Let's Dance

The Big Band Era

Let's Dance to Today's Big bands

From time to time we hear about bands playing in the big band style today. Previously, we have saluted them and provided links in a rather haphazard fashion. With this page we are providing a permanent list of such bands and encourage you to support those which may be playing in your area. We must admit we have never heard most of these bands, but that doesn't make much difference since we never heard a big band we didn't like.

UNITED KINGDOM
The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band one of the top working big bands in the UK. Debbie Curtis is the daughter of the late Eddie Curtis, who was a trombonist with many of the great bands of the late forties and 50's. He went on to form the band in 1972 and Debbie re-launched it after his death.(Be sure to catch the YouTube videos)
