In October of 1920 Hall introduced the first three Gold Decorated teapots for a special department store promotional sale: the Boston; French; and New York, three of several teapots in their hotel line. They came in White, Stock Green, and Stock Brown colors, and in a variety of gold decorations.
In 1923 the Philadelphia shape was added to the line, and the Gold Decorated Line was started. These decorated teapots were well received by the public, and sold very well. Each year or so thereafter, another shape was added to the line, as well as new colors. The Hollywood, and Los Angeles shapes were included by 1926.
