Holy Cross Handbell Choir

Holy Cross owns three octaves of Schulmerich Handbells. The first two octaves were given in the mid-1970's as a memorial to Louise Dempsey by her daughter, also named Louise Dempsey. The third octave was added approximately 10 years later. In December of 1998, we received a memorial donation given in memory of member Charles A. Stock, part of which was used to purchase three octaves of Schulmerich Melody Chimes. As of June, 2000, we raised enough funds to purchase the 4th octave of bells, plus the upper 5 notes from the 5th octave. We should receive the bells sometime in August.
