Season Three LimE!ricks

Frequency

A call almost too strange to be told
Brought the guys to a sculpture most bold
"Far out," Johnny grooved
Even Chet approved
But poor Roy was just left feeling old

The Old Engine

An old engine, John and Roy buy
To give restoration a try
It's a battered-up hunk
That's best scrapped as junk
But they can't bear to let history die

Alley Cat

John's initial disgust was complete
But soon mama cat's charm had him beat
When that "dumb dog," Boot
Caused the family to scoot
His concern for their welfare was sweet

An English Visitor

Johnny stood on a fast burning truck
When a very odd sensation struck
Unsurprising, alas
It was loaded with "grass"
Does he not have the strangest of luck?

Heavyweight

A pulled muscle hurt Johnny a tad
When the doc called him soft he got mad
'Til a rescue left him
On a rickety limb
Then skinny didn't seem quite so bad

Snakebite

When a rattler caught John unaware
It gave our boys all such a scare
He got treated in time
Thanks to teamwork, sublime
And we learned that Chet really does care

The Promotion

Promotion rules seemingly funny
Made decision time far less than sunny
But Roy stuck, in the end
With his job and his friend
After all, some things mean more than money

Insomnia

From the klaxon, at night, not a peep
Leading John to insomnia, deep
It'll take more than jokes
Or a rock-a-bye stokes
For this fireman to get any sleep

Inheritance Tax

Johnny thought it more likely than not
He and Roy would inherit a lot
But subtracting the tax
And debts to the max
Less than twenty is all that they got

Zero

Speechless John on TV is a sight
Still, he swears next time things will go right
That chance comes along
And it goes just as wrong
Good thing Roy doesn't get so uptight

The Promise

In reward for John's role as dog-sitter
Paula brought him the pick of the litter
John thought Edna, that pest
Might provide for Sam best
Just his luck, the dumb dog went and bit her

Body Language

While he acted abnormally harried
Frequent calls kept his big problem buried
But the guys had to laugh
When they heard of his gaffe
Amused at the thought of John married

Understanding

Though at first there seemed cause for alarm
The bank hostages came to no harm
While he still sees no link
Between life and John-think
Roy cannot deny Gage has got charm

Computer Error

The Miss Truelove supply ran quite deep
When John called 'bout a bill that seemed steep
One got it all straight
Then he asked for a date
But was turned down for being too cheap

Messin' Around

Gage in charge? While that hardly seemed right
To his credit, the Cap stayed polite
But I think you can bet
When John ended up wet
That old Phantom got off pretty light

Fools

There once was an intern named Kent
Whose views seemed a little bit bent
Brackett thought he might yield
After time in the field
So to Johnny and Roy he was sent

Green Thumb

To the guys, Roy seemed touched in the head
When he kept Mrs. Johnson's plants fed
'Til she dropped by the station
With plans for vacation
Then they clamored to serve in his stead

The Hard Hours

Something worried them, Cap had a hunch
As he watched Roy and Johnny at lunch
No words could speak louder
Than near-untouched chowder
Odd behavior for this hungry bunch

Floor Brigade

For once, Roy's the one with the dream
A sure income or so it would seem
The plan prevails, not
Despite a good shot
But that's par when John's in on a scheme

Propinquity

Too much closeness, the partners can't take
Their routines keep each other awake
It all turns out fine
With a newly-drawn line
One in three's it for their friendship's sake

Inferno

When, to a brushfire, they were not called out
Roy and Johnny could do little but pout
At last their time came
Yet their role still seemed lame
But before long things would heat up, no doubt

Inventions

At inventing our guys are the worst
All their plans for the contest seemed cursed
John, especially, felt burned
When an idea he's spurned
Was the one they selected as first
