts family are gathering to promote the studio and the martial arts we teach here at Rebelo's Kenpo Karate!

 April 18, 2008- Nationwide:
The new martial arts film "Forbidden Kingdom" starring Jackie Chan & Jet Li, will be opening on Friday,April 18 throughout the United States! We encourage all of our students to see what promises to be an exciting Chinese Martial Arts action film!

 April 13 2008- Boston,MA:
Mr. Rebelo attended the Spring World Martial Arts Fedration tournament, Held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury,Massachusetts. He officiated as a center & corner judge for several of the events which featured Kenpo/Kempo as well as the Chinese Martial Arts. There were divisions for all ages in Empty Hand & Weapon Forms as well as sparring. Mr. Rebelo has been a longtime supporter of the event and has encouraged several Chinese Martial Arts studios to attend this tournament because it is one of the few events that has seperate divisions for Kungfu/Wushu as well as Tai Chi.

 March 1 2008- Danvers,MA:
Mr. Rebelo was a featured instructor at the 2008 Martial Arts Federation Hall of Fame Seminars. He taught the "diversity of Kempo/Kenpo" on how different styles/systems approached dealing with the same attack. It was an honor and privilage to be featured alongside various grandmasters,masters,instructors & students.

 January 18 2008- Dighton,MA:
Mr. Rebelo attended a Black Belt test/demonstration at "Mr. V's Kempo Jujutsu" at the "Karate Yoga" studio. Congrats to "Kyle" who was promoted to the rank of First Degree Black Belt in Kempo Jujutsu under his instrctor, Doug Veronesi. Mr. Veronesi is also the founder of "The Brotherhood of Martial Artists" group. A non-profit organization designed to assist all martial artists free of charge. Mr. Rebelo has attended as well as taught at the BHMA gatherings in the past.

October 2007- New Bedford, MA:
Mr. Rebelo was mentioned in the December issue of "Inside Kung Fu" magazine in Joe Simonet's columm "KI fighting concepts" in the article "Gathering of Greats". It was an honor seeing him again and attending his seminar! Thank you for the mention!

June 23 2007- Chicago/Tinley Park,IL:
Mr. Rebelo attended the "Gathering of the Eagles 3" kenpo seminars & He was inducted as one of the 100 charter members of the "International Kenpo Hall of Fame". Mr. Rebelo was inducted with such greats as Jerome Barber,Nancy Cerio,Nick Chamberlin,Mills Crenshaw,Sascha Williams,Bart Vale,Joe Simonet & Addy Hernandez and many more! Mr. Rebelo was also a featured instructor, teaching "Ed Parker's American Freestyle Techniques" at the event. It was a great joy to see many masters from various kenpo styles throughout the world.
