About Trials What is an Observed Trial? Observed trials is one of the most spectacular sports in the world. It challenges a rider's balance, strength and agility over a natural terrain. Riders face "sections", which are specifically designed to test each rider's skill. While in each "section" each rider is individually "observed" by a scorer who records each time the rider touches the ground or other natural obstacle. The rider with the fewest touches wins.
The Ledges The now world famous "ledges" are perhaps one of the most perfect motorcycle trials areas in the world. Formed over a million years ago by retreating glaciers the huge expanses of granite were left exposed and smooth. Perfect for trials!
Please respect the area by staying on established trials and enjoy the best riders in the nation.
