Luke Skywalker Manga Scans
Luke's character in the manga was wonderfully portrayed. Hisao Tamaki captured the innocence and awkwardness of the character with stunning preciseness. I do wish the manga hadn't stayed so close to the original dialogue of the film, though (some scenes felt pretty redundant, due to the fact that I've seen the movie uncountable times). The manga-ish aspects of it were very good. I found some of the scenes quite hilarious, due to the typical manga expressions on Luke's face. The following two in particular were very funny.
This is probably the one manga scene that I felt was better than the same scene in the original movie. This Luke has so much more feeling and expression than Mark Hamill did in this particular scene, where Luke discovers that Beru and Owen have been killed. Here are a few scans from this scene. I'm not going to scan the entire scene, though, so there are some gaps.
