This band originated in the 1940's with the Red Rice Orchestra. Lou Ann Rice joined the band in 1962 and later married Floyd Red Rice.  In 1976 her daughters Joni & Donna Rice joined the band.  During this period of time the band performed pops concerts many times with symphony orchestras in the region & performed for two Governor's Inaugural Balls.  In 1985 the family received the honor "Oklahoma Musicians of the Year".  In 1993 Floyd Red Rice retired & June Carter joined the band.

Lou Ann Rice began playing music professionally at the age of 12.  Had her own band in Junior High School.  She has performed with Gladys Knight & The Pips & was voted "Ladies in the News" in OKC for 1984.  She has performed in 28 states in the US, Canada, & Cairo, Egypt.  She is highly in demand in the OKC area as a great pianist & entertainer.

Joni Rice joined the band at the age of 13.  She has a Bachelors & Master's Degree in Music from the Univ. Of Okla.  After that she worked two years in the Jazz Studies Program at the Univ. Of North Texas.  She has performed with Gladys Knight & The Pips & Airto, the famous Brazilian percussionist.

Donna Rice joined the band at 12.  She has a Master's Degree in Math from the Univ. of Central Okla.  She is an exciting performer to watch.  She dances while she plays bass.

June Carter was named Oklahoma Opry male vocalist of the year for 1985.  He has a rich alluring voice that makes any song sound great.
