This is 11 of us in front of the Gateway Arch on our recent "bridging trip" to St. Louis. We had our "Bridging to Cadettes" ceremony at the top!
We are the Girl Scouts of Troop 5439, newly bridged to Cadette level. We meet on Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. We are Army family members so our membership changes a lot each year. Most of us go to Fort Leavenworth Public Schools.

From 1997 to 1999, we were Junior Girl Scout Troop 5414, although our membership changed a lot between school years. Last year the sixth graders moved on to become Troop 5454, and this year, according to Fort Leavenworth tradition, they (as seventh graders) will become Troop 5439.

We are part of

Trail Hike Patch

The Santa Fe Trail and the Oregon Trail came through our home. There is a lot you can learn about the history of Fort Leavenworth. If you are a Girl Scout and are thinking of visiting Fort Leavenworth, you can even earn a patch by going on a historical walking tour.
