EL ALMA DEL PUEBLO: THE MEXICAN-AMERICANS
In 1994, Filmmakers Monica Delgado and Michael Van Wagenen began collaborating on a film series on contemporary Mexican-American culture. The result was El Alma del Pueblo - "The Soul of the People" a multi-part documentary film series made for television broadcast. With little more than a broken 16mm motion picture camera, borrowed equipment and a naive dream, they set out on their first production MUNDO MILAGROSO (Miraculous World) during the summer of 1994.
