Yours truly, center, campaigning at the Manchester Walmart.
Source: Hartford Courant, Nov. 2, 2002.
I am 20 years old, originally hailing from Manchester, Connecticut but currently residing
at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. Right now,
I am currently a History Education and Political Science double major with the hope of
eventually studying law and public policy. I graduated in June 2000 as Valedictorian of my
high school class and entered at UConn in September of 2000 as a Computer Science and
Engineering major. Fortunately for me, I discovered early that engineering wasnt my
forte. My hobbies include reading, writing, watching movies, listening to music, and
hanging out with friends (kind of stereotypical I guess
). I also play in a local
bagpipe band, the Manchester Pipe Band, which was just promoted to Grade 2. On that note, I also try to find time to play with the Trinity College Pipe Band which my father instructs.
This past year I had the honor of joining the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity at
UConn and I have recently been elected the Chief Justice of UConns Student Government. I am also a
proud member of the UConn College Democrats and, keeping with my liberal streak, of the
UConn Chapter of the National Organization of Women
(NOW). This past year I have had the pleasure of volunteering on both Bill Curry's campaign for Governor and Joe Courtney's campaign for Congress.
Thanks for visiting my website, I promise it will get better.
Fin for now. Ryan
