Weimaraners are very unique dogs. They are usually silver or blue haired with blue or amber eyes and have spastic personalities. If a Weim's eyes stay blue rather than changing to amber at puberty it's almost like winning the lottery. Despite his AKC registered name, "Sinatra's Forever Blue", Sterling's eyes are currently silvery-white and are sure to turn amber in a couple of months. The breed is very photogenic (most notably recognized by calendars and books published by photographer and artist William Wegman see the links below).
What makes Sterling so super you ask? Well, he belongs to me, that's why (hehe). I will consistently try to update this page and provide any new pictures, resources about Weimaraners and dogs in general, and any new links of interest I come across.
Sterling is rather mild mannered for a Weimaraner. He is "oh so cuddly" and loves to eat treats. So far he can sit, shake and lay down on command and he is only 5 months old. I am trying to teach him to roll over, but all he seems to do is gnaw at my hands and fight me when I try to roll him over. He is rather stingy and can be lazy at times. But how can you not love his cute little face! After all, he is a "natural" in front of the camera.
One weird thing about him is that he sleeps on his back!!!! I have never seen a dog jump into bed every night and lay like a human being to sleep. Another weird thing is that he can see himself in mirrors and he even watches television!!
He loves to chase pigeons and is very social with other dogs. However, Rhodesian Ridgebacks seem to think Sterling is a walking piece of Alpo - he has been bitten by 2 of those crazy dogs already :( One day he will be big enough to kick their butts on any given bad-hair day (Rhodesian's have weird hair on their backs). P.S. to all Rhodesian owners, don't freak out - I actually love the breed.

This is his very first photo when he was 7 weeks old! He was sooo tiny!
He loves to stick his head in the oddest places!
It was love at first site when Sterling met his Lambskin Gingerbread Man!
One of my more artistic photos, he's sitting on a sculpture in Lincoln Park.
As you can see, he is a big fan of pillows!
Isn't this hysterical. I told you he liked to sleep like a person!!!
This is the stairwell that he hates to walk down when he feels lazy. It is carpetd now -thank God!
I have many more pictures to come. All I need to do is scan the darn things and then I can post them. You will soon see pictures of Sterling at the beach, in the city (Chicago), and even in a tree! Feel free to e-mail me with comments or questions. I know that I am a "sickening" parent that brags about his "child", but so what, at least I don't have one of those annoying "honor student" stickers on my bumper. Have a great day and please check out the links below!!!!!
