I know this is a little hard to read but it's worth the effort. It appeared in Charleston Daily Mail around 1971. I went looking for the house in April of 1997. I was successful in finding the field where it once stood. A new house is being built there now. Burd's house was loaded onto a flat bed trailer and transported to Ohio. My understanding is that it will be restored there and kept in the family.
