NOTE: This story takes place after 'The End Brings A New Beginning'. Based off of an idea that Tim gave me.

The death of Prue had hurt everyone and anger was running high. Prue was a crucial part of the Halliwell family and when she died things fell apart for a while. Piper and Phoebe had grown close to their father after the death of Prue but they had yet to tell him about Elizabeth. They felt that he would blame her as well as her father for the break-up of his marriage to their mother. Every time he came around they made sure Elizabeth wasn't. But little did they know that Victor was about to find out about her and things were about to take a turn for the worse. The sisterly bond that had been growing stronger faced its toughest challenge yet.

Elizabeth, Piper, and Phoebe were sitting in the living room going through old family albums. Elizabeth saw several pictures of Victor and her sisters and wondered if she would ever get to meet him.

Elizabeth "Am I ever going to meet your father or am I just going to go into hiding every time he comes around."

Piper and Phoebe look at each other.

Phoebe "For now you'll go into hiding."

Piper "It's not that we don't want you to meet him its just that with everything that happened with mom and Sam we're not really sure how he will react to you."

Elizabeth "You can't hide me forever. Sooner or later he will find out about me."

Piper "True but we're just waiting for the right time."

Elizabeth "Piper I'm sure that if there was going to be a right time it would of come up by now."

Phoebe "Good point."

Piper "Phoebe! Elizabeth we will find a way to tell him but it may take some time."

The sisters continue looking through the pictures. Meanwhile across town Victor is planning on paying a surprise visit to his daughters. Victor checks into his hotel room and goes up to get settled in. Elsewhere, The Source has an idea on how to destroy The Charmed Ones from within. The Source calls upon Angester an anger demon to help him complete his plans.

Angester "You summoned me sir?"

The Source "Yes I did. I need you to put a little anger in the Halliwell home."

Angester "What did you have in mind?"

The Source "The Halliwell's father does not know about his ex-wives daughter with her white lighter. I want him to find out and then I want you to enhance his anger."

Angester "Is that all you want me to do?"

The Source "Not exactly. They can recover from anger but they will never be able to forgive him if Elizabeth dies. I want you to offer him a deal on my behalf. I will spare his daughters if he turns over Elizabeth to me. Then a little fatal poison will give us a way to get their powers. They won't let her die."

Angester "You're not going to actually let them live are you sir?"

The Source "Of course not. As soon as I have there powers the young one will die from the poison and the others will meet there end soon after."

Angester smiles.

Angester "Excellent plan sir. I'll be honored to do this for you."

Angester disappears and reappears in Victor's hotel room. Victor turns around to see Angester in the room with him.

Victor "Who the hell are you?"

Angester "Just a demon with a message."

Victor "What do you have to say?"

Angester "Your daughters have been keeping something from you."

Victor "What?"

Angester "The fact that your ex-wife had a daughter with her white lighter. She is now living with your daughters and infecting them with her white lighter half. She is no better then the man that took your wife away from you."

Victor "Why should I believe you?"

Angester "Don't tell them your coming and just show up. You'll see that I'm telling you the truth."

Victor "Fine. Now get out!"

Angester starts to head for the door then turns around.

Angester "I almost forgot."

Angester hits Victor with a blast of anger. Victor is knocked down and when he gets up he feels a whole new rage inside of him.

Angester "When you do find out that she is real I have a proposition for you. My boss wants you to turn her over to me and in turn we will leave your two surviving daughters alone and never bother them again."

Victor "Sounds like a good idea to me. That is if I don't kill her first."

Angester "Now I like that. Just call for me when you have her and your life and your daughters lives will be back to normal."

Victor "What should I call you?"

Angester "My name is Angester and I'm your ticket to a normal life."

With that Angester disappears and Victor is left alone to think about what he said.

Victor "How the hell could they lie to me like this?! What the hell were they thinking?! Those girls are just as stupid as their mother was! I'm going to make Sam pay for what he did to me. When he sees his own daughter die maybe then I'll have my revenge on him!"

Victor runs out of the hotel and a short time later he arrives at the manor. He walks up to the door and pounds on it with his fists. Inside the manor everyone looks at each other and Leo and Cole go to answer the door. As soon as Cole turns the doorknob the door goes flying open.

Leo "Victor."

Cole "Hi."

Leo and Cole both stand in his way blocking his view of the girls

Victor "Out of my way you rejects."

Victor shoves them both out of his path. Piper and Phoebe both see the rage in his eyes and they both stand in front of Elizabeth not knowing what is about to happen.

Victor "I should of known that you two would be just like your mother…stupid!"

Pipers "Now just wait a minute!"

Victor "No! You are going to listen to what I have to say. Why didn't you tell me that your mother had a child with that no good white lighter?"

Phoebe "Because of this."

Victor "You brought this upon yourselves. Its about time that Sam paid for what he did to my family."

Piper "I don't like where this is going. Get out of the house…NOW!"

Victor "I don't like that tone in your voice Piper."

Victor smacks Piper across the face and draws blood. Then he punches her in the stomach and she collapses to the ground.

Leo "Piper!"

Leo runs over to her but Victor stops him.

Victor "Your no better than he was."

Victor hits him and throws him across the room. Then Cole tries to do something but he receives the same treatment as Leo.

Phoebe "Get out and stay away from us!"

Victor "Move out of my way or I will punish you."

Phoebe keeps Elizabeth behind her trying to keep herself between Elizabeth and the enraged Victor. But Victor has other things in mind he hits Phoebe like he hit Piper and then he throws Phoebe across the room. Victor goes over to Elizabeth.

Victor "So you're the product of my ex-wives affair. Well now its time to meet your maker."

Victor punches Elizabeth in the stomach and before she can react to orb or fire at him he grabs her from behind and puts his arm around her neck.

Victor "Time to set my family free of everything that has to do with Sam. Angester!"

As soon as Victor calls Angester appears.

Angester "Good to see that you listened to me. Now hand her over to me and we will be done with this."

Victor "Gladly."

Victor hands Elizabeth over to Angester. He holds her like Victor had. Piper and Phoebe both try to get to her but Angester has a force field around himself and Elizabeth.

Angester "Looks like your father just destroyed The Charmed Ones."

Piper "Let go of her."

Angester "Not so fast."

A needle appears in his hand filled with a liquid.

Phoebe "What is that?"

Angester "The end of the Charmed Ones unless you comply with my demands."

Angester roughly jabs Elizabeth with the needle and injects her with the poison. Elizabeth immediately starts feeling the effects of the poison.

Piper "What did you do to her?"

Angester "Listen carefully witch or she will die. I just gave her a fatal poison. You have 24 hours before you no longer have a sister unless you do exactly as I say."

Phoebe "What do you want?"

Angester "Your powers."

Piper "We don't have a spell to give them up anymore."

Angester "Then I suggest you come up with something or you can say goodbye to your sister. In 24 hours she will be dead. If I get your powers before then I'll give her the antidote and if not she dies and I still win. I'll expect to see you soon."

Angester turns to Victor.

Angester "I don't need you any more."

Angester releases the spell over Victor and Victor falls to the ground with full memory of what he did.

Angester "Say goodbye to her witches."

Angester takes her with him to the underworld and Piper and Phoebe both yell after him. The needle that Angester used falls to the ground and Piper picks it up.

Phoebe "Elizabeth hang on we will save you."

Piper "Don't give up we'll come for you."

They all turn their attention to Victor. He stands up and looks at them.

Victor "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean…"

Piper walks over to him.

Piper "Shut up! I don't want to hear your excuses. I want you out of here and I never want to see you ever again."

Victor "Piper I…"

Piper "I said shut up and get out."

Victor "I can help."

Piper "I said get out."

Victor "Piper please…"

Piper "You might have just cost our sister her life. As of right now I don't have a father anymore."

Victor looks at the blood from where he hit her.

Victor "Please let me help."

Piper balls up her fists and starts hitting his chest.

Piper "I said get out! GET OUT! GET OUT!"

Leo goes over and pulls her off of him and holds her tightly in his arms while she cries. Phoebe and Cole both walk over to Victor.

Phoebe "Get out Victor."

Phoebe walks over to the door and opens it. Victor walks over to her and puts a hand on her shoulder but she pulls away.

Victor "Phoebe…please you have to understand. I'm still your father"

Phoebe "Piper and I don't have a father anymore. I want you gone now."

Victor puts his hands on Phoebe's shoulders and Cole pulls them off of her.

Cole "Don't touch her or any of them ever again. You had better leave now before I lose control and kill you for what you did to them."

With that Victor turns and leaves the manor. Phoebe slams the door shut and Cole pulls her into his arms. Leo looks down at Piper and sees that she is bleeding. Leo pulls her away from him so he can heal her. Then Cole brings Phoebe over and Leo heals her to.

Phoebe "What now?"

Piper "We find her and save her."

Cole "You do realize that your father was under a spell when he did this."

Phoebe "It just made his anger stronger."

Piper "If Elizabeth dies then I will track him down and kill him for what he did to her."

Leo "Calm down Piper."

Piper "Don't tell me to calm down. My sister is in danger because of the man that I used to call my father."

They all stand in quiet for a few minutes thinking through the things that just happened. In the Underworld Angester chains Elizabeth to the wall. Elizabeth is already beginning to feel weakened.

Elizabeth "They will come for me."

Angester "Good for them but in a few hours you'll be praying that your death comes quickly. Because your throat will swell up and make it almost impossible to swallow, breathing will become harder, you'll get a high fever and you'll feel like your insides are about to explode. You'd better hope your sisters do what I say or you will be joining the rest of your family sooner than you thought."

Elizabeth looks at him hoping Piper and Phoebe will come up with something.

12 hours later

Back in the manor Piper, Phoebe, Cole, and Leo are in the attic trying to figure out what to do.

Piper "We have to get to her and get the antidote."

Phoebe "He said we had to give him our powers."

Piper "Not happening. We both know Elizabeth and we know that she would never forgive us if we handed over our powers for her knowing that they will still let her die and probably kill us."

Phoebe "We don't know that for sure."

Cole "No Phoebe she's right even if you two give him your powers he will kill both of you and let Elizabeth die. We have to get to her and get the antidote."

Just then Adam orbs in.

Adam "I just heard what happened. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Piper "Yeah. Leo, Adam I want both of you to go and drill your bosses for any information they may have and find out if they know how we can get an antidote."

Piper hands Leo the needle with a little of the poison still in it.

Piper "Then Cole I want you to see what you can find out in the Underworld and see if you can find out where they are holding Elizabeth. Phoebe and I will stay here and see if we can find a vanquishing spell for Angester and see if we can come up with an antidote."

They all head out to do what Piper told them to do. Piper was not about to stand by and let another of her sisters' die without one hell of a fight. After several hours of searching they finally find a page on Angester.

Phoebe reads the page aloud "Angester is the demon of anger. He was once a mortal man that was cheated on by his witch girlfriend. He killed her but not before she put a curse on him, which caused all of his rage to turn him into a demon. He can cause a humans anger to be magnified to the point that a human would do almost anything for vengeance. No witch has ever been able to destroy him."

Piper "Well that is about to change."

Phoebe "We don't have a spell."

Piper "That has never stopped us before. We'll write one and then we will find him and vanquish his ass."

Phoebe notices the anger in Piper's eyes. Phoebe goes over to where Piper is standing and puts her arm around her.

Phoebe "It's not going to do any good if we let our emotions control our judgment."

Piper "Phoebe he is supposed to be our father how could he do this?"

Phoebe "Most of it was the spell Piper. We have to believe that if he had met her under better circumstances he wouldn't of acted like this. Maybe we should give him a second chance."

Piper "First we find and save Elizabeth then we can think about second chances."

Phoebe "In that case we have a spell to write."

Piper "I'll try scrolling for her while you work on the spell."

Phoebe "Sounds good to me."

Phoebe gets some paper and sits next to Piper while she scrys for Elizabeth. In the underground Cole gets a lock on Elizabeth and peeks around the corner and sees her chained to the wall looking lifeless. Elizabeth had begun to feel worse. She was sure that by now she had a high fever and breathing and swallowing were getting harder. Elizabeth was hoping that her sister would find her soon. She had been trying to orb out but the poison had weakened even her powers. Elizabeth happens to glance over and see Cole. Cole locks eyes with her and he mouths a message to her.

Cole silently "We are coming for you. I'm going to get the others. You hang in there. We will save you."

Elizabeth silently "Hurry."

Cole nods his head and shimmers back to the manor and Leo and Adam also orb back to the manor.

Phoebe "Anything?"

Cole "I found her."

Piper "What?"

Cole "I found her in the Underworld. She's looking bad but I couldn't get to her. She saw me and I told her that we would be back for her."

Piper "Leo, Adam anything?"

Leo produces two vials.

Leo "The elders have encountered this poison before. We have to get her to swallow this."

Adam "Unfortunately the antidote takes a while to work and till then she will still be feeling the poison."

Leo "The antidote takes time to neutralize all of the toxins. We have to give her one as soon as we get to her then the other one when her body has already began to fight the toxins and she is getting better."

Piper "Then we have to get to her."

Cole "Not so fast do you two have a spell to vanquish Angester?"

Piper looks at Phoebe who holds up the spell.

Phoebe "Just finished it."

Piper "How do we get down there?"

Cole "I can shimmer all of us down there but Leo and Adam should stay here."

Adam "Why?"

Cole "As soon as we get Elizabeth we're bringing her back here and we need the both of you here in case anything happens you guys can heal us."

Leo "Just take care of them Cole and bring all of them back."

Cole "I will."

Piper "The let's get going."

Cole "Hold on girls."

Piper and Phoebe both hold onto Cole. They appear in the Underworld and Cole carefully takes them to where Elizabeth is. Nearly 15 hours have passed since this whole thing began and Elizabeth is fighting for every breath yet every breath and movement hurts worse than the last.

They all peek around the corner and access the situation.

Cole whispers, "There are guards all around this area. You won't be able to destroy Angester without the Power of Three and the poison has probably rendered Elizabeth useless to us."

Piper "Okay then. I'll freeze the room, unfreeze Cole, and then we free Elizabeth and you can shimmer us back to the manor."

Phoebe "How do we get her out of the chains?"

Cole "Angester has the key on him."

Piper "We can weaken him if Phoebe and I say the spell together. That should buy us enough time to get the key and get out of here. He should be weakened enough so that we have time to get Elizabeth back to normal before he comes after us again."

Phoebe "Do you know this for sure?"

Piper "No but it's the only choice we have."

Phoebe "In that case lets do it."

Piper "Cole I need you to draw their attention."

Phoebe "Why do you always feel the need to use my boyfriend as bait?"

Piper "We need to draw them all into the room Phoebe."

Phoebe "Just don't blow him up."

Cole "Ready when you are."

Piper "Okay go."

Cole jumps out and draws their attention. All the demons and Angester come running into the room. Piper and Phoebe come around the corner and Piper freezes the room. Piper then goes over and unfreezes Cole. A few seconds later Angester unfreezes but the rest of the room stays frozen. Piper, Phoebe, and Cole starts backing away.

Phoebe "Is that possible?"

Piper "The hell if I know."

Cole "Say the spell."

Piper and Phoebe "Let your anger, Free us from Danger, LET OUR POWER, BRING US PEACE IN THIS HOUR!"

They recite the spell several times and Angester drops the keys.

Angester "You haven't won yet witches I'll be back."

With that Angester disappears. Cole grabs the keys and they run over to Elizabeth who is barely conscious.

Piper "Hold on were here now."

Cole goes through the keys until he finds the one to undo the chains. He frees Elizabeth and Piper and Phoebe support her because she is too weak to stand. They lower her to the ground and check her out. Piper feels her forehead, as does Phoebe. They share worried looks.

Phoebe "This is bad."

Piper "I've never felt anyone this hot before. The poison must be in its final stages."

Cole "We have to get her the manor."

Cole kneels down and picks Elizabeth up in his arms. Phoebe and Piper grab a hold of Cole and they all shimmer back into the attic of the manor where Leo and Adam are waiting for them. Cole slowly lowers her to the ground. Piper gets a pillow and puts it under her head.

Piper "Where's the antidote?"

Leo walks over to Piper and hands it to her. Piper takes the cap off and they hold it to her mouth. Piper and Phoebe both lift her head up.

Piper "Come on sweetheart you have to drink this."

They poor a little bit into her mouth but she can't swallow. Piper and Phoebe both look at each other.

Phoebe "This isn't working."

Piper "Her throat is to swollen. She won't be able to swallow this."

Phoebe "If only we could just heal her throat."

Piper all of a sudden has an idea.

Piper "Phoebe you're a genius."

Phoebe "Now those are words I never thought I would live to hear."

Leo "What do you have in mind Piper?"

Piper "You said that you can't heal her but you could heal her throat long enough for us to get her to swallow the antidote couldn't you?"

Leo "In theory it might work. I'll try. Be ready to get her to swallow it because it won't last for long and the swelling will return."

Leo places his hands lightly on Elizabeth's neck and briefly heals it. Piper and Phoebe both poor the liquid into her mouth and Piper rubs her hand down Elizabeth's throat to try and help her to swallow it. They finally get her to drink all of it before her throat starts to swell again.

Phoebe "What now?"

Piper "Now we play the waiting game."

Leo picks Elizabeth up.

Leo "Then let's move her to her room."

Leo carries Elizabeth into her room. The guys feel that the girls need to be alone now.

Leo "Its going to be awhile before Elizabeth comes around and a while longer before she had her strength back. Adam and I have to go turn in reports to out bosses."

Cole "And I'd better go see if I can find out how badly Angester was hurt so we can try and figure out when he will be back."

Leo and Adam orb out and Cole then shimmers out. Piper and Phoebe are left in the room with Elizabeth lying on the bed unconscious. Piper goes and gets a thermometer to take her temperature. Piper puts it in Elizabeth's mouth then a short while later takes it out.

Phoebe "Well?"

Piper "103.8…she's burning up. That antidote had better start working faster. I'm going to go downstairs and get some ice so that maybe we can help the antidote along."

Piper heads downstairs and gets all the ice she can then she returns upstairs and Phoebe and Piper start icing Elizabeth's face down to try and get her temperature down. Phoebe sits down on the bed next to Elizabeth and holds her hand.

Phoebe "We can't loose her Piper."

Piper goes over and sits on the other side of Elizabeth.

Piper "She's a fighter. She won't give up on life and we won't give up on her."

Phoebe "Your right. I just hate seeing her like this."

Pipers "So do I."

Piper reaches over and puts her hand on Phoebe's shoulder.

Piper "We will all beat this Phoebe and one way or another we will try and sort things out."

Phoebe "I don't know if I should feel sorry for dad or hate him."

Piper "I wish I could tell you Phoebe but that is the least of our worries now. We have to make sure that Elizabeth pulls through then we will deal with dad."

Phoebe and Piper both remain by Elizabeth's side but with the high fever came delusions. In her sleep Elizabeth starts to thrash around and there is nothing Piper and Phoebe can do.

Elizabeth "No…please don't leave me. Piper…I'm sorry…I failed you."

Piper and Phoebe both look at one another.

Piper "That must be from when we were hurt a few weeks back."

Phoebe "She's in so much pain Piper."

Piper "How do you know?"

Phoebe points out a tear coming out of Elizabeth's eye.

Phoebe "That's how."

Piper "We have to let her know we're here with her."

Phoebe "But how?"

Piper thinks for a second then she lays down on the bed next to Elizabeth and pulls Elizabeth close to her. Phoebe takes the clue and does the same thing.

Piper "We're here little one and were not going anywhere."

After the exhausting day they had they both fall asleep like that. Leo, Adam, and Cole return later on and find the girls in the room. Leo finds a blanket and covers them up and the guys go down to the living room.

Leo "Cole, did you find out anything?"

Cole "Angester was hurt pretty bad but he will have enough strength to come after them again in a day or so."

Adam "Let's just hope that Elizabeth is back on her feet by then."

Cole "If the antidote works she will be."

Leo "The antidote can heal her body but I don't know what can heal the girls feelings towards Victor."

Cole "We were here and we saw the attack, hell we were attacked, and we saw how he acted and how the girls acted. I don't know what will help them forgive him."

Adam "Time is probably the only thing that can help this."

Leo "I think your right."

They hear a knock at the door and Leo goes to answer the door. Leo opens the door and sees Victor.

Leo "Victor why are you here?"

Cole and Adam quickly run over to the door when they hear Victor's name.

Adam "What the hell are you doing here?"

Cole "You must have a death wish."

Victor "I understand that everyone is mad at me but I just want to know if you guys got her back."

Cole "Her name is Elizabeth and yes we did get her back."

Victor "Is she going to be alright?"

Leo "We don't know yet but its best that you not be here right now."

Cole "The girls have enough to worry about without your presence here."

Victor "Will you please tell them how sorry I am."

Leo "Of course."

Victor nods his head in thanks and walks off. Leo closes the door and turns to the guys.

Leo "I think he is genuinely concerned about her."

Cole "Unfortunately we can't make the decision of forgiveness or not that has to be up to the girls."

Adam "For their sake I hope they can forgive him."

Cole "Why's that?"

Adam "If they hate him then The Source has got just what he wanted. The family will be weakened and he will have an open opportunity to attack them."

The guys just stand there trying to figure out what to do next. A few hours later Piper feels Elizabeth moving in her arms, as does Phoebe. They both sit straight up and Piper reaches for the thermometer and takes Elizabeth's temperature.

Piper "101.8…it has come down two degrees since earlier."

Phoebe "It's better than nothing."

Elizabeth opens her eyes and sees Phoebe and Piper. She feels a little dizzy and her entire body hurts. Piper notices that she is awake.

Piper "Welcome back kiddo."

Phoebe "You gave us one hell of a scare."

Piper "How do you feel?"

Elizabeth "My body hurts."

Phoebe "You still have a fever but not nearly as bad as earlier."

Piper "I probably could have fried a egg on your forehead, I still maybe able to."

Elizabeth "Did you guys destroy Angester?"

Piper "We hurt him but we couldn't destroy him without the Power of Three. He'll be back but next time we can get rid of him once and for all."

Phoebe "Make him pay for everything he has done."

Elizabeth "Have you two seen your dad since this began?"

Piper "We kicked him out after Angester took you and told him never to come back again."

Phoebe "We have some things to work out with him."

Piper "That's enough talk. You need to get some rest and get your strength built back up."

Elizabeth "It's so hot?"

Piper feels her forehead.

Piper "You're still burning up sweetheart. I'll go and get some more ice and try and help you cool down."

Piper goes downstairs and sees the guys.

Piper "How long have you guys been back?"

Leo "A few hours now."

Piper goes into the kitchen and gets some ice.

Cole "How is Elizabeth?"

Piper "She's awake for now but I don't think it will last long. Her temperature has come down two degrees but it is still dangerously high."

Leo "You need to keep her hydrated."

Piper heads over to a cabinet and gets two glasses and fills them up with water.

Leo "Would you like a hand with that stuff?"

Piper "No I got it honey. You just stay here with the guys and brainstorm on what we should do next."

Piper picks everything up and heads upstairs. Phoebe is still sitting next to Elizabeth. Piper sits the stuff down on the nightstand next to Elizabeth's bed.

Piper "How is she?"

Phoebe "She is in and out. Piper we have to get her fever down. I don't know how much more of this her body can take."

Piper "We have to get some water in her to try and keep her hydrated."

Piper puts her hand on Elizabeth's head.

Piper "Come on Elizabeth I need you to wake up a little for me. I need you to drink some water."

Piper lifts Elizabeth's head up and she opens her eyes a little bit.

Piper "Come on Elizabeth drink this."

Piper holds the glass to Elizabeth's mouth and gets her to drink a glass of water very slowly. Elizabeth starts to fade off again and Piper gently lays her head back down on the pillow.

Phoebe "Is that enough?"

Piper "With the fever she has all this is doing is giving her body more to burn away before the fever causes damage. We need to get more in her but we can't keep her conscious long enough to drink it all."

Phoebe "I'm scared Piper."

Piper "Me to Phoebe. All we can do is try and cool her down and hope for the best."

Phoebe "What if we can't get her fever down?"

Piper "We will get it down."

Piper and Phoebe both share a worried look. They take the ice that Piper brought back and start to ice Elizabeth down again in an attempt to bring her fever down some more.

The guys come upstairs and look in on the girls. Cole walks over to Phoebe and Leo over to Piper.

Piper "Where's Adam?"

Leo "He got called away."

Leo looks down at Elizabeth.

Leo "Any change?"

Piper "Not enough to make a difference."

Cole "Is there anything we can do?"

Phoebe "Just tell us how much time we have till Angester attacks again."

Cole "Not long enough. Anywhere from a few hours to a day. I can't be for sure."

Piper "Let's just hope Elizabeth is better by then."

They all just stand there and look down at Elizabeth. A few minutes pass and Piper and Phoebe share a look.

Piper "One of us needs to go with the guys to the attic and look through the Book of Shadows while the other one stays here with Elizabeth."

Phoebe "I'll go to the attic. What exactly am I looking for?"

Piper "Anything that might be able to help us."

Phoebe pulls out the vanquish spell and lays it on the nightstand.

Phoebe "But we already have the vanquish."

Piper "I think this is one time we need a plan B incase plan A doesn't work."

Phoebe "Good point."

Phoebe, Cole, and Leo head to the attic and Piper sits on the bed next to Elizabeth. She picks Elizabeth's hand up and holds it.

Piper "If you can hear me then you hang in there. I'm not about to lose another sister to The Source. I love you Elizabeth and I'm not going to give up on you so you keep fighting."

Piper starts to think about Victor. He had been out of their lives for so long and then just before her wedding he came back into their lives. It had actually been nice having him around again. She wondered if she should give him another chance since evil did have a hand in what happened. Piper's thoughts were quickly broken when she heard a loud crash and a scream come from the attic. She rushed up the few stairs between her and the attic. As she entered the attic Phoebe landed at her feet. Angester had surprised them and had Leo and Cole cornered in a corner. Just as he is about to attack them they orb and shimmer over to the girls.

Piper "I thought we had a few hours."

Cole "So did I but it looks like I was wrong."

Piper "Gee you think."

Angester "You stupid witches I told you I'd be back."

Phoebe "What now?"

Piper "Good question."

Angester comes after them and they all scatter to avoid being caught in a group. Cole throws bolts of energy at him but he keeps moving to avoid them. He gets a hold of them and tosses them across the room. Next he goes after Piper and Phoebe and he picks them up and throws them over by the guys. He is about to attack again when he is hit from behind with a very weak blast. Victor had come back to check on the girls when he heard a scream so he forced the door open and ran into Elizabeth's room where he saw the spell. He woke Elizabeth up and picked her up in his arms. Elizabeth wasn't even really aware of what was going on. When Victor got her to the attic her first instinct was to fire. Angester started to fire on her and Victor but the guys attacked him and gave the girls a chance to get over to them. She starts to pass out again so Piper and Phoebe take her from Victor's arms and throw her arms around their necks.

Piper "Come on Elizabeth stay with us we need you."

Phoebe "Say the spell then we'll take you back to bed."

Angester comes after them and Piper grabs the spell from Elizabeth and they all start reading it.

Piper, Phoebe, and Elizabeth "Let your anger, Free us from Danger, LET OUR POWER, BRING US PEACE IN THIS HOUR!"

Angester burst into flames screaming and then he disappears. Elizabeth passes out and Phoebe and Piper struggle to support her. Cole and Leo come running over to them.

Leo "Everyone okay?"

Piper "I'd be better if one of you took Elizabeth."

Leo picked Elizabeth up into his arms and carried her back into her room. They put her back to bed and they all turned to Victor.

Piper "I should be pissed that you came back here but since you did just help save us I guess we owe it to you to hear you out."

Victor "When Angester first told me I was upset that you guys didn't tell me then all I wanted was vengeance."

Cole "The spell."

Victor "I'm sorry that any or this happened. Is she going to be okay?"

Piper "We don't know yet. Her fever is still dangerously high."

Victor "I know you two don't want me here right now and I understand that both of you have several things on your mind. I'd appreciate it if you two would give me a call after she gets better and maybe we can all talk this out."

Phoebe looks at Piper for an answer.

Piper "We'll see how things happen. How long will you be in town?"

Victor "Another week or two."

Piper "We'll call you."

Victor "Thank you."

Cole and Leo escort Victor out of the house then they return to Elizabeth's room. Piper feels Elizabeth's forehead and looks at Phoebe.

Phoebe "What?"

Piper "Hand me the thermometer."

Phoebe hands Piper the thermometer and she takes Elizabeth's temperature. Piper reads the thermometer and confirms what she was afraid of.

Piper "Damn it."

Phoebe "What?"

Piper "Her temperature is going up."

Phoebe "That's not good."

Piper "No its not."

Leo "We need to get the rest of the antidote in her. There must have been to many toxins built up for the first dose to hold it off."

Piper grabs the vial and Phoebe and Piper lift Elizabeth's head up and wake her up. Piper holds the vial to Elizabeth's mouth.

Piper "Drink this and you can go back to sleep."

They get her to drink the rest of the antidote and Elizabeth passes out again.

Phoebe "I don't think she is getting any better."

Piper "You think."

Piper thinks for a minute.

Piper "Leo did the elders have anymore of the antidote?"

Leo "Plenty, why?"

Piper "Because the second dose is meant to help the first dose eliminate the toxins but the second one ended up being an extension of the first. We need to give her another dose in order to eliminate the toxins."

Leo "I'll see what I can do."

Leo orbs out.

Phoebe feels Elizabeth's forehead and looks at Piper.

Piper "We have got to get her temperature down."

Phoebe "But how. We've tried everything and nothing is working. Short of buying a snow blower and aiming it at her I'm out of ideas."

Something she says gives Piper an idea.

Piper "Phoebe go get our jackets."

Phoebe "Why its in the high 80's out there."

Piper "Just do it."

Phoebe gives Piper and weird look and goes to get their jackets. A few minutes she returns with them and hands Piper her jacket.

Phoebe "Okay what is this plan of yours?"

Piper goes over to the thermostat and turns it as cool as it will go. The air blows out in a cold burst.

Piper "It may freeze us out but at least it will cool Elizabeth off."

Phoebe "Good idea."

Cole looks at them.

Cole "I love you Phoebe but I think I'm going to go see what the Source is up to because at least it will be warm. I'll see you guys later."

Phoebe "Its okay I understand."

Cole shimmers out. A few minutes later Leo returns and immediately realizes how cold it is in the house.

Leo "Dare I ask why its so cold."

Phoebe "Piper is trying to help Elizabeth by giving the rest of us hypothermia."

Piper "It started off as your idea."

Phoebe "Yes but I was just being sarcastic."

Piper "Did you get the vial Leo?"

Leo hands another vial of the antidote to Piper.

Leo "I'm going to go and check on my other charges."

Phoebe "Cold huh?"

Leo "Just a little to cold for me."

Phoebe "Cole just ditched us to. Will you do med a favor Leo?"

Leo "What Phoebe?"

Phoebe "If I die from hypothermia let Elizabeth know that it wasn't a demon that killed us but the air conditioner."

Leo laughs.

Piper "Get over it Phoebe I'll turn it back up in a little while after it has had a chance to cool her down."

Leo "Till then honey I think I'm going to go and do something."

With that Leo orbs out. Phoebe gives Piper a glare.

Piper "What?"

Phoebe "I'm freezing."

Piper "So am I but we needed a way to cool Elizabeth down quickly."

Piper and Phoebe both finally have it with the cold and they go outside and sit on the stairs leading into the house.

Phoebe "Now this is better."

Phoebe notices that Piper is lost in thought.

Phoebe "Okay spill it."

Piper "What?"

Phoebe "Whatever is on your mind."

Piper "I was just thinking of how close we came to losing Elizabeth to The Source. I don't think I can handle losing another sister to the forces of evil. What if Elizabeth doesn't recover from this?"

Phoebe gets closer to Piper and puts her arm around Piper's shoulders and Piper lays her head on Phoebe's shoulder.

Phoebe "She is just like you…stubborn and determined."

Piper "Thanks I think."

Phoebe "What I'm trying to say is that she will beat this and then we can all get on with our lives and maybe even make up with dad."

Piper "So he's 'dad' again?"

Phoebe "We have all had our encounter with being evil Piper. I kind of understand what he went through and I'm sure you understand."

Piper "I do but seeing Elizabeth like this just makes me wonder how much was the spell and how much was his own anger."

Phoebe "We may never know but he deserves a second chance."

Piper "Actually this is more like his third or fourth chance but I'm willing to give it another try. When Elizabeth is better we'll give him a call and formally introduced him to Elizabeth and start over from the beginning."

Phoebe hugs Piper.

Piper "Ready to go back inside?"

Phoebe "I guess but the first icicle I see I'm coming back outside."

Piper "I'll check on Elizabeth then I'll turn the air down."

Phoebe "Sounds really good to me."

They head upstairs and check on Elizabeth who is still asleep. Piper feels her forehead.

Phoebe "Well?"

Piper "It feels like she has cooled down a little bit."

Piper takes the thermometer and checks her fever.

Piper "100.6…it is coming down."

Phoebe "Great now we can turn down the air conditioner so we don't freeze to death."

Piper goes over and turns the air back up.

Phoebe "It has almost been a day and a half since this whole thing started and she hasn't been conscious longer than two minutes."

Piper "Her fever is coming down again so maybe she'll come out of it soon."

Phoebe "I don't know about you Piper but I'm starving."

Piper "So am I. I'll go make us something to eat."

Piper and Phoebe go down to the kitchen. A few minutes later Leo and Cole orb and shimmer in.

Cole "Looks like things have warmed up."

Leo "How's Elizabeth?"

Piper "Her fever has come down to 100.6 but she is still asleep upstairs."

Phoebe "Did you find anything out Cole?"

Cole "The Source was pretty confident in his plan so it is going to take him some time to reorganize and plan another attack. We should be safe for a few days."

Piper "Now this isn't like with Angester and your few hours or a day turned into a few minutes."

Cole "No this time I'm sure that it will be awhile before he can attack again."

Piper "Good. Maybe we'll have Elizabeth better by then."

Phoebe "First we have to get her conscious."

Leo "Its probably the toxins and fever."

Piper "We've already established that honey."

Leo "What I meant is that in order for her body to fight off the toxins it is keeping her like that to ensure that most of her energy is focused on riding her body of the toxins."

Cole "What are you two going to do about Victor?"

Piper "We're going to get Elizabeth better then we are going to deal with our dad."

Phoebe smiles at Piper. They eat dinner then they head upstairs to check on Elizabeth. Piper feels Elizabeth's forehead and takes her temperature again.

Phoebe "Anything?"

Piper "100.3…not much but a little."

Phoebe "Something is better than nothing."

Piper "She seems to be a little more peaceful now."

Phoebe "How do you figure?"

Piper "Before she was restless and now she just seems to be in less pain."

Phoebe looks at Piper.

Phoebe "You look tired Piper."

Piper "So do you Phoebes."

Cole and Leo take their opportunity. Cole walks over to Phoebe and Leo goes over to Piper.

Leo "Okay Piper its time someone takes care of you."

Leo picks Piper off the ground and carries her out of the room.

Cole "As I see it you have two choices Phoebe. You can come willingly or we are going to have to do this the hard way."

Phoebe stands her ground and smiles.

Cole "Okay the hard way it is."

Cole goes over to her and picks her up and carries her out of the room. In Piper and Leo's room Piper cuddles up to Leo.

Leo "Something on your mind Piper?"

Piper "I'm just wondering how I could let this happen to her. I'm her big sister I should have been able to protect her."

Leo "You can't blame yourself for this Piper. None of us saw this coming. Elizabeth will be fine."

Piper "I know."

Piper closes her eyes and Leo holds her tighter in his arms. In Phoebe's room Cole is laying with Phoebe.

Cole "How are you holding up?"

Phoebe "Things have been crazy. I know that Piper is blaming herself for all of this and I hate to see Elizabeth like that. I just feel so helpless. I don't know what I can do."

Cole "Phoebe I can see it in your eyes your blaming yourself aren't you."

Phoebe "No."

Cole "Phoebe."

Phoebe "Yes. If I had just held my ground a little longer maybe Elizabeth would have been able to orb away or something."

Cole "Phoebe, we both know Elizabeth and she wasn't going to leave you two there. If she wanted to orb away she could have done it the second Victor bust into the house but she didn't want to abandon her sister."

Phoebe "But we let Angester get her."

Cole "There wasn't much any of us could of done but what is important is that neither of you gave up on finding her. No one is to blame but The Source."

Phoebe "What did I do to deserve a guy like you?"

Cole "More like what did I do to get such a wonderful girl like you. Now close your eyes and get some sleep."

Phoebe cuddles up to Cole and falls fast asleep. In the morning Leo, Cole, Piper, and Phoebe all get up within a few minutes of one another. Piper and Phoebe go into check on Elizabeth. She hears them enter the room and Elizabeth opens her eyes to see Piper and Phoebe standing in the doorway. Piper and Phoebe both see her open eyes and smile at her. They go down and sit down beside her.

Piper "Hi, its good to see you awake. How are you feeling?"

Elizabeth "My head hurts and I'm a little dizzy but I feel better than I did."

Piper feels Elizabeth's forehead.

Piper "You still feel a little warm."

Piper reaches for the thermometer but Phoebe is already one step ahead of her and Phoebe hands Piper the thermometer.

Piper "Open up."

Piper takes Elizabeth's temperature.

Piper "99.5…still a fever but not nearly as bad as it has been."

Elizabeth "How long have I been out?"

Phoebe "A little over a day."

Piper "Do you remember anything that happened since we freed you?"

Elizabeth "Bits and pieces."

Cole and Leo hear the girls talking and they go to Elizabeth's room and they both smile when they see her awake.

Cole "So the youngest Halliwell decided to grace us with her presence. How are you feeling?"

Elizabeth "Better."

Leo "You gave us all a scare."

Leo looks at the sky.

Piper "Work?"

Leo "Yeah."

Leo walks over and kisses Piper then he looks at Elizabeth.

Leo "You finish getting better."

Elizabeth "I will."

Leo "Piper don't forget to give her the last dose of the antidote."

Piper "I won't."

Leo orbs out and Cole looks at Phoebe.

Cole "I think I'm going to go and do something."

Cole goes over to Phoebe and kisses her then he turns to Elizabeth.

Cole "Take care kiddo."

Cole shimmer out.

Piper looks down at Elizabeth.

Piper "You must be hungry. I'll go and make you something to eat."

Elizabeth "Thanks Piper."

As soon as Piper is gone Elizabeth looks at Phoebe.

Elizabeth "She's stressed isn't she."

Phoebe "How could you tell?"

Elizabeth "Whenever Piper is stressed she cooks."

Phoebe "That's out Piper. If you want food just wait till she is stressed out and she will cook enough food to last a month."

Phoebe sees that she got a smile out of Elizabeth.

Phoebe "You look a lot better than you did."

Elizabeth "I feel a lot better than I did."

Phoebe hugs Elizabeth.

Elizabeth "What was that for?"

Phoebe "I just felt the need to hold my baby sister."

A short while later Piper returns with a tray of food and the antidote. Piper takes the cap off of it and hands it to Elizabeth.

Piper "Last dose."

Elizabeth drinks it and gives a disgusted face.

Elizabeth "How many of these did I take before this one?"

Phoebe "Two."

Elizabeth "Good thing I wasn't all with it because that stuff is nasty."

Piper and Phoebe both laugh. Elizabeth eats what Piper makes and they sit and talk for a while about what happened with Victor and Angester. Elizabeth yawns and Piper and Phoebe both look at her.

Piper "You need to get some more rest."

Elizabeth "I guess arguing wouldn't work."

Phoebe "Don't even try because your outnumbered two to one."

Elizabeth closes her eyes and is out in a few minutes. Piper kisses Elizabeth's forehead and both herself and Phoebe go down to the living room to talk.

Piper "She's still weak."

Phoebe "But she's coming back to us."

Piper and Phoebe spend a little time talking to one another then they go up and check on Elizabeth. She woke up when they entered the room and she sat up. Piper checked Elizabeth's temperature again.

Piper "98.9…hardly anything left."

Elizabeth "Thank god."

Phoebe "To bad because we could have saved on the electric bill by having you heat the house."

Piper hits Phoebe's shoulder.

Piper "Phoebe!"

Phoebe "Just kidding I'm glad to have you back Elizabeth."

Phoebe hugs Elizabeth, as does Phoebe. The next day passes without incident and Elizabeth gets her strength back and is as good as new. Elizabeth gets up the next morning and takes a shower then she goes downstairs into the kitchen where she sees Leo, Piper, Cole, and Phoebe.

Piper "Morning."

Elizabeth "Morning everyone."

Leo "Good to see your better."

Elizabeth "Thanks."

Just then Adam orbs in and he walks over to Elizabeth and pulls her into a passionate kiss.

Piper "Ew."

Adam pulls away.

Elizabeth "What did I do to deserve that?"

Adam "You got better."

Elizabeth "Getting better has its benefits."

The phone rings and Phoebe picks it up.

Phoebe "Hello."

Everyone notices the change in Phoebe's attitude.

Phoebe "Yeah dad she's right here."

Phoebe hands Piper the phone and they shove it back and forth until Phoebe shoves it at Piper and walks away giving Piper no choice.

Piper "Hello."

Victor "Piper, something has come up and I'm leaving town the day after tomorrow. I'd like a chance to see all of you in person before I leave."

Piper looks at Elizabeth and Phoebe.

Piper "Okay you can come over."

Victor "Thank you."

Piper "We'll see you in a little while."

Piper hangs up the phone.

Phoebe "Is he coming?"

Piper "Yes. Are you okay with this Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth "I'm up for giving him a second chance."

The girls get the house ready and a short time later Victor arrives. Leo, Cole, and Adam have decided to stay just to make sure that his initial arrival goes okay. There is a knock at the door and Leo answers the door.

Leo "Hello Victor. Come in."

Victor walks into the manor and the girls are standing in the living room. They all just stand there for several awkward minutes.

Phoebe "Wow…now this is awkward."

Piper "Let's start over."

Piper and Phoebe take Elizabeth over to Victor.

Piper "Dad this is Elizabeth our half sister."

Victor extends his hand.

Victor "Nice to meet you Elizabeth."

Elizabeth takes his hand and shakes it.

Phoebe "So far everyone is alive."

Everyone looks at Phoebe. Adam, Leo, and Cole all orb and shimmer out feeling that the girls need to be alone with Victor.

Victor "I'm sorry about what happened."

Elizabeth "It's okay. We have all fallen prey to evil."

Victor "I'm ashamed to admit that when I first found out I was angry but not angry enough to warrant my actions."

Victor turns towards Piper and Phoebe.

Victor "I know that I wasn't the best father but I never once hit you girls and it pains me to realize that I struck my two beautiful daughters and nearly cost your sister her life. I don't know if you two, no three, can ever forgive me but I'd just like all of you to know how sorry I am and no matter what I will always love you two. I'd also like the chance to get to know Elizabeth if she will have it."

Elizabeth "I'd like that."

Victor "I can only hope that you girls can forgive me one day. Goodbye girls."

Victor heads towards the door and Phoebe turns to Piper to see what she does. Piper looks at Phoebe then Elizabeth then she runs after him and Phoebe and Elizabeth follow.

Piper "Dad wait."

Victor "What is it Piper?"

Piper "You said that you hoped we could forgive you one day."

Victor "Yes I did."

Piper "Well unless you have an objection I'd like today to be that day. This family has lost too much already. I'd like it if you'd forgive me for what I said to you earlier. I always thought that I was better off without you but I realized that I need a father just as much as Phoebe and even Elizabeth do and I'd like it if you would still be that father."

Victor "Piper…your not the one that needs to be asking for forgiveness. I will always be your father no matter what. I love my daughters and I think that in time maybe I could even earn the title of step-dad with Elizabeth."

Elizabeth "No…not step-dad. I never got to know my real father and no matter what he will always be my father but I'd like it if maybe I could call you dad. I've always wanted to call someone that."

Victor "I'd be honored and I know that Sam and Patty are proud of the way your sisters have raised you."

Piper "I love you dad."

Phoebe "Welcome back dad."

Victor embraces both of his daughters in a hug and they all pull Elizabeth in.

Victor "I hate to run but I have a meeting I have to get to but I'll be back in town in a couple of weeks and maybe we can all get together."

Piper "Not maybe…we will."

Phoebe "I look forward to it now get going before your later."

Victor "I love you girls…all three of you."

They all go out on the steps to sit and watch Victor leave.

Piper "It's been a long couple of days."

Elizabeth "You're telling me."

Phoebe "At least everything ended well."

Piper "And all of us survived."

Phoebe "And a little good even came out of it all."

Piper "He set off to pull us apart but in the end he actually helped to pull our family together. He can keep trying to pull us apart but every time he will lose because you can't overcome The Charmed Ones."

Elizabeth "We're going to have to be more careful now."

Piper "But at least we have the upper hand."

Phoebe "And what exactly would that be?"

Piper "Each other."

They head back into the manor and spend the rest of the day trying to get on with their lives as they were but this encounter with The Source had changed things. He almost destroyed The Charmed Ones and Elizabeth's brush with death would end up forcing the sisters to reevaluate the way they lived. They had learned a new found respect for life and the craft. This experience that was meant to destroy them had made them stronger. Today The Charmed Ones were alive because of their individual abilities to deal with crisis and little did they know how much that would prove to serve them in the future.
