LOCATION: We can often be found camping at the various state parks and wildlife conservation areas of S.E. and E. Central Missouri.

FAVORITE PASTIME: Fishing the clear water streams of MO. and sitting around a campfire with friends.

HELPFUL OUTDOOR TIPS

Never go hiking in the woods during deer season wearing a buckskin coat.

You can compress the diameter of your rolled-up sleeping bag by running over it with your car.

When you use a public campground, placing a tuba on your picnic table will keep the campsites on either side of you vacant.

You can duplicate the warmth of a down-filled bedroll by climbing into a plastic garbage bag filled with several geese.

TEN WAYS TO TELL YOU'VE PICKED THE WRONG CAMPGROUND!

10. The campground host wears a hockey mask and carries a chainsaw wherever he goes.

9. The lake or river you're camping at has numerous skeletal remains of animals at the water's edge.

8. At the entrance to the campground, Smokey Bear has been hung in effigy.

7. The man camped next to you brought his pet with him, a pit bull named "Alligator."

6. Everyone else at the campground is wearing camouflage, speaking Spanish, carrying sidearms, and all of their campfire songs deal with revolution.
