NOTE: This story takes place after 'Graduation'.

A few weeks had passed since Elizabeth had graduated from Baker High. The events of the week leading up to her graduation had provided her with a better insight into her life and her place in the Halliwell household. Everything that had happened brought her and her sisters closer together. Elizabeth could not imagine a life without them but no one could have predicted what was to come.

Elizabeth had made the decision to go start SFU in the second session of summer classes. She wanted to get ahead of the game and get on her way. She still strove to be the best just as she had in high school the only difference is in high school she did everything to make her sisters proud but now she was doing things to make herself a better person. Most people have an entire life to grow up but because of her extraordinary birth she only had a matter of a few years. Elizabeth had fallen in love with her Guardian and the Halliwells and their supernatural boyfriends had spent the summer fighting demons and protecting the innocent.

This particular morning Elizabeth got up and went downstairs to the kitchen not knowing that her life was about to be changed drastically.

Piper "Morning."

Elizabeth "Morning Piper."

Piper "So where were you last night?"

Elizabeth "Adam and I went out. He managed to get the night off so he took me to see a movie and out to dinner."

Piper "You two have been getting pretty serious lately."

Elizabeth "I guess you could say that. I love him Piper and its nice to have a guy in my life. You had Leo and Phoebe had Cole and I didn't have anyone and now I do."

Piper "It's a good feeling isn't it?"

Elizabeth "Yes it is."

Piper "So when are you going out with him again?"

Elizabeth "We're going to lunch this afternoon. He is going to come here to pick me up after I get out of class."

Piper "You hold onto him tight because from what I can tell he is a great guy and great guys are hard to find."

Elizabeth "I will. I don't know what I would do without you…without any of you."

Phoebe is standing in the doorway listening.

Phoebe "You would keep going and beat the life out of all evil because that is what we would want you to do."

Piper "But you don't have to worry we're not going anywhere for a very long time."

Elizabeth "I know but with everything that has happened in the past few months I can't help but wonder what life would be like without my sisters and our guys."

Phoebe "I won't lie life would be different but if anything like that ever happens you have to move on with your life."

Piper "Just promise us that if anything does happen to us you will not give up hope."

Elizabeth "I promise."

The sisters hug each other. Piper looks at her watch.

Piper "Don't you have a class to be getting to?"

Elizabeth "Yes I do."

Phoebe "Have a good day and I love you."

Piper "Have fun."

Elizabeth starts to walk out of the kitchen. Piper looks up and doesn't know why but she has to tell Elizabeth that she loves her.

Piper yells after her.

Piper "I love you kiddo."

Elizabeth leaves the house. Little did they know but Azis a life energy-stealing demon had been hanging around listening to what they had been talking about.

Azis "Soon enough I will have all of you and your powers."

Several hours later Piper and Phoebe are in the living room when Phoebe gets a premonition.

Phoebe sees Elizabeth running into the hospital and into a room. She as obviously upset and she is talking to a doctor. The doctor leads her into a room where Piper and Phoebe are hooked up to respirators and don't look too good. She can hear the doctor.

Doctor Johnson "I'm sorry. There is very little to no brain activity. You might want to be making some decisions about the quality of their life from here on out. You should be considering the possibility of pulling the plug on them."

Phoebe can see Elizabeth crying but she doesn't see Cole, Adam, or Leo anywhere around.

Phoebe comes out the premonition and staggers backwards. She starts to fall backwards when Piper grabs her and steadies her.

Piper "Phoebe what did you see?"

Phoebe tells Piper everything that she saw and heard.

Piper "Okay this isn't good."

Phoebe "You think. What I don't understand is I didn't see the guys there with her and I couldn't tell where we had any serious injuries."

Piper "It has to be serious or the doctor wouldn't of recommended pulling the plug on us."

Phoebe "The guys would be with her if anything happened to us right?"

Piper "I know they would. The only thing that I can think of is that they are hurt to."

Phoebe "What do we do now?"

Piper "Phoebe I want you to get some paper and write down everything that you saw then write down our theories of what might happen."

Phoebe "Why?"

Piper "Because if anything happens to us we need to make sure that Elizabeth knows what is going on."

Phoebe "Do you really think that it could happen today?"

Piper "We can't know for certain how far in the future your premonitions take place so we have to make sure to cover all the basics."

Phoebe "Good idea."

Phoebe grabs a piece of paper and write on there what she saw and heard. Then her and Piper both add a message.

Piper's message read: "Elizabeth we don't know what is going to happen but I want you to know that no matter what happens we love you and we won't give up without a fight. Take care of yourself and remember that I love you."

Phoebe wrote: "Elizabeth it's hard to say what the future holds for us but from what I saw it isn't good. But remember that if this is a demon then we will beat it and be a family again. Be strong and know that no matter what happens we will be with you in spirit. I love you little sis and take care of yourself."

After they both write their messages they look at each other.

Phoebe "I never thought I would be writing that kind of message. Where should we put it?"

Piper "In the Book of Shadows. It'll be safe there and it's the most likely place she will go first."

Phoebe "Good point. I'll take it up there."

Piper "I'll go with you and see what I can find in the book."

They both head upstairs to the attic. Phoebe opens the book and puts the note in it.

Phoebe "I hope she never has to find this letter."

Piper "Me to, but we have to be ready for anything."

Phoebe "Agreed."

Piper is flipping through the book for anything that could explain Phoebe's premonition. Phoebe begins to look around when she notice the guys aren't around.

Phoebe "Where's Leo?"

Piper "Funny I was just about to ask you the same question about Cole. Leo got called away last night. What about Cole?"

Phoebe "He wanted to find out what the bad guys are up to."

Piper "We're in the middle of a crisis and our guys are off doing whatever."

Phoebe "What do you say we get them here?"

Piper "Sounds like an idea."

Piper and Phoebe "Leo, Cole, Adam!"

After hearing the call Leo, Cole, and Adam orb and shimmer in. All of them are ready for a fight. They look around and see nothing.

Cole "What's going on?"

Leo "It sounded like an emergency."

Adam "What happened?"

Phoebe and Piper tell them what Phoebe saw.

Piper "We don't know what to expect."

Leo "But none of us were there."

Phoebe "Right."

Piper "You guys wouldn't abandon her if anything happened to us would you?"

Leo "Never and I certainly wouldn't abandon you."

Cole "If anything ever happened to any of you especially you Phoebe then I would do whatever it took to get you guys back."

Adam "I'm here to stay through thick and thin so I would be there."

Phoebe turns to Piper.

Phoebe "Looks like we were right."

Leo "Right about what?"

Piper "We think that something might happen to you guys as well."

Cole "Not exactly what I wanted to hear."

Leo "Okay so we have nothing more to go on then you two in the hospital."

Cole "That isn't much to go on."

Phoebe "So what do you think happens to us?"

Just then Azis appears in the room.

Piper "Who the hell are you?"

Azis "Azis is the name and I'm here to take you life energy."

Phoebe "Well he gets right down to the point."

Piper "I don't know about you Phoebe but I'm kind of attached to my life."

Phoebe "Extremely."

Piper "Sorry you can't have us."

Azis "But I can. You don't have the power of three so I can do whatever I want."

Cole "As confident as ever Azis."

Phoebe "You know him?"

Cole "Unfortunately."

Azis "I heard you took up with them but I didn't believe it."

Cole "Well believe it."

Azis "Then I guess I'm just going to have to take your life energy as well. But I think I'll take your girlfriends life first."

Azis disappears and reappears behind Phoebe. Cole shimmers over to her and pushes her out of the way and comes into contact with Azis's life stealing hands. Cole's lifeless body collapses to the ground. Phoebe runs over to Cole and Azis goes after her again. Adam goes to protect Phoebe and his life energy is stolen by Azis. Piper tries to freeze him but he keeps disappearing and reappearing so Piper can't get a lock on him. Piper drags Phoebe away from Cole and Piper, Phoebe, and Leo try to make a run for it. They make it to the stairs and Azis appears in front of them.

Azis "Give it up witches I've won."

Leo "Evil never wins."

Azis "It does now."

Azis reaches out and grabs Leo and steals his life energy he collapses to the ground and disappears.

Azis "Supernatural good guys. You steal their life energy and there bodies just disappear into nothingness. Now its your turn witches."

Phoebe "I don't think so."

Phoebe kicks him but he just disappears and reappears in front of her. He reaches out with his hands and steals her life energy.

Piper "PHOEBE!!"

Phoebe's lifeless body collapses to the ground and rolls down the stairs.

Azis "Only one left."

Azis grabs Piper.

Azis "Any last words witch before you spend eternity in nothingness?"

Piper "Yeah go to hell."

Azis "Been there not a bad place to live."

Piper "You won't get away with this."

Azis "But I already have and without any of you it'll be a cake walk to get your sister."

With that Azis reaches out and takes Piper's life energy. He disappears and she rolls down the stairs. A few minutes later Elizabeth comes home.

Elizabeth sees how quiet it is and gets worried.

Elizabeth "Piper…Phoebe!"

Elizabeth walks into the living room and sees Piper and Phoebe on the ground. Elizabeth runs over to them and checks their pulses. Phoebe has a pulse but Piper doesn't. Elizabeth does CPR on Piper. A few minutes later she has Piper breathing. Elizabeth runs over to the phone and calls 9-1-1. In a matter of minutes Darryl and a ambulance arrive at the house.

Darryl runs over to Elizabeth and the paramedics follow behind him.

Darryl "Elizabeth what happened?"

Elizabeth "I don't know. When I got home I found them like this. Phoebe had a pulse but Piper didn't and I had to give her CPR."

Darryl "Okay I will give you a ride to the hospital."

Paramedic "Are they allergic to anything?"

Elizabeth "Not that I know of."

Paramedic "We had better get them to the hospital."

The paramedics take Piper and Phoebe from the house and Elizabeth goes with Darryl. They arrive at the hospital and a doctor is waiting for them. Darryl waits with Elizabeth in the waiting room.

Elizabeth "Why is this happening?"

Darryl "I don't know. But you know Piper and Phoebe they are fighters. They won't give up without a fight."

Elizabeth "I hope your right."

A few minutes later the doctor comes out to see them.

Doctor Johnson "Your Piper and Phoebe Halliwell's sister correct. I'm Doctor Johnson."

Elizabeth "Yes, how are they?"

Doctor Johnson "I wish I had some good news for you but the news isn't good. Do you know what happened to them."

Elizabeth "No, I came home and found them like this."

Doctor Johnson "Piper came in with a concussion and little to no brain activity. Phoebe has a bruised rib cage and little to no brain activity. I have admitted them both to the ICU and I got them one room so that it would be easier on you."

Elizabeth "Can I see them?"

Doctor Johnson "Of course. I'll walk you up there."

When they reach the room the doctor stops her before she goes in.

Doctor Johnson "I have to warn you. In order to keep them breathing I had to hook them up to a ventilator. There are several wires and lots of machines in the room. I'll be honest with you their condition is very serious and they are in a deep coma. I don't know if they will recover."

Darryl "Thank you doctor. We're grateful for everything you have done."

Doctor Johnson "If you need anything else then feel free to ask."

Elizabeth "We will."

Elizabeth and Darryl walk into the room. As soon as Elizabeth sees her sisters lying there with tubes coming out of them she breaks down. Tears start to flow down her face. Darryl pulls her into his arms.

Darryl "It'll be alright."

Elizabeth "I can't lose them Darryl."

Darryl stands there a few more minutes comforting her. Then Elizabeth walks over to Piper and Phoebe's bedsides. She sits between the beds and holds each of there hands.

Elizabeth "I don't know what happened but you two can't leave me. Please don't leave me. I love you two so much."

Darryl comes up and puts a hand on her shoulder. Elizabeth stands up to leave the room.

Darryl "Where are you going?"

Elizabeth turns around and throws her hands up and blows up a chair behind him. Darryl ducks.

Darryl "What the hell!"

Elizabeth "I don't know. That is Piper's power. How can this be?"

Darryl "You're asking the wrong guy. Where's Leo?"

Elizabeth "I don't know. It's not like him to not be her for Piper."

Elizabeth pauses.

Elizabeth "Leo, Adam, Cole!!"

No one appears.

Darryl "Where are they?"

Elizabeth "I don't know. Something is wrong I can feel it. We need to get back to the manor."

Elizabeth and Darryl leave the hospital and he takes her to back to the manor and goes up to the attic with her. Elizabeth goes straight to the Book of Shadows.

Darryl "What are you looking for?"

Elizabeth "I'm trying to figure out how I got Piper's powers and I have a feeling that this isn't just an accident. This whole thing just feels wrong."

Darryl "Do you think a demon did this?"

Elizabeth "The only injuries they had came from falling down the stairs. The doctors have no explanation for what happened and Leo, Adam, and Cole are all missing. Something isn't right here. Do you have a better idea?"

Darryl "I've seen stranger things knowing your family so I guess anything is possible."

Elizabeth flips through the Book of Shadows and comes across a page that catches her eye. Elizabeth reads the page out loud.

Elizabeth "When a witch is separated from her body but not dead her powers automatically pass to the next closest related good witch to protect the power. The witch acts as a host for the power acquiring them exactly as they were when the original witch was separated from her body. The host is used to protect the powers from falling into the hands of evil. However, this only works when the original witch wills her powers to this individual at the time of separation."

Darryl "And all of that means what exactly?"

Elizabeth "It means that in order to protect their powers, when the demon did this to them, they willed their powers to me in order to insure that in the powers of the Charmed Ones never fail into the hands of evil."

Darryl "So what exactly did the demon do to them?"

Elizabeth "A very good question. Since I wasn't here I don't know what the demon looks like or what its power is. Until I can figure that out they are going to stay like they are."

Darryl "Are they brain dead or what?"

Elizabeth "All I can figure is that they have somehow been separated from there bodies."

Darryl "Meaning?"

Elizabeth "Their minds have been separated from their bodies somehow and there for in medical terms they are indeed brain dead. My theory is that they are trapped somewhere."

Darryl "So what do we do?"

Elizabeth "We keep them plugged into life support until I can find out what happened and how to help them. Until then I have to keep in school and manage Piper's club."

Darryl "I can help out with the club if you'd like."

Elizabeth "I can't ask you to do that."

Darryl "I figure that since you know more about witchcraft than I do then I'd be better served keeping P3 open."

Elizabeth "Thank you so much Darryl."

Darryl "No problem. If you need anything and I mean anything don't hesitate to call me."

Elizabeth "I will."

With that Darryl leaves the house. In limbo Piper, Phoebe, Cole, Adam, and Leo all appear.

Piper "What hit me?"

Cole "A pissed off demon."

Phoebe "Where are we?"

Leo "It looks to be limbo."

Phoebe "Limbo as in between life and death. Are we dead?"

Adam "Well since Leo, Cole, and myself are supernatural we were sent here because our life force was drained in essence destroying us."

Piper "Can you guys come back?"

Leo "If Elizabeth comes through for us and can find a way to destroy Azis and free us from limbo then we will all be restored."

Piper "What about our powers did Azis get them?"

Cole "What was your last thought of?"

Piper "Elizabeth and leaving her alone."

Phoebe "Same."

Leo "Then Elizabeth received your powers."

Phoebe "How?"

Cole "Call it a witch safety. That's why demons like to catch witches off guard."

Piper "Great were stuck in limbo…wait a minute Phoebe and I should be dead."

Leo "You were dead Piper. I could feel your spirit fade away but then all I can guess is Elizabeth came home and saved you."

Adam "Most likely your bodies are on life support or both of you would have crossed over."

Piper "Just great we are stuck in limbo for god knows how long and no way to get out."

The next three weeks see Elizabeth falling into a routine. She would wake up in a empty house, go to school, go to the club and get it ready for Darryl at night, meet Darryl at the house on his lunch break so they can go over things to find anything that they might of missed the day before, then she would go to the hospital and see Piper and Phoebe. The hospital personnel had come to know her by name and treated her very nicely.

Two weeks after the attack Elizabeth goes to the hospital to see her sisters. As usual she sits in a chair between the two beds and talks to her sisters.

Elizabeth "I don't know if you guys can hear me or not but I need you. This whole thing is getting to be too much for me. I can't pull this off alone and Darryl is helping me as much as he can but his main focus is helping me keep the club open and taking some of the stress off of me."

Elizabeth pauses and holds Piper's hand.

Elizabeth "I'll be honest it's kind of strange coming home and it being so quiet. I miss you guys and I'm starting to wonder if I have what it takes to save you. In three weeks I haven't even got through half the Book of Shadows and I don't even know what I'm looking for."

Just then the Doctor comes in.

Doctor Johnson "Can I speak with you in the hall."

Elizabeth "Sure."

Elizabeth joins Dr. Johnson in the hall.

Dr. Johnson "I just got back the latest test results and things don't look good. The only thing keeping your sisters alive are the machines."

Elizabeth "What are you saying?"

Dr. Johnson "Follow me."

Dr. Johnson takes her into the room where her sisters are.

Dr. Johnson "Look at the way your sisters are living. Do you want them to spend the rest of their lives on those machines? There is no way that they are ever going to wake up."

Dr. Johnson pauses.

Doctor Johnson "I'm sorry. There is very little to no brain activity. You might want to be making some decisions about the quality of their life from here on out. You should be considering the possibility of pulling the plug on them."

Elizabeth "No, I don't care if I spend my entire life supporting them I am not pulling the plug on them."

Dr. Johnson "You're only prolonging their suffering."

Darryl had been standing in the doorway.

Darryl "Doctor Johnson I think Elizabeth has made up her mind and I think that we should support her decision."

Dr. Johnson "Of course."

With that Dr. Johnson leaves the room.

Elizabeth "Thanks Darryl."

Darryl "No problem. How are they?"

Elizabeth "Same as they were three weeks ago. I don't know if I can save them."

Darryl "Your getting stressed out. Take a break it's Friday go to the club tonight and have fun instead of staying at the manor and searching through the book. Maybe a night off is what you need."

Elizabeth "I'm not stressed out."

Darryl "I've known you since you arrived in the Halliwell's house and out of all your sisters you are most like Piper. And have you seen Piper when she gets stressed out? You're not as bad as her but you're a lot like her and you even share some characteristics with Phoebe, which could be good or bad. Just think about it okay."

Elizabeth "Okay."

Elizabeth goes over to Phoebe and holds her hand. All of a sudden Elizabeth is hit with a premonition of Phoebe putting a note in the Book of Shadows. She also sees a demon attacking her but she can't see the demons face.

Elizabeth comes out of the premonition and looks at Darryl.

Darryl "What happened what did you see?"

Elizabeth "We have to get to the manor."

Darryl "Why?"

Elizabeth "I'll explain on the way. Let's go."

In limbo the other listen to what is going on in the room.

Piper "Okay would someone explain to me how we can hear what she is saying?"

Leo "Since were not dead just stuck in limbo we can still hear what is going on in the room around us."

They are all sitting on the ground beside a peaceful river.

Phoebe "I could get use to this place."

Piper "Phoebe!"

Phoebe "I know we have to go back but I was just saying it would be nice to live in a place like this and not have to fight the Source or the creatures he sends after us."

Leo "If Elizabeth doesn't figure this out we mind be spending eternity here."

Piper "She'll figure it out I have confidence in her. She has used my power and she just got a premonition so we know that our powers are safe and she is using them."

Phoebe "She'll save us."

On the way to the manor Elizabeth explains what she saw. When they reach the manor they both run up the stairs to the attic. Elizabeth picks up the book and turns in upside down waiting for the note to fall out. Elizabeth reads the letter to Darryl.

Elizabeth "So they knew what was going to happen."

Darryl "Isn't that exactly what Dr. Johnson said to you today?"

Elizabeth "Your right it is. Looks like we couldn't stop Phoebe's premonition but maybe we can bring them back."

Darryl "You said you saw the demon attack."

Elizabeth "I saw the attack but I didn't get a good look at the demon through the premonition. This just confirms that it was a demon and most likely this demon is responsible for the disappearance of Adam, Leo, and Cole along with the Piper and Phoebe being in near brain dead."

Darryl "At least you have something to go on."

Elizabeth "I'm going to hang around here this afternoon and see what I can find out."

Darryl "Okay, I get off work at 5:00 so I'll come by here and pick you up on my way to the club tonight."

Elizabeth starts to say something.

Darryl "No arguing your coming."

Darryl looks at his watch.

Darryl "My lunch break is about over so I'd better get going. Remember I'll call you before I leave my house."

Elizabeth "What does your wife think about you spending so much time here and at the club?"

Darryl "She knows that I am friends with your family and she completely understands what I'm doing to help you in fact she supports my decision, she has even come to the club with me a few times."

Darryl heads for the attic door.

Darryl "Don't forget."

Elizabeth "How could I with you reminding me every five minutes. I'll see you tonight."

With that Darryl leaves the house and Elizabeth returns to the Book of Shadows. After a while of not finding anything Elizabeth decides that maybe Darryl was right and she needs a night to relax. Elizabeth walks down the hall and stops in front of Piper and Leo's room. Elizabeth hesitates but opens the door and goes inside. Elizabeth sits on Piper's bed.

Elizabeth "Piper I wish you were here. I can't do this alone it has already been three weeks and I'm no farther than I was when this all started. Why did you all have to leave me? Why wasn't I here to help you?"

Elizabeth pauses with tears flowing down her face. Elizabeth decides to plead to a higher power.

Elizabeth "I know you can hear me. I'm not just trying to save my sisters but I'm trying to save the Charmed Ones, one of your white lighters, a Guardian, and a reformed demon. I can't do this alone so a little help would be nice."

Elizabeth gets off Piper's bed and goes to the living room. She watches TV for about an hour until she hears a noise in the attic. Elizabeth carefully walks up the stairs and stands outside the attic door. As she enters she sees a woman and a man with their backs to her. They both turn around to face her. Elizabeth is shocked by who the woman is; standing in front of her is Prue, and a mysterious man. Elizabeth brings fire to her hands and prepares to fire.

Elizabeth "Who the hell are you?"

Prue "I haven't been gone that long."

Elizabeth "You're dead you can't be here."

Prue "Anything is possible when you ask for help."

Elizabeth "How do I know that your not a demon?"

Prue "When we went back to 1983 to get you and returned here you aged the intervening years. Out of all of us you are the most like Piper with a little bit of Phoebe and I thrown in. The week of your graduation they let the family come home. You're in love with Adam a Guardian. The Monday before your graduation Piper gave you a necklace just like I had for her and Phoebe."

Elizabeth "Okay good enough but how is he?"

Matthew "I'm Matthew a White Lighter. The elders heard your call for help and sent me in as a temporary replacement for Leo and asked me to get Prue and bring her with me because she knows the book."

Elizabeth powers down the fire.

Elizabeth "Sorry about the interrogation but I can't be to sure anymore with Piper and Phoebe gone."

Prue "I understand. Let's bring them home."

Matthew "Do you know what demon did this?"

Elizabeth "I was kind of hoping you knew."

Prue "Well this could be a problem."

Elizabeth "You're telling me I've been at this for three weeks and nothing."

Matthew "I was told that you have Piper and Phoebe's powers am I correct."

Elizabeth "Yes I have both of their powers and I have trained with them so I have a good amount of control over them."

Prue "Well now what?"

Elizabeth "Now I go downstairs and get ready for Darryl to pick me up."

Prue "Why?"

Elizabeth "Ever since this happened Darryl has been running the club every night and I have been staying here slaving over that book trying to find anything to help them. He decided that I needed to take a break tonight."

Prue "I think that is a good idea. You go have fun and I'll go through the book. Maybe Matthew should go with you as well just to be safe."

Elizabeth "I'd like that if that is what you want Matthew."

Matthew "You can call me Matt but yeah it's okay with me."

Elizabeth "Okay then Matt I'm going to go get ready and as soon as Darryl gets here we can go."

Elizabeth goes and gets ready then she returns to the attic. Elizabeth shows them the letter Phoebe and Piper left her.

Prue "So they knew?"

Elizabeth "I can only assume that they knew but didn't know when it would happen. It happened just before I got home from classes."

Just then Elizabeth hears a knock on the door and goes downstairs and finds Darryl waiting at the door.

Darryl "You ready to go?"

Elizabeth "Yes, but first I want to show you something."

Elizabeth drags Darryl upstairs where he sees Matthew and Prue. Darryl goes over and gives Prue a big hug.

Darryl "I thought you were dead."

Prue "I am. I was sent here to help Elizabeth solve this problem."

Darryl "And him?"

Matthew "My name is Matt and I was sent here as a temporary replacement for Leo."

Elizabeth "Do you mind if he comes with us tonight?"

Darryl "Why not it is technically your club I'm just managing it till the true owner returns from her encounter with death."

Prue "I'll stay here and go though the book."

Matthew and Darryl leave the room and head downstairs. Elizabeth stays behind for a minute. As soon as the guys are gone Elizabeth gives Prue a big hug.

Elizabeth "It's great to have you here."

Prue "I might be dead but I'll never abandon my sisters especially in a time of crisis. Now you go out and have fun."

Elizabeth goes downstairs and joins the guys. They arrive a P3 a few minutes later. Matthew and Elizabeth dance and talk while Darryl watches over the club. Several people come up to her and send their best wishes to Piper and Phoebe. After the club closes they help Darryl clean up and he takes them back to the manor. All three of them go inside and up to the attic. Prue has been working hard all night but with no success.

Elizabeth "Find anything?"

Prue "We don't have much to go on since you didn't see the demon."

Elizabeth "I had a premonition and that is how I found the note and I saw a demon attack them but I didn't get a good look at it."

Prue "How did you get the premonition?"

Elizabeth "I touched Phoebe's hand at the hospital."

Prue "Okay we need to go there first thing in the morning and see if you can get another premonition."

Elizabeth "It's worth a shot. I'm willing to try anything at this point."

After spending a few more minutes talking Darryl leaves and Elizabeth makes up a bed for Prue and they both go to bed. Matthew goes back to the elders to see if they knew anything else. The next morning Elizabeth wakes up to the smell of coffee and she heads downstairs to the kitchen to find Prue.

Elizabeth "Always the first one up. I'm glad you're here to help. I don't think I could of done this myself."

Prue "You could of but a little help couldn't hurt."

Just then Matthew orbs in.

Elizabeth "Anything?"

Matthew "They still don't know anything. This attack wasn't arranged by the Source it had to have been a random attack."

Prue "Then we had better get Elizabeth to Phoebe and see if she can get a premonition."

Matthew "You can't be seen out of this house so I'll orb you two there."

Prue "Sounds good to me but Elizabeth can orb herself."

Matthew "That's right your Sam's daughter. Your father was a great man."

With that they all orb into Piper and Phoebe's hospital room. Elizabeth closes the door and locks it so that no one walks in on them.

Prue "They look to be in bad shape."

Elizabeth "No brain activity, the only thing keeping them alive is the machines."

Prue "Lets see if you can get a premonition."

Elizabeth "For there sake I hope I can."

In limbo everyone is listening to what is going on.

Phoebe "That's sounds like Prue."

Leo "And the guy sounds like Matthew."

Piper "Who?"

Leo "A white lighter I trained."

Adam "Good reinforcements have arrived."

Cole "Three weeks late."

Leo "They are trying to figure out who the demon is. We have to make sure she sees the attack."

Piper "And how do you propose we do that?"

Leo "By joining hands with Phoebe and concentrating on the attack. Maybe just maybe we can give Elizabeth a premonition."

Phoebe "It's worth a shot."

Piper "We don't have anything to lose."

They all join hands and concentrate on the attack.

Back in the hospital room Elizabeth takes Phoebes hand into hers and concentrates trying to get a premonition. Just as she is about to give up she hears the ringing in her ears that she heard the first time and sees the premonition. Elizabeth sees the attack from both Phoebe and Piper's eyes. She gets a good look at the demon and comes out of it. Elizabeth turns around and looks at Prue.

Prue "What did you see?"

Elizabeth "We have got to get to the Book of Shadows."

Elizabeth goes over to the door and unlocks it then they orb back to the manor. Elizabeth runs over to the book remembering something that she had seen a few days before. She finds a page about Azis.

Elizabeth "Azis!"

Prue "What?"

Elizabeth "That's him."

Prue and Matthew both walk over to the book and Elizabeth reads out loud what the page reads.

Elizabeth reads, "Azis a life energy stealing demon that steals the life energy of its victims and leaves them brain dead. No spell has ever been invented to destroy him and no witch or supernatural being has ever survived an attack by him. His power is generated through his hands. He steals his victim's life energy by placing his hands on them and drawing it out."

Matthew "I've heard of him before."

Prue "Tell me the book is wrong and someone has survived him."

Matthew "I wish I could. I have never heard of anyone surviving an attack by him. Many spells have been written but none of them have ever worked. He is a very powerful demon."

Prue "But no one has ever had the power of three."

Elizabeth "News flash Prue I'm the last living Charmed One and one does not make three."

Prue "It does when you have all their powers."

Matthew "She has a point. All the powers of the Charmed Ones are within you which should give you the power of three."

Elizabeth "Great now all we have to do is write a spell to destroy him."

Matthew "One problem."

Elizabeth "Why is their always a problem?"

Matthew "By now he has figured out that you have all the powers so he won't be stupid enough to attack you. In order to free them from limbo you have to enter limbo yourself defeat him there then return here and destroy him with the spell. By knocking him out of the world of limbo you will severely diminish his powers making it possible for you to destroy him by using your powers."

Elizabeth "Oh is that all."

Prue "So how does she get into limbo?"

Matthew "You have to come near death in the world but it is very risky. Your heart has to stop and breathing cease for you to enter limbo. You will have to read a spell with your sisters there then we can pull you back here and take on Azis here. But like I said this is very risky."

Elizabeth "How do you propose I die here?"

Matthew "I don't know."

Prue "I do. When a ghost attacked Phoebe and me a few years ago I had to die in order to fight him. Phoebe and I created a poison that stopped my heart and they used CPR to bring me back."

Elizabeth "Sound like a plan."

Matthew "It should work but there is always the risk that we won't be able to get you back."

Elizabeth "It's a risk we have to take. Now all we need to a spell."

Just then there is a knock on the door and Matthew goes down and opens the door for Darryl. They return to the attic where Elizabeth is working on a spell and Prue is getting everything together to make the poison. They explain what is going on to Darryl.

Darryl "Do you think this will work?"

Elizabeth "Let's hope so."

Darryl "Will they all be restored to how they were before the attacks?"

Matthew "They will all be returned to there bodies but all of there bodies have underwent a great amount of trauma. In Adam, Leo, and Cole's cases I will take them to the elders where they will evaluate them and check them out. Piper and Phoebe will be weak and may remain comatose for a few days but they will live."

Elizabeth "Then let's get going. I think I have a spell."

Elizabeth shows them the spell. The spell reads (Thanks to Tim for the spell):

HERE WE CHARMED ONES STAND IN OUR FINEST HOUR,
DESTROY THIS DEMON WITH HIS OWN CRAVINGS FOR POWER!

Prue "That should work."

Elizabeth "Now let's go make this poison and kill me so I can save them."

Darryl "That sounds so wrong."

Prue "Yes it does."

They head downstairs and Prue makes the poison and hands the vial to Elizabeth.

Prue "Remember you have a very limited time there. We will give you 5 minutes then start CPR to bring you back. Not a second longer."

Elizabeth "I understand. What is this going to be like?"

Prue "It'll take a few seconds to work but you'll collapse and just stop breathing."

Elizabeth "This is going to suck. Five minutes then bring me back."

Prue "You can count on us. Bottoms up."

Elizabeth drinks the vial and a few seconds later she collapses and Prue and Darryl ease her to the ground.

Prue "It's all up to you now little one."

Darryl "Beat this demon."

They start timing it. The next thing Elizabeth knows she is in a tranquil place and she spots the others sitting on the ground around a lake. They don't notice that she is there and she hears them talking.

Piper "I haven't heard anything in the room today by now Elizabeth or Darryl have come by."

Phoebe "How sad is this we are stuck in limbo waiting to be rescued listening for our sister and friend to tell us what is going on."

Piper "Do you think they can save us?"

Elizabeth "I'd say we can."

They all turn around and stand up. Elizabeth walks over to them and Piper and Phoebe hug her.

Piper "What are you doing here?"

Phoebe "Did Azis get you?"

Elizabeth "No, Prue and a white lighter named Matthew showed up last night. We came up with a plan."

Elizabeth explains the entire plan to them.

Piper "Will this work?"

Elizabeth "We hope so. We need to call out Azis and read this spell. Then Prue, Darryl, and Matthew will bring me back and I'll take it from there and hopefully free all of you."

Phoebe "How do we call him?"

Cole "By saying his name. He thrives in limbo."

Elizabeth, Phoebe, and Piper "Azis!"

Just then Azis appears.

Azis "What do you witches want?"

Elizabeth "Your end."

Elizabeth, Piper, and Phoebe read the spell.

HERE WE CHARMED ONES STAND IN OUR FINEST HOUR,
DESTROY THIS DEMON WITH HIS OWN CRAVINGS FOR POWER!

They repeat the spell several times until Azis burst into flames.

Phoebe "Is he gone?"

Elizabeth "Not yet. He will return to the real world where I can hopefully destroy him and bring all of you back."

Piper "Be careful."

Elizabeth "I will. It still maybe a few days before I see you guys so I love you and I will save you."

Piper "We know."

Elizabeth "The girls embrace."

Back in the manor 5 minutes is quickly approaching.

Prue "This has to work."

Matthew "5…4…3…2…1…time."

Prue and Darryl begin doing CPR to bring her back.

Darryl "1…2…3…4…5…breath."

Prue breathes into her mouth.

Darryl "Come…back…to…us…5…breath."

They do this several times.

In limbo Elizabeth feels them bringing her back.

Elizabeth "Time for me to go back. Don't give up because I will get all of you out of here."

Piper "We know."

With that Elizabeth disappears from the world of limbo and takes a deep breath and Prue grabs her into her arms.

Prue "Deep breaths little one."

After a minute of being back Prue and Darryl help her stand up.

Darryl "Did it work?"

Just then Azis appears in the manor.

Elizabeth "Can't someone even take a break after being dead for 5 minutes."

Darryl "I'll take that as a yes. What do we do now?"

Matthew "We destroy this demon."

Azis goes over to Darryl and tries to steal his life energy but he can't. Instead he throws Darryl against a wall knocking him out.

Matthew "He lost his power to steal life energy."

Azis "I can still destroy all of you."

Azis grabs Matthew and throws him over by Darryl. Elizabeth levitates and kicks him in the face. Then Elizabeth stands next to Prue and throws a fireball at him. Azis dodges it and grabs her by the neck and slams her into the wall. Elizabeth is stunned and Azis tries to kill her. He grabs her arm and throws her against the wall again. He dislocates her left shoulder and she has blood coming down her face from a deep cut on her forehead. Prue grabs him off her and distracts him while Elizabeth struggles to regain herself and stand up. Azis is about to hit Prue when Elizabeth hits him with a energy blast. Azis turns around.

Azis "So you want more witch."

Elizabeth "I want you gone."

Azis "Stupid witch you can't destroy me."

Elizabeth "Says who?"

Elizabeth feels that her left shoulder is dislocated so she calls up Piper's power to blow up things and her power to shoot fireballs. Elizabeth takes aim and fires at him. As soon as the blast hits him he screams.

Azis "Nooooooooo!"

Elizabeth "Says me!"

By this time Darryl and Matthew have both gotten up and Prue runs over to Elizabeth who is bleeding and injured. Matthew and Darryl both run over to her.

Prue "Way to kick some demon ass."

Darryl "Can you heal her Matthew?"

Matthew "I'll try."

Matthew tries to heal her but can't.

Prue "Why isn't it working?"

Matthew "I don't know."

Elizabeth "It's not meant to."

Darryl "Okay we have to get you to the hospital."

Just then Leo, Adam, and Cole's bodies appear in the room.

Matthew "I'd better get them to the elders and have them check them out."

Darryl "Okay, I'll get Elizabeth to the hospital."

Prue "I'll go with you Matthew I don't think people would understand why a dead person is walking around."

Darryl takes Elizabeth to the hospital where Dr. Johnson treats her while Darryl waits in the waiting room.

Dr. Johnson "What happened?"

Elizabeth "A car accident."

Dr. Johnson "Your family has some bad luck."

Elizabeth "Can I go now?"

Dr. Johnson "Of course. Your shoulder is dislocated so you need to keep it in the sling for three weeks, and your ribs are severely bruised. It took 8 stitches to close your forehead up so just rest for a few days and follow up with me. I'll go get Inspector Morris."

Dr. Johnson walks into the waiting room.

Darryl "How is she?"

Dr. Johnson "Her left shoulder is dislocated and it took 8 stitches to close up her head wound plus her ribs were severely bruised. She needs to take it easy for a few days and I've prescribed some pain killers if she needs them."

Darryl "Thank you for everything Dr. Johnson."

Just then Dr. Johnson gets paged as Elizabeth comes out.

Dr. Johnson "It's your sisters room."

Darryl, Elizabeth, and Dr. Johnson all take off running upstairs to Piper and Phoebe's room. When they enter the monitors are showing brain activity.

Nurse "They just started showing brain activity a few minutes ago."

Dr. Johnson "This is impossible."

Elizabeth "Not impossible just very unlikely."

Darryl "We told you they were fighters."

Dr. Johnson "I don't know what you know that I don't but if this keeps up we might see your sisters waking up in a few days. I think this can actually be declared a miracle. Would you mind if I record this case in the Medical journals."

Elizabeth "I don't know."

Dr. Johnson "I'll be willing to arrange for their doctor bills to be drastically reduced."

Elizabeth "In that case you have a deal."

A week passes and Elizabeth is slowly healing. Prue has been allowed to remain alive and in the manor until the others return. Matthew has been with the elders trying to make sure that Adam, Leo, and Cole are okay to return to the manor. Elizabeth and Darryl visit Piper and Phoebe everyday but no change since Azis was destroyed. Prue remains at the manor waiting for word hoping for the best. Exactly a month after the original attack Elizabeth and Darryl go to visit Piper and Phoebe. They are both still hooked up to the monitors but the breathing devices had been removed that morning but the doctors still have not allowed themselves to believe that Piper and Phoebe are out of danger. Elizabeth goes into the room and sits beside Piper. Elizabeth's left arm is still in a sling so she takes Piper's hand in her right hand.

Elizabeth "Do you know what today is you two? Today it has been exactly a month since the original attack. I want you guys back. I want my family, my sisters, back."

Elizabeth is sitting holding Piper's hand when she feels a small squeeze. Darryl sees a strange look on her face.

Darryl "Elizabeth, what is it?"

Elizabeth "She…she just squeezed my hand. Go check on Phoebe."

Darryl goes over and holds Phoebe's hand and she squeezes it.

Darryl "Phoebe just squeezed my hand."

Elizabeth holds Pipers hand tight.

Elizabeth "Come on you two open your eyes come back to me. Darryl go get the doctor."

Darryl runs to the nurse's station and gets the doctor. They both come running back into the room.

Dr. Johnson "When did this start?"

Elizabeth "Just a minute ago. I was holding her hand and she squeezed it then Phoebe squeezed Darryl's hand."

Dr. Johnson "I don't normally believe in miracles but I think that their was a higher force at play here."

Elizabeth "I'd have to agree."

Just then Piper and Phoebe both start to open their eyes.

Elizabeth "Come on you two you can do it."

Phoebe's eyes open first then Piper's.

Elizabeth "I knew it."

Piper is about to talk but Elizabeth silences her.

Elizabeth "Don't talk your still weak."

Elizabeth and Darryl walk out into the hall while Dr. Johnson examines both of them. A short time later he joins them in the hall.

Darryl "Well?"

Dr. Johnson "If I hadn't been watching over them for the past month I wouldn't be none the wiser to the fact that they just spent a month brain dead and comatose. Expect for a little weakness and some hoarseness, from the breathing machines, they will be just fine."

Elizabeth "Thank you doctor."

Dr. Johnson "I should be thanking you for allowing me to write about this."

Elizabeth "Anything to cut the costs down. Can we go see them?"

Dr. Johnson "Of course."

Darryl "Why don't you go in and be alone with them for a while I'd like to talk to the doctor alone for a minute."

Elizabeth "Okay I'll see you inside in a few minutes."

Elizabeth walks into the rooms and looks at Piper and Phoebe. Elizabeth still couldn't move her arm much and the stitches in her head were still visible, compared to her they looked great. She noticed that they were both watching her. Elizabeth sits in between them.

Elizabeth "So…how are you two?"

Piper "Your asking us how we are and you're the one that looks like you got hit by a car."

Elizabeth "Try a pissed off demon."

Phoebe "I thought we told you to be careful."

Elizabeth "You try fighting a demon alone."

Piper "How long have we been in here?"

Elizabeth "Exactly a month today."

Piper "That demon almost won. Where are the guys?"

Just then Matthew orbs in.

Matthew walks over to Elizabeth.

Matthew "Looks like you did it."

Elizabeth "No we did it."

Matthew "You did all the hard work."

Elizabeth "How are the guys?"

Matthew "They'll be fine. The council is going to keep them up they're for another day or two. How are your sisters?"

Elizabeth "As far as I can tell okay."

Matthew "They look a lot better than you do."

Elizabeth "Gee thanks. I'd like to see what you would look like after a demon beat the life out of you."

Matthew "At least he didn't literally beat the life out of you like he did your sisters."

Elizabeth "No then we really would have been in trouble."

Piper "Who the hell is he?"

Matthew "You didn't tell them about me?"

Elizabeth "My sisters wake up after a month and you want me to tell them about Leo's temporary replacement."

Matthew "You told them about Prue being back."

Elizabeth "I told them in limbo and she was our sister, is our sister, and you're a friend that they don't know."

Piper "Hello big sister over here."

Phoebe "And other big sister."

Elizabeth "Sorry, Piper, Phoebe this is Matthew a white lighter that they had bring Prue to me and Leo's temporary replacement."

Piper "Nice to meet you where's my husband?"

Matthew "Right down to the point. Darryl was right you're a lot like her."

Elizabeth "I'll take that as a compliment."

Matthew "It was."

Elizabeth "Thanks."

Matthew "Piper from what I understand Leo, Adam, and Cole will all be back in a day or two and they will be just fine. Now you two need to focus on getting your energy back and getting back on your feet."

Elizabeth "I'm more than ready to get back to life as it was a month ago."

Matthew "I have to go I'm being called. I'll see you later."

Matthew orbs out.

Phoebe "He seems nice."

Elizabeth "He is and when I had been alone for 3 weeks he was a very welcomed addition to the fight and Prue was just a welcomed surprise. She was supposed to leave as soon as you two came around but since I was injured they are letting her stick around until you two get back on your feet."

Piper "I'm glad."

Phoebe "We know this month has been hard on you."

Elizabeth "Considering I'm the one that looks like she belongs in the hospital I'd say your right."

They all laugh. Two days later Leo, Adam, and Cole return while Elizabeth and Darryl are visiting Piper and Phoebe. Matthew comes to the room with them, as does Prue.

Elizabeth "I think I know where this is going. It's time isn't it?"

Matthew "Unfortunately. Piper and Phoebe are by all means back to normal and should be released any day now and Leo is back to resume his position."

Elizabeth "Thank you for everything."

Prue "We didn't do anything you did all the work."

Elizabeth "You kept me from giving up and that helped us save them. Not to mention I never would of found a way into limbo if it hadn't been for you."

Matthew "We might of helped figure that out but I still couldn't heal you when you needed me."

Elizabeth "It wasn't meant to be. I was meant to be injured saving them. There was a lesson to be learned from this."

Prue "And what would that be?"

Elizabeth "Life is to precious to give up on. No matter how tough things look there is always a bright side and something good to come out of it."

Prue "Very good."

Matthew "We have to go."

Prue "Okay."

Matthew gives Elizabeth a hug avoiding her left shoulder.

Matthew "Take care of yourself and stay out of fights with pissed off demons."

Elizabeth "I'll try."

Prue goes over and hugs Piper and Phoebe.

Prue "You two take care of each other and Elizabeth."

Piper "Always the big sister."

Prue "No you're the big sister now and from what I can tell your good at it."

Phoebe "Your still stubborn."

Prue "Always."

Prue hugs Elizabeth avoiding her left shoulder.

Prue "Take care of your self and let your injuries heal before you go fighting another demon."

Elizabeth "I'll try."

Matthew walks over to Adam and whispers to him.

Matthew "You have a special girl over there so take good care of her."

Adam "I will."

Prue walks over to Matthew.

Matthew "Ready?"

Prue "Yes. I love all of you."

With that they orb out. Just as they leave Dr. Johnson walks in.

Dr. Johnson "I have some good news."

Leo "Good news sounds great."

Dr. Johnson "Who are they?"

Leo "Leo Wyatt Piper's husband."

Cole "Cole Turner Phoebe's boyfriend."

Adam "Adam Michaels Elizabeth's boyfriend."

Dr. Johnson "Where have all of you been during this?"

Elizabeth "They were off on a business trip out of the country and I had no way of getting a hold of them."

Dr. Johnson "Anyway, I reviewed the charts and normally brain dead people don't get a second chance at life so I think we should get all of you out of here as soon as possible. So as soon as I go to the nurses station and file these papers and you two get dressed you will be free to go. Just be more careful from now on."

Piper "Believe us we will."

Dr. Johnson "Good."

Piper and Phoebe both get up and get dressed and a few minutes later a nurse comes in with two wheel chairs.

Phoebe "Do we have to?"

Nurse "Hospital policy."

Leo and Cole push them out while Darryl goes to get the car. They get in the car and a short time later arrive at the manor. They go inside and everyone get situated. Darryl and the guys leave to let the girls have some time alone. Elizabeth is upstairs in her room and Piper and Phoebe go up to see her. They enter the room and sit next to her on her bed.

Piper "Just like things were."

Elizabeth "It's great to have both of you back. This place wasn't the same without you. I realized something this past month."

Phoebe "What?"

Elizabeth "How much I need both of you in my life."

Piper and Phoebe both hug her.

Piper "And we need you in ours."

Phoebe "We have all learned a lot from each other and the most important thing we have learned was to rely on and trust one another."

Piper "See we all rely on each other. You came through for us and that is what is the most important. As long as we stick together no demon can ever split us up."

They all hug but are careful to watch Elizabeth's shoulder.

Piper "Now lets get upstairs and fix our powers."

They go the attic and fix all the powers. The next few days see the Halliwell's lives returning to the way they were. Elizabeth's shoulder heals and the sisters return to fighting demons as the Charmed Ones.
