Crockpot Applesauce

Here's the perfect solution for all the apples that are plentiful in the fall.  This applesauce is absolutely delicious.  It's another winner from Christine (DmstcEngr@aol.com)

Crockpot Applesauce

10 cooking apples (approximately) -- diced
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
cinnamon -- to taste
1 tablespoon butter

Add all ingredients to crockpot and cook on low for about 6 hours. Stir and serve.

NOTES : To make this more spicy, add a cinnamon stick, nutmeg and cloves.  It isn't necessary to peel the apples before dicing in this recipe.  The skin makes the sauce a lovely shade of pink.
