"Statement of Beliefs By Sue"
I believe in one Deity called God. I believe that God is represented in a triune or trinity consisting of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I believe each portion of God's Trinity has distinct features and functions. That is not to say that there are three God's. There is "Only One True God". He has Chosen to Manifest Himself to us in three distinct personalities, each with it's own function in the Salvation of man.
I believe that all things are done to the glory of God, and that All things work to the Good to them who Love the Lord.
I believe that God the Son, Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin birth by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and that although Christ is a celestial part of the Triune, He functioned on earth in His Ministry as an ordinary man with the infilling of the Holy Ghost, to set an example to mankind, that even greater things mankind could do in His Name.
I believe Jesus Christ as the Son of God/Son of man, suffered, died, was resurrected from the dead, and ascended to the Father in Heaven, so that we might have a sacrificial substitute for remission of sins and healing of sicknesses through the Blood of our Saviour.
I believe the only requirement to rebirth in the Kingdom of God is to be born again, or saved by grace. I believe salvation is a gift of the Father and cannot be earned by deeds.
I believe in Christ's commandments to love the Lord God first and love our brothers (and sisters) as we love ourselves. I believe all other commandments can and will be fulfilled by fulfilling these commandments which Christ stated as greatest of all.
I believe that all gifts of the Holy Spirit are a reality and that the Holy Spirit is still as active today as when He was sent to earth as another Comforter after the death of Jesus Christ.
I believe all who have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit do not necessarily have all the gifts. I believe they are given on the basis of faith and works and are increased as one shows himself willing to use them.
I believe there are four kinds of healings which cover all our needs: Physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual.
I do believe speaking in tongues is a gift of the Holy Spirit but not necessarily a sign of the Holy Spirit. At the time the Book of Acts was written, I believe it was used as a sign but also to interpret in other languages to those who were present at and around Pentecost. I base this belief on the fact that all who received the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts did not speak in tongues.
I believe the Holy Bible is the complete Word of God and should not be taken away from or added to, except in the context of the original Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic in which the manuscripts were written.
I believe there is an answer or solution to every problem we may encounter written in the Holy Bible.
I believe anything that puts one in bondage spiritually, emotionally, physically, or financially is of Satan and man, and not of God. God sets the captives free; Satan puts people in bondage.
I do not believe in "soul sleep". I believe the spirit of man is either in the presence of the physical body or in the presence of God or in Hell. I believe these individuals will be judged, however, when all mankind is judged.
I believe in the Tribulation and the Millennial Reign of Christ. I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of most of the body of Christ, but I also believe some saints will be here on earth and martyred during the last 3-1/2 years of tribulation as confirmed by John the Revelator, and that God is training Christians for that specific task.
I believe before the end of the Tribulation and before the Millennial Reign of Christ, although it will be too late for salvation for many, truly every human knee on earth shall bow and every human tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lord and King of Kings.~
