Diane is great with kids. She kept our 3rd thru and 6th graders entertained and taught them the writing process as well. She had a great song playing that promoted reading as they walked in, followed by a slideshow, and concluded by having the kids play Masquerade Mania, a game show from her book. I highly recommend her.”

"Diane Roberts was a pleasure to have visit our school!  She immediately endeared herself to the kids and had them learning and laughing at the same time, no easy task!  After the program, the kids were motivated to read and write more because they saw how much fun it could be.  The teachers and librarian also enjoyed the show and thought it was extremely worthwhile and rewarding."

"As we approach the start of a new summer reading program season, I want to let you know how much we enjoyed your show last year.  You are so dynamic, your personal touch, and your ability to interact with the kids keeps them engaged throughout the whole performance.  Any library that is able to book you next summer is lucky indeed and I know that they will enjoy Ricky Raccoon as much as the kids and parents at Ridglea have done. We always look forward to seeing you."

"When Diane Roberts' book Made You Look was nominated in Connecticut for The Nutmeg Children's Book Award, I had no idea that this amazingly talented lady would visit my library one unforgettable day. In June, 2005 Diane presented a program for middle-grade readers from two neighboring towns. The force of Diane's personality scooped up all the kids who attended and transported them into a world where reading reigns. Diane Roberts not only knows how to write a story that kids love, but also  how to present a program that they will enjoy and learn from. She thoughtfully prepared and organized her show to involve all the kids, connecting to their heads, hearts and funny bones! When Diane Roberts visits your library, you'll want her back again!"

Lynn R. Hidek - Assistant Director / Children's Librarian, Henry Carter Hull Library - Clinton, CT

"Who could have guessed a simple email to Diane Roberts, congratulating her on her book nomination for Connecticut's Nutmeg Book Award, would trigger such a whirlwind!  Believe me, riding the wave of celebrity-status, even peripherally, with Diane was an experience we in Killingworth have yet to recover from! Amazingly fun-filled and thoroughly entertaining are adjectives that quickly come to mind when I remember the trivia format of Diane's presentation.  From the moment she started her game show til the final buzzer buzzed Diane had her young audience hanging onto their seats, or jumping out of their seats - you never knew from one minute to the next! From our most reluctant readers to our most prolific, Diane Roberts had them all - hanging on her every word!"
