Richard will be appearing in 'This Is Personal - the Hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper' in the UK on Wednesday 26th January at 9pm on ITV.
Richard can
be seen in
Joan of Arc
directed by Luc Besson and filmed in France and the Czech Republic.
The film tells the story of Joan of Arc (Milla Jovovich from The Fifth Element). John Malkovich co-stars as King Charles VII with Dustin Hoffman as The Grand Inquisitor. Richard plays Captain La Hire, one of Joan's most loyal companions. His fondness for swearing earned him his name which means 'The Rage'.
Joan of Arc was tried for heresy and burnt at the stake after leading an army against the British in the Hundred Year War whilst dressed like a man.
The film will be released in the UK on 10th March 2000. It was released in the USA on 12th November 1999.
Richard is also hoping to spend more time this year on his Record label 21st Century Vox and release some albums. He was hoping to release a live E.P. of about six songs and an album this year. These will be of a limited edition. Progress has been slow but he has recently worked with Marcus Testory on recording a CD based on green issues.
The film "Up'n'Under" featured two songs that Richard had written.
Richard attended the convention Wolf359 Legacy on Sunday 14th November 1999 at the Heathrow Park Hotel, Heathrow, London. He joined Marcus Testory for a Q&A session.
Richard attended his first convention at the end of February - Chronicles 99. He seemed to enjoy himself very much and was a great hit with con attendees. During Q&A sessions he talked about his experiences filming Highlander as well as filming Joan of Arc and Fierce Creatures. One such story he told was that it had been his idea that Silas used an axe instead of a sword. Two axes were used in the Bronze Age scenes but when it came to filming the modern scenes they were a bit small! So they made one large axe which suited him better.
