"I have to tell everyone about the relief I got from my goode wraps. I was skeptical but had found nothing that would work very well or last very long for shin splint. I wear the wraps after soccer and to bed and have had no problems. Thank you goode wraps." Julie

I wanted to let you know what a wonderful product your knee wrap is. I have a 14 year daughter who plays basketball, volleyball and softball (at the same time) and was suffering from shin splint and patella tendinitis. I ordered one of the knee wraps and in 3 days the swelling was completely gone. From time to time it will reoccur and she will immediately put the wrap on. Usually in less than 12 hours she is as good as new. Recently she suffered a deep thigh bruise and moved the knee wrap up to the thigh and in 2 days it was as good as new. I just ordered a second knee wrap because she wants to wear one on each knee every night to prevent any further pain associated with the patella tendinitis. It is a great product for my child and I will continue to recommend it to all of my friends.

"Shin-splint isn't a specific diagnosis," reports Dr. Robert Gambrell of the Medical College of Georgia Center for Sports Medicine. "It really means that your shins hurt and you don't want to move them." Shin-splint generally involve pain in the front or inside part of the lower leg. This pain frequently results from tendinitis, the inflammation of the muscles where they attach to the bone," said Dr. Gambrell.

Controversy as to the cause of the pain has been the subject of much debate. There are differing thoughts as to the etiology or cause of Medial Tibia Stress Syndrome (MTSS). Most would agree that the condition is exercise-induced, however, little research-supported information has identified the specific cause of pain. The cause or etiology of the pain includes the following:
2. Myositis ñ inflammation of muscle
3. Tendonitis ñ inflammation of the muscle-tendon complex that attaches to the bone
4. Stress Fracture ñ documented description of a bone injury on x-ray or via bone scan
5. Compartment Syndrome ñ swelling, pressure, and ischemia (lack of blood and oxygen) in the deep posterior compartment in the lower part of the leg*
* Previous studies have not found compartment syndrome to be the source of pain in Medial Tibia Stress Syndrome.
