FALL SCENE 2002 (below) - I shot this photo on a clear, crisp early Fall afternoon, 2002--really feeling good about the car, now that most of it's niggling problems had at long-last been sorted out, not to mention the fact that it looked pretty darned cool with it's new set of 165R15 BFG "Silvertown" radials from Coker, complete with proper "period look" 3/4" wide whitewalls, on it's refinished original rims. All was right with the world!

GETTING READY FOR THE PARADE (below) - Here are Mrs. Webmaster, our daughter Sarah (mugging nicely and sporting her Daisy Scouts uniform), and one of our two collies, rough-coated Roxy, all posing by the good old Squareback, before the start of the 2002 Branford (Connecticut) Veterans Day Parade, Sunday November 10, 2002. The location is approximately the corner of Montowese and South Main Streets, in Branford. Pretty collie Roxy wasn't our only canine companion for this parade, however, as you'll see evidenced in the next photo below...

BEN KROM CAPTURES A PARADE SCENE! (below) - A good friend from town, Ben Krom (vanderkroms@yahoo.com), who is a long-time VW guy, and who, like me these days, spends lots of time doing stuff with his kids (his son's in the same Cub Scout troop as my son), had his digital camera out the day of the 2002 Branford Veterans Day Parade, and captured this image showing Mrs. Webmaster at the wheel of the Squareback (note the American flags on the front, and other red, white, & blue decoractions adorning the car), at a point in the parade where all the various groups were "bunching up" at a turn-around spot, to allow the head of the parade to get back out on to Main Street in the return direction (east) for the conclusion of the parade. The cars are still headed west on Main Street in this shot (right near the North Harbor Street intersection; the "Richlin" shopping center is approximately at Ben's back as he took this shot), and a fife & drum corps appears to be passing by in the background. Ben e-mailed this shot to me on 11/20/2002. Great shot Ben, and thanks again!
