Not really a Swedish Restaurant but a restaurant with ambitions in that direction. Let me quote from the Bill of Fare.
What Jessop's Tavern means to food...
To be reflective of the American food history that shaped what we eat today; representative of the English, Dutch and Swedish presence in this region; all comprised in a fashion of which we are now accustomed.
Our kitchen strives to maintain authenticity in our Bill of Fare; you will see Dutch Cheeses, Enhlish pub fare, Swedish sauces, and old American dishes.
Jessop's Tavern and Colonial Restaurant is named after Abraham Jessop, a cooper (barrel maker) who built the original structure in 1724.
