The Rapides Parish Police Jury is the governing authority of the Parish (county) of Rapides, located in Central Louisiana. It is a body composed of nine elected officials:

22. Grant 2% annual longevity pay increase for eligible Fire District 7 employees effective August 1, 2008

23. Delete from Fire District 2 Asset List an air compressor, pump with console, computer, camcorder and copier

24. Grant pay increase of $51 per month to current base pay of Fire District 2 and pro-rate throughout ranks effective July 16

25. Business and Career Solutions Center to enter into cooperative, nonfinancial memo of understanding to serve as partner for Louisiana Community and Technical College and Region 6 West College and Career Transition Partnership

36. Authorize expenses of interested Police Jurors and designated employees to NACo Rural Action Caucus Steering Committee on October 16-18 in New Mexico

37. Authorize expenses of interested Police Jurors to attend Black Caucus Empowerment Summit on August 1-3 in New Orleans

38. Ratify expenses of interested Police Jurors and Department Heads who attended Summit on Susttainability held on July 2 in Alexandria

39. Accept resignations from various boards due to Ethis Reform, and the Police Jury to make appointments in August

40. Enter  into intergovernmental agreemetn with Ward 10 Recreation District for one year of general maintenancy by Highway Department not to exceed $10,000 from the Genral Fund

44. Ask Legislative Delegation to re-address Capital Outlay application for Grundy Cooper Subdivision Sewer Extension

45. Ratify contract with Louisiana Department of Social Services for Emergency Shelter Grants Program for the Homeless

46. Enter into subgrant agreement with Family Counseling Agency/Turning Point Shelter for Emergency Shelter Grant

47. Submit a grant application to FEMA for floodplain mitigation as recommended by the Planning Commission

51. Enter intergovernmental Agreement with Town of Lecompte for Parish Highway Department to clean ditches along Sugar Street and Hardy Street

52. Join with Town of Lecompte and request Union Pacific Railroad to cut overgrown weeds and grass within their right of way

53. Extend until December 31 parcel of adjudicated property of 1919 Shirley Avenue

55. Grant consent to City of Pineville for annexation of a portion of Skyline Drive

56. Repair driveway located at 113 Jordan Lane, damaged by Fire District 3 fire truck, subject to approval of Legal Counsel

57. Turn matter of failed sewer system in Colina Heights to Legal Counsel

58. Enter intergovernmental agreement with Town of Boyce to reseal one mile within the Town

59. Receive required report from Acadian Ambulance for May 2008
