in New York City (NYC), New York, and Paris, France, offers healing Reiki treatments and
training throughout the world. Reiki literally means "universal life energy."

I am Thomas Claire, a Reiki Master Teacher
trained in the Traditional Usui System of Reiki Healing (Usui Shiki Ryoho). Through The
International Reiki Learning Center, I am pleased to offer training in all levels of
Reiki, from beginner to Master. I offer training in Reiki throughout the United States,
arranged through the Center's headquarters in New York City. I also offer training
throughout the rest of the world, including all areas of Europe, from a centrally located
base in Paris, France. My teaching is based on the traditional method of Reiki healing as
revealed by Mikao Usui and preserved and passed on to us by Hawayo Takata. The Usui system
of Reiki is considered to be the authentic and original form of Reiki healing.
In case you are new to Reiki, you might like to know a little about this subtle yet
powerful approach to health and well-being. Many people have heard about Reiki and are
curious about it, but are confused as to what it really is. Here is a brief description of
Reiki.
Reiki: Channeling Universal Life Energy
Reiki literally means "universal life energy." It is an energetic
healing technique based on ancient Tibetan healing practices that have been passed on to
us through Japanese masters. Reiki practitioners tap into universal life energy for the
purposes of healing themselves and others. Reiki aligns universal with personal energy for
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. If you are interested in fostering
personal transformation, you will most likely find Reiki especially powerful. Reiki
involves a series of attunements, or initiations, to activate its healing power.
Reiki is traditionally taught in three levels, each involving a series of
teachings. I teach each level of Reiki in a one or half-day workshop, with ample time for
discussion and supervised practice. Certification in instruction
is provided at all levels of Reiki training, with certificates and manuals provided upon
completion of each level of training.
 | Reiki I: Hands on Healing
During Reiki I Training, participants receive a series of four attunements. These
attunements activate Reiki energy and enable the individual to provide a hands-on Reiki
treatment. Reiki treatments involve gentle hands-on touch, administered with the receiver
fully clad. As part of Reiki I training, participants receive closely supervised training
and practice in the hand positions that are used in a treatment, as well as detailed
information regarding the background and theory of Reiki. At the conclusion of this
workshop, participants will be able to give a full Reiki I treatment to themselves and
others. Open to all.

| Reiki II: Distant Healing
During Reiki II Training, participants receive additional attunements, which amplify the
energetic power of their treatments, and also learn a set of visual symbols. These symbols
can be used during hands-on treatment, as well as to send healing energy at a distance.
Participants are taught how to use these powerful symbols to transmit healing energy over
long distances, with the use of photographs. For this reason, participants are encouraged
to bring one or more (preferably polaroid) photos of friends or relatives to practice
"absent" healing. Open to all those who have completed Reiki I training.

| Reiki III: Reiki Master Training
During Reiki III Training, participants receive an additional attunement and learn a
final, master symbol. The attunement and understanding of the symbol allows them to take
their Reiki practice to the deepest level possible. In addition, it empowers them to
become Reiki Masters themselves, capable of teaching others in all three levels of Reiki
training. Complete instruction is provided in how to conduct attunements and train others
in Reiki. Open to those who have completed Reiki I and II training.
