| It was after completion of 16 weeks of Radar
school in Great Lakes IL. that I found out I would be furthering my education at
Little Creek Va.. It was at Little Creek that I attended Counter Insurgency School. This
was commonly called Sere School, because it was Survival , Escape, Resistance and Evasion.
After Sere School we Lucky Graduates flew into Saigon the captial of South Vietnam. It was
here that we attended Perimeter Defense School. Three of us lucky Grads drew duty at Nha
Trang Vietnam located about halfway up the country on the coast.. |

is one of the Guns on the perimeter. It took a few seconds after it fired to know if the
shells were going out or coming in. BlackHawk 155mm Cannon. |

are the Projectiles for the 155. That is Ernie March. I found Ernie in 1997 after 27 years
using the internet. Rode the Harley up to visit Him in Upstate IL. in 1997. |

is the Skimmer for use in Operation Market Time Coastal Patrol. |

Insertion Team led by Lt. Cmdr. Fahey; Stinson, Robie,Menke. |
Jim drove the boat and I was the gunner. We inserted recon teams
on the Various islands loacted around Nha Trang's Harbor. We prepped the area of insertion
and stoodby calling in Artillery if needed. The Operation was around Hon Tre Island. We
did other Things at Nha Trang. Jim and I worked in a Garage where we repaired Jeeps, Deuce
& Half Trucks, Dodge Power Wagons and Boats. We also ran Courier To places Like Cam
Rahn Bay and Saigon. In our spare Time we Flew for Naval Intelligence along the Coast.
O-1 Bird Dogs with the Air Force Pilots boy what a trip three times a week. |

Ernie went north to Qui Nhon and me and Tom Donahue (Still
Looking for Him) were transfered to Vung Tau in route to the Mekong and the River
