I decided on the Tracy Obrien brakes. I
installed the brake handle on the control
stick, and this leaves my left hand free
during landing.
Probably just my technique, but I had a
hard time getting the system bled. Made a
big mess in the shop with transmission
fluid spilled everywhere.
I really like the simplicity of the instal-
lation. I didn't like the thought of running
Tracy Obrien brake handle, stick mounted
Tracy Obrien hydraulic brakes and axle
as per plans, but once again in hide sight, It
might have been a simpler way to go. Also
the Tony Spicer video removed any doubts
about the performance of mechanical brakes.
As always, everytime I strayed from the plans
it seem to cost me time and money.
I think I'll be happy with this brake system,
it looks good and seems to perform very well
also.
